We need to sort out a new contract sooner rather than later. He will have 3 years left in the summer, and if we let it go into next season, it slowly creeps into 'player has the power territory'. Im not saying it because of the Real Madrid thing, we should do the same with Oscar and any key player in the same position.

Most games atleast 2 of our AM's are 22. Next season Lukaku, Van Ginkel and possibly Chalobah are going to need their fair share of playing time. We have enough young players in midfield and attack.

I would start Eto'o tommorow, Mingolet's distribution is crap, i actually reckon we can get a bit of joy if Eto'o does his famous press/harass the keeper.

We knew what we were getting when we signed him. Cultured defenders are always going to take risks, it's their nature. Pique is the same, Lucio is the same, Dante does the same. Every now and again that nature will backfire. Lucio vs England, Pique in the confederations cup final, Dante in the super cup vs Chelsea. Hummels another example, see his mistake in the CL semi final against Real Madrid at home? If i had to compare Cahill (in terms off defensive capabilities) to a Brazillian defender it would be Felipe Santana, and he's bench surfing in the German league and can't get anywhere near Brazil's squad. Luiz vs Cahill wouldn't be debatable in any other country, Luiz is class, Cahill is a good squad player. It's like Gary Neville pointed out, these type of defenders are winning WC/Euro's and confederation's while the traditional old school defenders are going home at the last 8 stage, at best.

Fulham are so bad.
-
You are right, although it has to be said we were robbed blind at Anfield last season.
-
Vidic? this is 2013 not 2009.
-
Without a doubt he should have been treated better, i just get the impression that he has been getting over-rated as a manager because people are feeling sorry for him. He wasn't even on people's radar before this incident.
-
The Malky Mackay loving is absolutely hilarious. You would think he was one of the best manager's in the world the way people are going on. They spent £30m in the summer playing bad and hovering just above the relegation zone. Their was similar people on their highhorse when Southampton sacked Adkins, and that didn't work out too badly, did it?

Swansea really aren't all they are cracked up to be, are they? there hype is still on the start they made last season. If i had to pick the 5 worst games played by an away team at The Bridge in 2013 (not necessarily results), i would pick all 3 games against Swansea.

Im starting to think some of the Galatasaray fans are actually Gooners on the wind up.
-
I have been saying that all season.
-
Neither are good enough anymore to lead the line in a team with designs to win the league, so it's about the lesser of the two evils.
-
This, at-least if all else fails with him he gets the basics right, unlike the £50m one.
-
Hilarious isn't it, i remember against Newcastle he had no chances, and all i heard was "he worked hard" and even more laughably "he scored the winner against City, so surely we can forgive him this one", Eto'o came on and found himself having 2 chances, yes he missed them both but that alone was better than anything Torres done all game, and he apparently was and we should have kept Torres on Its laughable the favoritism treatment he gets, it use to wind me up but now i just laugh at it. Tottenham fans do exactly the same with Soldado in the fact they make excuse after excuse for his poor performances while bashing Defoe for any little thing but is Soldado does the same thing it's a good sign
-
What's worse is that Torres on a lazy day makes Berbatov look like all action, energetic high presser.
-
Put it this way, if Eto'o or Ba performed like he did yesterday, there wouldn't be many going on about how 'hard' the supposedly worked.
-
This isn't what Fulham needed. The reason they have nosedived so bad is because half the squad have peaked out, Dempsey is going to nothing to help that whatsoever.
-
If most of those games were at home you would be right. While we should have done better the general rule is to beat the home teams and get what you can away. So far we have played one big team at home, and won.

This argument annoys me. There is many valid reason's as to why Mata should play, but saying "he's the best player of the last two years" just doesn't wash with me. Lampard was the best midfielder in the Premier League in 2009/2010, the following year he was below par and many wanted him to see less game time. Likewise with Malouda. Also i believe if Rafa stayed he would have rotated Mata aswell with the option's we now have, his Liverpool teams always had a balance to it, for that reason alone Schurrle would have probably been Rafa's most used player if he stayed on, with the Mazacar rotating the other two spots.

Swansea aren't all their cracked up to be, they have been bang average for the best part of a year. Having said that we will still need to play well to win, Laudrup is a very good tactician.
-
I felt a better striker would have won us this match, Torres did lose the ball in key areas. He tried hard last night ill give him that, but he just isn't Chelsea quality.
-
What we played tonight is called the percentage game, Fergie was the master of it, he use to go to tough arena's for draw's, get them, and guess who ended up as Champions come May? It was a really good tactical percentage game away from home we have just played, yes as time went on we started to settle more and more for the draw, but what's conveniently not mentioned is Arsenal left Cazorla and Podolski kicking their heels on the bench, if this was at Stamford Bridge and Mourinho made no subs, the media/no nothing's would have a field day. The fact he is getting criticized for tonight's match is hilarious. Most big games between the big seven this season have ended up in home wins, any point you get at the home of a rival is a good one, that has always been the case. A repeat of this in Eastlands in February, and i will be delighted.

I never thought i would say this, but Bushman is well off the radar right now, if this thread and the match thread is anything to go by.

Mainly by United fans, which is quite ironic considering how Rooney' only still there because they made him the highest paid player in English football history. Maybe he will sign a 400k p/w deal soon, really confirm his love for United.
