Similar start like that of Liverpool ... the comeback was great ... And that strike from Azpi ... PHEW!!! As the commentator mentioned, he might not hit another one like this again !!! The goal on the end of first half was the turning point for us ... Gave us the belief to keep going. Wrapped it in style.

The reason I compared him with De gea is because if you are talking about being the best then the yardsticks has to be with the best. Plus the fact that both have almost parallel careers. And about being one among the best thing, I mentioned it already he has potential but he needs to work hard and up his level to get on par with someone like De Gea because he is surely among the best if not the best right now.

I agree that he was amazing with Genk, continued it with Madrid and even maintained in the first season back ... Also good with the national side ... But he is far from being the best in the world, in fact he has been on a decline ever since at Chelsea ... He & De Gea started off pretty much together ... And for me Courtois was a level over him when he was loaded to Madrid. on the other hand De Gea's first year at United was average (imagine the first reaction of a goalie is to use his foot for stopping instead of his hand) ... However over the last few years De gea has actually moved to be one of the best in the world if not the best and Courtois has dropped a level. For me both of them were suppose to be the best in the world but sadly Courtois has lost his pace. U mentioned about the defense ahead of the goalkeeper being the major issue at Chelsea ... Imagine if Courtois had to play at United with the defense they had in the last few years where De Gea has actually made a living ... Courtois would had been out of the team already. Having said this, I believe he has the potential to be one among the best but he needs to up his game by couple of levels ... I have no issues in players talking (shit or no shit, honest or not) ... It is the modern age where you want to be part of the theater ... But when one talks he/she should support it in terms of their actions too.

Disappointed with the loss but I feel in the larger scheme of things he needed this one ... Too much respect in the first half, late subs and not believing in his tactics were the things that let him down. If I have to believe the man from what he has spoken in various interview this should get him thinking and should adapt the dynamics on the field of play... I really hope he comes back with a strong plan B when in a situation like the Liverpool game ... I have really have hope in him and this is part of the learning curve in the PL.

Not sure if it is just me ... But I feel we were complacent at time, just not players but should go out to our coaching staff as well ... We kept slowing the tempo just like we did under Jose ... Conte has lot to do but wouldnt blame him for the 2 goals conceded, only thing that can be at fault is subs should have come in earlier. However it is big improvement overall in the way we play ... players have decent level of freedom despite needing to have discipline to their roles. Long way to go but we are on a positive track.

I guess it depends which Luiz turns up ... If it's one which who partnered Matic against City and just shut them out, I would love to have him partner with Kante. I would love to have the partnership it gives us the spark but knowing Luiz he will have those bad days way too many times which is a let down. I see him more of a one change to Matic depending on situation.

No ways he would be a backup ... Some one mentioned he is the kind of player Jose loves ... Imagine Pogba and him in the midfield where Pogba would have the free run with Kante and Rooney covering it ... Would had been insane and more importantly their midfield would be set for the next 3-4 years ... Just glad that Kante didnt go to United ... Hopefully that gives a message to the Special/Happy one that a player would move to his team over just because he called

I really like this guy, fan favorite, a character that you want in the dressing room ... But he is way too inconsistent as a defender, I would never trust my defense with him ... He can just blow you away in a match and be a total jerk in the next. Having said that, as per me if there is a position that he should be played is the DM one where his gaps can be atleast covered by the CBs. Can tackle, strong in air, passing needs some work, likes having the ball as you pointed ... ideal position for him.

Mate, we got give or take 30 hours for the window to close and all the talks are about CBs ... I m just as hopeful as the everyone but honestly we are on the clock and its ticking away!!!

Could only see the first half and it was evident that we're moving in a positive direction ... Link up play, one touch, positional sense, taking shots from outside the box, maintaining tempo with the high line pressing game ... just to name a few. Though there are still work to be done but there are improvement in place. Importantly, Kante was the best decision we took ... One thing, lot of us having been saying that getting Rodriguez would mean that we will have a creative edge in attack but looking at today's game (even the previous) the real question is would he be able to the dirty work that Oscar puts in? Said it before Conte system is a life line for Oscar because he fits into the system and can provide so much... rest in his hand!!!
