I know, i just find it funny that a lot of us use United as an example of how youth should be developed when they let someone that good go.
-
Not to mention we have 3 of our hardest away games out of the way too.
-
Apparently both had attitude problems which is mainly the reason Fergie let both go. So he supposedly gave up on two young players (one of which probably the best i have seen face Chelsea reserve/youth teams in recent years) because there personalities are a bit rough around the edges That's why it annoy's me when i keep hearing how we should follow United's example for developing youth.
-
Paul Pogba and Ravel Morrison would have been good players for United, yet Fergie the supposed youth genius let them go on a whim.

GET INVOLVED - #bbcfootball Jonty Leibowitz: Who'd have thought it was Big Sam Allardyce who could master the false nine?

Depends which Yaya turns up, if the one who played against us last season does were in trouble, if it's the one who turned up at White Hart Lane last April, then were playing 10 men.

Im by no means a Mikel lover, but wasn't hepart of winning teams at The Emirates and WHL this time last year?
-
Be honest, who had a moan when Ba started? Sinking in yet?
-
They never learn do they?

Be honest, who had a little whinge when Ba started? Sinking it yet?

Nothing to do with the fact those 3 AM's won us a CL away game.
-
We should have played Schwarzer, Cech needs a rest.
-
or Paul Pogba? United gave him many chances in the first team and really stuck by the lad even tho his attitude wasn't the best and he wasn't very good, as he is proving now at Juventus.
-
I can understand your point but at the same time, i don't believe we actually planned on loaning him, it was only when a top 6 club managed by a gaffer with a good youth track record came in,Jose changed his mind. Either way, it's been fun debating with you but i have to shoot out as im out on the piss, have a good day

It's a lot different because Terry has already "made it", if that happened when he was in his early 20's/late teens then it might have ended a bit different. I am sure he is going to be a great player for us and it's easy to say throw him/Chala and the rest in because they will be great in the future, but Arsenal use to have that philosophy of "this team will be great in x years time" and were still waiting for it to bear fruit 8 years on.
-
Eto'o's not in his 40's. He is still a decent player who has done ok with us so far,not amazing but not as bad as some suggest, ask Styles about the Eto'o situation,he explains it better than i do.
-
I understand that, but also we have to think of the bigger picture aswell, if he say shows his inexperience in a CL semi final at the Allianz Arena and has a stinker with the world watching, he could suffer mentally with that at such a young age. The mental side is often underestimated in football, look at Scott Carson, was one of the best upcoming young keepers, thrown in for England's do or die Euro qualifayer thinking he was ready, single handedly lost us the match (and qualifaction for Euro 08) and is now a championship goalkeeper than not PL club will touch with a bargepole. That match alone turned his form around, before that match he was the inform keeper in the league, after that he was a wreck that Villa and Liverpool couldn't wait to get shot off.
-
Spot on,and people can say what they like about Eto'o but the guy has been in 3 CL final's won three and scored in two. His experience will be priceless if we get far regardless of the fact he is not as good as he use to be.Terry isn't as good as he use to be, but we can't say we aren't benefiting from his know how.
-
In theory no, but in theory McEachran was our solution to our creativity problems in 10/11. Is it fair to ask a young lad from going to rotating with Shane Long at West Brom to having our expectation's in two of the biggest club competition's in the world on his shoulders?
-
RDM rested him for one match at QPR and that was because he had a holiday during the international break. Mourinho has worked hard in improving other aspects of his game (which will probably stand him in better stead of playing for Spain, can you thinkof any other reason Pedro gets the nod over him?) something which RDM didn't.

Mata was played to exhaustion last season, he was clearly unfit at the start and since coming back into the team he looks an even better and more all round player. I'ts not just the start of this season he lost form, he was a shadow of himself for a lot of the second half of last season too.
-
Yet again 99% of the post's have been about the same shit again (i have been guilty too) Can't we talk about the goal?
-
Next season he will be back, banging in goals in and Jose will be proved right yet again. Just like he has been with Mata and just like he was when he instantly replaced Cudicini with Cech, another decision that got people moaning at the time.
-
His agent/him clearly didn't do his research if he choose Tottenham as a stepping stone. The only chance he will ever have of coming to us now is if he does a Sol Campbell and runs down his contract, which given how we enjoy trolling Spurs, wouldn't surprise me.

I can just about get the uproar in Mata not playing because of what he has already done for us, but KDB has just joined us properly and played a few games where Hull aside he hasn't looked that good. Schurrle has looked better (so far) yet not an eyelid was batted when he was left out of the squad for Basle, KDB gets left out for Steauna and WW3 and every conspiracy in the book bubbles up.
