I feel the problem with Hazard and Fab in this formation is: - Hazard wouldnt have any space to do his thing which is his USP ... Opposition will just put 2 or 3 players to crowd him out (it can also work for us by having gaps but i feel the defenders in the PL are smart) - Fab in the center with Hazard in the middle as well means it will be too much work for Kante to hold the middle. We need a engine along side Kante who can work up and down. Naigolan would had been a great partner.

I hope he stays to be honest. He can excel more as a player under Conte than Simione ... Conte will make him more disciplined while with Madrid it would be like a known setup and (as per the initial feelers) with Conte mostly going for a 2 strikers strategy, it will only help Costa with more feeds rather than being left all alone up front. If he goes, then I really dont think we will have world class players lined up for us ... specially when we arent in Europe this season. We might have to be content with second graders.

I agree that the stats of a players from his last season cannot be ignored... for me I look him as a potential nothing more than that. My debate in the first place was why do we consider a 21/22 yr kid playing in an inferior league (comparing it with ours or the best in Europe ... I hope I sound political correct now) is a ready player while the ones we have are not. Going back to the Bamford subject, when he was on fire 2 season back and Batshuayi was not heard of ... lot of us wanting him here but since last season he is not be discussed .... Going by that, Bamford had a great season himself while he was at Middlesborg ... So isnt he ready as well !!! All I m saying we try to glorify players who have a decent to good season else where and they become "ready" while our own are treated as "still not ready" ... Batshuayi might go on to become the best but for me he isnt different than Traore in terms of potential and surely not better than Costa (minus the theatrics)

Havent read the article ... But why shouldnt we hold on to him ... one bad season wouldnt/shouldnt make him a bad player ... One thing Conte will like about him is Conte is discipline and if we can make a good B2B signing, Matic will be the key in the middle for Conte's plan .. So yes we should definitely hold on to him
