  1. Reading back on this thread i love how user's get insulted for giving their own opinion. I remember when their was a couple of members who wanted Ancelotti out back in 2011, and they were branded as "plastic" by some who want Rafa out now, double standards? i think so.

  3. Looks like kojo and Henrique were right after all.
  4. Aren't ballboys usually 10-13 years old? What i want to know is what on earth is a 17 year old son of a multi millionaire doing as one?
  5. no one could have resisted the way he did in Munich.
  6. If it weren't for his head injury we would have had the Messi of between the sticks, instead we have to make do with having the best goalkeeper in the world.
  7. As im off next week for 2 months i would like to thank the staff for making this site so great, to give up so much free time to keep this site going is amazing.
  8. and here was me hoping for a decent debate, my bad.
  9. What was my original word on the subject, that time is moved on and it's not 1994? I respect Hoddle for what he did and i don't particularly like Benitez, but my love for this club overrides any personal thoughts on individuals. I don't like Ferguson but if he ever put his name in the hat for the Chelsea job when we had our vacancy i would be thrilled.
  10. He did a good job with us in the early 90's and contributed to starting our revoulution this day. But we would right now be appointing a manager who has been out of the game for nearly a decade, you only need to ask Liverpool fans how successful that formula is.
  11. Le Saux is here as an ambassador or atleast he was in the pre season tour in 2011. Is it ok to say that about Le Saux or is that a cheap insult?
  12. Smart ass remark? jesus christ. So it's ok for you to slagg off our owner but not ok for me to merely point out that i don't think an ex manager would do better now than our current one? ok then.
  13. Im well aware of that, but this isn't 1994. Should we resign Dennis Wise and stick him in the pivot while were at it?
  14. This isn't about doubting him. but the fact's are there, he did fantastic in the cup competition's for us, but when it came to league football (which includes the Champions League group stage) we never looked convincing. Robbie will without doubt go and have a successful career at a club like Napoli or Valencia however, i do love the man.
  15. Because the league was the bread and butter, we needed a top 3 finish this season (still do) and Robbie's record in league football leaves a lot to be desired, which includes the CL group stage as that sort off is a league. If we were looking to win cups before anything else this season (which included a top 3 finish) then yes we could have used his cup credentials.
  16. Yes on the face of it that it true, but would Robbie have kept up the same results or would we have nosedived the same way his West Brom team did? With Rafa we knew what we were going to get, which is basically the pattern of results we have got, Robbie we could have either kept up the pattern or nosedived and Turin was a very worrying sign of what might have been to come, to say the least.
  17. If Carlo Ancelotti took over from RDM with the exact same results, would he be getting half the abuse Rafa is getting? Were letting our previous bitterness with the man get in the way.
  18. How do we know? we could have nosedived like his WBA team did. Maybe that's what Roman was worried about. Personally if Robbie stayed i reckon we would have got to the League Cup final but in the league we would be 4th or below. So basically it depends on what you wanted, top 4 or cup wins?
  19. Not rating Rafa is one thing, but Hoddle doing better? we might aswell put McLeish on our next shortlist while were at it.
  20. Bit extreme. The future is as good as it's ever been.
  21. We started this season investing in young players, letting experience go, 1 forward who we never played and serious unbalance in our team, the best we could have hoped for this season is 3rd with some positive signs for the future, so far so good in both counts. If Rafa had this record with one of our 03-09 squads then yes he will deserve every bit of criticism he is receiving, but AVB and RDM aside, every manager we have had under Roman has started with better and more balanced squads.
