He said he is a very good player, as far as im aware that's near enough the opposite of saying his crap.
-
If he scores today can we talk about the goal instead of going over the same shit?
-
I think his attacking abilities are as over-rated as his defending abilities are under-rated. He's technical ability offers something different in defense, as he can run up field with the ball without having someone pacifically tracking him and effectively offering a spare man in attack, but when played in midfield more often than not he will lose the ball if pressed by the opposition. I don't think he will score many this season however, i think he will get 1 or 2 at most from open play (free kicks and penalties might boost his overall total mind). He's a defender first and foremost, and a very good one and that, anything he offers in attack in bonus.

Best individual performance you've ever seen?

Cech's in the Champions League final, he is the reason we didn't suffer probably the most humiliating reverse in CL final histroy. -
Couldn't that be the case for every fanbase? If Everton are 12th in new year and Lukaku is on a goal drought? do you think the Everton fans are going to put their head down and just get on with it? Arsenal fans chant Wenger out after defeats, United fans were calling for Fergie to "do the right thing and retire" during 2003-2006. We have been suffering growing pains (atleast in domestic terms) since the double, how many transition season's before we turn into Arsenal?
-
United didn't stick him as #1 and pin their entire season hopes on him, he was and still is a squad player. If that was all Lukaku could be he would have probably been playing the Ba role this season. Lukaku has a much higher ceiling than that.
-
He hasn't been bad, just Ivanovic has been better.
-
If it was Kevin De Bruyne who put in that performance, there would be a month long wank fest in his player profile regardless of the opponents.
-
Players should have to earn their place in the team and then be kept on their toe's at all times. Do you think we should play Mata all game every game until he retires, just because he was our best player for 2 years?
-
He has talent but when he played for us he seemed mentally weaker than Torres!!! The Newcastle match is a good example, started well, but then gave away a free kick that led to a goal and was a wreck for the rest of the match.

@The_Flash, Maybe Moyes will call a win at Sunderland a famous victory, if they get it ofcourse

I wonder if by the time he has left United he will have quotes like these from Mr Roy Hodgson at Liverpool "It was a very simple decision when I heard he might be available Christian (Poulsen) is an all-round player. He is capable of scoring goals, a good passer of the ball and a good defender too. I don't see him being limited to one particular role. For me, it was a very simple decision when I heard he might be available at what we considered to be a very reasonable price." “Sir Alex is entitled to any opinion he wants to have” (After Ferguson accused Torres of diving) “They’ll be a formidable challenge (Before facing Fourth Division Northampton Town) They'll pressure us, they'll be young and athletic, and our scouts have been quite impressed by what they've seen. They'll be a formidable challenge - there's no question about that." (After drawing at home to Sunderland) "There are no easy home wins in the Premier League, you have to fight for everything. The way we came back from 2-1 down was very commendable and towards the end of the game we were creating a lot of chances. We deserved our point." (On why Meireles was played on the right of midfield) "We don't play with wingers. The way he plays and the way Joe Cole plays, we think (playing wide midfield) is more than suited to their qualities. We saw evidence of that in the game because they often got into situations where they received and turned with the ball - especially in the first half. I think we can get some use from Raul Meireles there with his passing ability." (After the 2-0 loss to Everton) "That was as good as we have played all season, and I have no qualms with the performance whatsoever. I only hope fair-minded people will see it the same way." (Also after the defeat to Everton) "To get a result here would have been Utopia. But I can only analyse the performance. There is no point trying to analyse dreams." (1-0 at Bolton) "Today was a famous victory because we hadn’t won more than once away in the whole of 2010. When you’re down the bottom, and keep being reminded you’re down the bottom, anxiety kicks in." (after losing to Newcastle) " "For a team that wants to be in the top half of the table it's not good enough"" "We are right up there in terms of results" (having won 7 points from 18 and being 11th in the form table) "0-0 would have been a reasonable result for us" (On losing at home, to bottom of the table Wolves) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I love Roy at Liverpool it was fecking hilarious. Lets not forget his famous Oxlade Chamberlain comment, saying he did well against Pirlo and Ambrosini, um Roy, Ambrosini was injured and Pirlo is playing for Juventus I wonder if Moyes will have equally as great quotes by the end of his United tenure?

The key word, last season, you only need to look at Malouda of 09/10 then Malouda of 10/11 to see just how much can change in a summer. Ivanovic is playing well and doesn't deserve to be dropped, it's that simple.
-
But, but, but Tony Gale doesn't agree
-
@Phil Driver, It's easy to say this currently while Ramires and Lampard are the in form pivot players but that hasn't always been the case. This time last year the Mikel and Ramires pivot was winning us games at The Emirates and White Hart Lane.
-
@Styles, Pretty much sums the situation up, we have cover for every position on the pitch (even Cech now) apart from Rami, losing him for any length of time could do some serious damage for our season and will probably force me to re-evaluate my season's expectation's if we lose him for any length of time, he is that important.

Under the management of David Moyes, Hogdson assistant

Not for me #kaloudanelkaalldaway

Thankfuck we didn't sign Fellaini. Bar Torres (and even that's debatable) he makes all our transfer's look like a bargain.
-
As it stands Real could seal their qualify on matchday 3.
-
That's the thing, many people look at City player for player and see a formidable team that will run away with the title, they will be there or their about's, but collectively they really aren't all that.
-
I don't think i have ever come across a team so hyped for so little than Manchester City.
-
oh deary me, we have won 3 of our last 4, just had a good away win in the Champions League but hey lets throw our toys out of the pram because our personal favorite isn't playing Back in the day the club use to come before any one player.
-
If he is in the last year off his contract not that much, unless a bidding war starts. Imagine the statement of intent, imagine if we win the league or go very close then sign him, the statement of intent would be massive.
-
Apparently he is stalling on a new contract and will have a year left next summer. If he hasn't resolved it by then, would it be worth taking advantage of that in the summer?
