  1. He's done enough to play for the next few games for me. Hopefully he can start adding in some goals in this period too.
  2. The last time we dropped points against them (other than the 3-0) was later that year in a 0-0 when Kevin Phillips had a penalty saved by Cudicini.
  3. Jay Rodriguez has 3 in 4 against us now, just what we need, another bogey player.
  4. This season has showed were Torres can be useful, as a rotation player, he plays well in spades and scores one every now and again, good enough for a rotation squad player but as we found out last season, not close to being good enough for first choice striker. Infact to be fair, all 3 of our strikers are like that, hence the constant change up top.
  5. Many say Mata and Oscar cannot play together but i don't think that's true, i think the problem is when the Mazacar play together, we are just far too narrow, i can't believe it's a coincidence our performance got better today when the trio got broke up. Mata and Oscar played together in Romania (when Hazard didn't) and Carrow Road and those were two of our best displays this season. None of those 3 are a problem in themself's, they just can't play together at the same time.
  6. We were never not winning that, was one of those games were it was pretty obvious it was a matter of when not if we hauled ourself's back into it, a bit like the 5-1 against Bolton in 2005.
  7. Fuck me i never knew Newcastle have creep-ed right up, that's shows how much attention i actually pay to the table at this stage of the season.
  8. I have heard Lionel Messi is fed up off life at Barcelona and is keen to link up with ex team mate Samuel Eto'o at Chelsea. Don't ask me who my source is because i can't tell you.
  9. I don't believe the table should be looked at seriously until mid February, it's round about then the cream starts to rise so to speak, we had West Brom in top 4 this time last year.
  10. We need to get 12 out of 12 before Arsenal and hope Arsenal lose at Eastlands.
  11. If he improves his all round game he could become the ultimate striker by the time he is 23/24, he really could.
  12. Seriously, how bad are Fulham? If the squad was a few years younger they would probably be top half, but to many of that team are well past their peak.
  13. If it's any consolation, Dundee Utd are my home kit on ultimate team.
  14. To be honest i think they do have depth apart from upfront (and even then Podolski when he returns can fill in there). Arsenal's bench today looks pretty handy. Hopefully this is yet another false dawn and they choke again.
  15. In fairness, during the CL run it was probably the right decision due to the fact we needed to defend and defend against Barca and Bayern, so Kalou was the better option at that moment. When Robbie got the job fulltime, it was criminal the lack of game time he got, for me he should have got time up front allowing Torres to rest and time on the wing allowing the Mazacar to rest. He could have probably ended up playing most games. His versatility could have stopped the quartet from burning out and looking shattered.
  16. Looks like we might have to play the long game with this Arsenal team. Us and City must beat them.
  17. Dundee United will demand big money, it's not everyday clubs in the Scottish League hit the jackpot with players.
  18. Score twice against us in the Carling Cup
  19. Mikel over Lampard for this one. Mikel is better under pressure and with Southampton's high pressing game? yeh. Lamps would be better suited playing at the SOL and against Stoke, were he would probably smash in a goal or two.
  20. Ofcourse not, i was just highlighting that Eto'o was pressing high up the pitch and ultimately Jose wants us to play a high pressing game, so you could argue it has already started to pay off. The goal owed just as much to that as it did to the oppo fucking up. But no, we shouldn't be relying on opposition fuck ups, hopefully that will become less frequent as time goes on.
  21. I think we can win it, not because of our strength, because the other teams aren't all that.
  22. The goals against Schalke and West Brom, isn't that what Jose wants, our players pressing high like Eto'o did? while the Hildebrand and Ridgewell shouldn't have made those mistakes they did because they were pressed into it, if Eto'o weren't around both would have cleared quite comfortably.
  23. The thing is Southampton are in no position to sell, are looking good on the pitch and with the homegrown demand in the PL, he won't come cheap.
