  1. Did he? have you got the pacific piece to hand?
  2. That's my thinking too. We might as well squeeze whatever last bits we can out of those 3 while Lukaku plays every week, next season two of them will be gone while the other is #3 behind Lukaku and someone else hopefully. Plus if we count our strikers as 'one', they have 11 between them so far, so if they do that in the second half they will get 22-25, which will be fine considering how many our AM's and even Rami/Lamps get.
  3. Which reports exactly? Plus i have just googled Luis Gustavo and Chelsea, the only 'reports' i can see are that he turned us down, not the other way round.
  4. Although i understand were you are coming from, the situation is completely different. Torres was a £100m striker (contract and transfer), so the club felt they had a (misguided) sense of duty to do what they can to get him to succeed, which unfortunately was in Danny's expense. Eto'o could well sign a pre contract in January, meaning him and Lukaku won't cross path's again.
  5. Nah because of his aerial abilty (although not a tad on Didier) PS: I know you were joking but had to clear the air just incase
  6. If i was offered Witsel to be wearing Chelsea blue next month but no one else signs, i would accept without thinking, get that CM in and we can sort anything else out next summer. What i would like to see (starting next season at the latest) is Jose using one bench slot for a young player he has big plans for and bring them on when we are winning comfortably, if you do that 10 times, it all adds up. I wish he was doing it now with Kalas and Omerou to be honest.
  7. Well in theory that's actually true
  8. If Eto'o decided he wanted to stay and sit on the remainder of his contract like Malouda/Bogarde did to us, then the only way Anzhi could have got rid of him was to release him while paying his whole contract off.
  9. For all his fault's he isn't the typical modern day footballer. Tell him he won't play again and is training with the reserves and he will be gone, i can guarantee it.
  10. Glad to hear he has improved a lot then, after his spell at Leicester i was convinced he was done as far as Chelsea was concerned.
  11. He could have sat on his contract at Anzhi if he wanted too.
  12. The Cahill type of player is good for the squad, he is homegrown, doesn't have a big ego, won't complain when on the bench and happy to sit around and fill in when needed. When you start playing squad player's every game, that is when it will start to show on the pitch, just like it has done.
  13. Thing is with Eto'o is if all else fails he atleast gets the basics right like not turning over the ball nearly every time he gets it, que someone quoting me and mentioning the Stoke game, like he has been doing it all season.
  14. @The only place to be, Why i can 100% understand your upset at the Jose/Lukaku public slating thing, i don't think it's anything personal on Jose's behalf. He did exactly the same to Ricardo Carvalho and he was one of Mou's closest ally's.
  15. It was Hazard that scored that one in the end.
  16. We didn't scrape past Southampton, apart from that first minute blooper we controlled the game against a very good side. and don't worry, we will win at The Emirates, for sure.
  17. He did it last time with Huth when we had the three best centre back around, and Huth was shit.
  18. He should have left on a relative high at the end of last season when he scores vs Benfica and Everton to help achieve our goals (Trophy and 3rd). Oh well, with two strikers coming in next summer (one being Lukaku of course) at worst he will be numero tres next season.
  19. That's the nail on the head really, Cahill is the right type of player to have here, a squad player, homegrown and not a big ego, he can fill in when need to and do a job, like O Shea did for United. I wish we kept Cork for that reason. Jose doesn't seem to get the memo however and is playing him every week.
  20. If Man.City beat Arsenal, it's in our hands to go top off the table. Makes it more the annoying we could have gone top next weekend if we didn't mess up tho.
  21. I have a habit of watching games, going to the toilet and by the time i have got back the away side have scored. I thought i would try it again today and by the time i got back
  22. I was hoping for Fleetwood or Grimsby at home
  23. The reason that defense was so good at the start is because of the midfield protecting the shit out of them and Lloris, if AVB opens up that defense would get picked apart with ease.
