  1. haha, Tamworth manager is the sub goallie and his son is the first choice
  2. Imagine if we get Tamworth in round 3 away?
  3. You know you are doing shit when your daughter criticizes your tactics
  4. Lets hope Arsenal get Birmingham in the FA Cup 3rd round, their season go down the shit after a game against Birmingham.
  5. It was more of a tongue in cheek comment, and really? Sturridge had a better display against WBA the season before and practically got hounded out of the club. Terry got the equalizer, kept our defense together, Mata got the assist, Lampard and Ramires dominated Spurs midfield, yet Torres who missed two guilt edged chances, the ball for this first goal and get a red get's 117 MOTM votes because he made a couple of good runs against those donkey's Dawson and Vertonghen. He played well for his standards but he was no way our best player on the pitch. The City match he was (our best player on the pitch) and he really played well and deserved the praise an MOTM votes, but the reaction to his WHL game was well, well ott, it was similar to Drogba's game against Arsenal in 2004/2005 and Sturridge against West Brom last season in the sense he played a decent game but other played better and missed a couple of glorious chances. The only difference being two of them got stick like never before and the other got praised to the hilt. I give him praise when he did play well, i did it against City, and will if he has another great single game i will do the same, it changes nothing in the grand scheme of things, i want him gone and can't wait for the day. And it's not just with Torres. Believe me i gave Turnbull, Bosingwa, Pizzaro, Huth amoungst other's just as much flak, and was more than happy when they all the departed the club.
  6. Vertonghen is probably the most over-rated CB i have ever seen in my life. The amount of times he gets caught on the wrong side of a striker is shocking, like against Villa when he had to resort to pulling a players short's down.
  7. Having two world class keeper isn't practical. Yes have a decent one to keep Cech and Courtois on their toe's like Schwarzer, but competition in goal is different to outfield.
  8. I would think so, Jose gave playing time to Huth when we had the 3 best centre back's in the league if not Europe. Considering those two are on a different planet to Huth logic dictates they (or atleast one of them) will get games sooner or later.
  9. Although he was poor i do find it funny how his losing the ball for Stoke's goal gets picked out, when Torres lost the ball for Tottenham's goal at WHL at got punished with 117 votes for MOTM.
  10. I have a mental image of Thiago Silva reading some of the stuff wrote in this thread and laughing his face off. On a serious note, i have said it for years, Luiz may be prone to the odd rush of blood (so was Carvalho, but he had a JT in his prime and the best defensive mid off all time to cover and make sure when he did, it wasn't costly, Luiz doesn't have the same luxury) but what he brings to the table by far outweighs any risk. For one stupid error he makes, Cahill will make about 15 were he fucks up with the offside trap or is spun/tricked by an opposition player. I think we need to look at a long term partner for him, Terry has played well this season, but he has just turned 33, he will hit father time at some point, and we need to prepare for that eventuality, not wait for it to happen.
  11. Play him against Steua, then against Sunderland and build from there.
  12. What? he didn't make Messi his bitch at-all, Messi and Fabregas skinned him alive that night. His performance was overhyped because fans had this romantic notion of the lad from Bolton beating Barcelona. In reality, he was out of his depth and the main reason Barca created so many chances. He is nothing more than a squad player, and he needs to stop playing regularly, i think it's time we start bleeding in Kalas a bit more when Luiz can't play.
  13. This does have the air of a 'best of the bad bunch' title winning season.
  14. Honestly speaking, we started really good, were in complete control, but due to poor finishing and utter complacency allowed Stoke back into the game. Stoke were shit, we let them back into it, it's as simple as that. This was exactly like the Newcastle match, a 5-0 win on a plate, but we threw the dish on the floor. Anyone else praying Zenit get knocked out of the CL so we could make a go for Witsel?
  15. Im so glad we have safe and solid Cahill in our back line.
  16. What on earth was he playing at today? He was a liability, it's like he wasn't even playing, oh wait he wasn't
  17. Got it wrong with the subs today, but every one does sometime or another. We can see what he is trying to implement, but this is a different group of players from 2004, so it's going to take more time. I still think we can win the league, mainly because our rival's have there flaws aswell. I reckon this will be like 10/11 and the best of the bad bunch will win it.
  18. Torres was fucking awful, granted Ba and Eto'o were both bad, but Torres had a mare, and was rightfully taken off.
  19. Like Newcastle in the first half, this was a 5-0 win on a plate if we finished better and applied our-self's properly. Stoke were awful, we (and the ref) let them back in it through utter complacency. Not all is lost, smash Palace and City and Everton get something against Le Arse, all off a sudden things will look allright in the world again.
  20. If Oscar's importance to this set up wasn't obvious before this week, it is now.
  21. I predict he will go on a couple of runs, miss 2 guilt edged chances and get 200 votes for MOTM because he skinned Wilson once.
  22. United could be 10th they lose to Newcastle, Villa beat Fulham and there's a 4 goal swing between them and Villa.
  23. Don't think they got under-rated, they just got emphatically overshadowed by Hazard. Both had pretty decent games tho.
  24. What he brings to the table far outweighs the risk of a rush of blood every now and again, for me.
