Just for a min when we hit the goal I thought we might just get into top 7 for sure by the end of the season. And then we did what we have done till now ... Concede ... I have no clue but why doesnt Begovic get a few games in between ... For me Courtois has not upped his game since coming back from Madrid, he was steady first 2 season but this season he is making too many mistakes. At this level, he is expected to save everything that is thrown his way not just make a couple of world class saves and then balance it with basis blunders. I believe Courtois is taken his place for granted now ... we let go Cech because we wanted him (long term plans) and as soon as he returned from injury he has been playing each and every game (guess there was only one start for Begovic). We looked jaded at times, maybe it has been too many games on the trot ... had we even these kind of performance right from start atleast would had been better off than our current position.

Disappointed that we let them go on top ... that was a lame goal, expect Courtois to save those ... MOM - Azpi ... he played really well ..

Thats call the Law of Balance by Chelsea for season 15-16.

It is always fun to watch Arsenal Fan TV after they lose or Draw ... It is a 180 degree turn from what they say when they win ...

Completely agree with what you said expect for the Mata and Cech thing. I feel it was more of Roman keeping his word with Mata and Cech rather than selling them for a prize. It was very clear that Jose didnt want Cech to join Arsenal while Cech wanted to stay in London which Roman honored. Same with Mata, he said we would fight despite Jose publicly stating Oscar was his No. 10 but when it didnt go well for Mata ... he took the first offer than must have fallen in his lap. This only has helped strengthen our rivals.

Why not Bamford?

Hell yeah!!!! Couldnt have asked for more ... I m a happy soul tonight just like the tons of Blues out there ...
-
I dont how ... whether we field a different 11 or get Drogs on loan for this match or replace the ref with a blue supporter, etc, etc ... I dont want to see Arsenal win. By hook or by Crook, just dont want to lose this one.
-
Well honestly the team is of 11 players and when there is a momentum going for you, the players will come in and go but it is important to keep going ... Yes we might not have the same outcome like what we have while Costa was in but Remy comes out fresh ... Thats what is baffling!!! Mentality is still fragile ... Players got what they wanted, Jose is out already. What do want now ... Lollipops and Candy in their hand!!! ... This is the same team we praised for they way they went about in the last season and right now cant even recognize them.

Great game of Football ... Good comeback, down again, last min drama, all that passion and emotions ... all great. But I m dont get one thing why dont we go for the kill when there is an opportunity presented to us. We were 2 down and we had that phase of the game where we had everything behind us ... the pressing on them was enormous, they started failing back, we had great tempo to our game and we hit 2 goals back to back. Once that happened rather than going for the kill ... we kind of slowed the game down (I know Costa went out and stuff) only for them to come back in again. This is aspect of our game play I dont get at all ... we are content with like a draw it seems rather than going for the kill. Wasnt the first time, has happened a lot to us. We need to dictate the game when we are in the driver's seat and do the kill. How we cannot do it with the quality we have in the side is baffling. To top that, we won the league only last season with the same team ... Unbelievable!!! Having said this, not trying to degrade anything that happened yesterday but we need to go for it now when we really dont have anything to lose.

Well the Russian have actually have no choice left (Arent many quality Managers left there to come in) but to continue with Hiddink even if he loses the match. I m sure the ask from the Russians would be to create a miracle by getting as close to the CL qualifying places or CL title rather than winning the FA. Personal glory I agree, Rafa did the same but I thought Hiddink would be better than the likes of Rafa ... As far winning or losing goes, playing with the first 11 doesnt guarantee a win if we dont play well same goes if U field a B team ... we have already seen it this season.
-
Let me re-phase ... The youth are being waste of talent .. we are actually wasting it ... Top athletes who are f***ing moody ... All it takes is one small niggle and Luck is not quite on our side, in case u have not noticed it ... And yes even I need a win but come on atleast one young gun in the team (not asking for changing all 11) wouldnt break the momentum for sure ... Like i said no disrespect to the other team but we are really way above in terms of quality and can still lose if we play shits ... It is difficult to keep the head cool at times ... makes the blood boil!!!
-
This is seriously bad management ... Playing first 11 against a team 2 division below (not being disrespectful to them) to build momentum thats BS honestly ... We have 3 games back-to-back in the span of 7 days ... Are we seriously tiring out our first team? If we cant play some of the youth players (not even one) then seriously why waste money on youth and raising our expectation or anyone else for that matter ...

Guardiola saga (where's he upto) is going to be similar to the Hazard saga ... only difference would be that he will end up at City ...
-
It is time that Chelsea starts using him in a Coach-Player role starting next season... despite the fact that he still the mainstay in the back 4 but we need to start looking beyond him starting from next ... He is the one with heart, passion and leadership quality (as you mentioned) ... I feel he would be a better manager than Drogba.
-
I m not disagreeing with you ... make complete sense in the way we handle our youth and the current situation. But then even RLC is not match fit either ... And with the match fit logic or He is not ready logic, we would be behind when it comes to trying something new or rather are already behind... As far as an outcry goes, guess we already had quite a few this season and another one is not going to make us more sad than what we already are. However my opinion was based on the fact that we play at the Bridge against a team 2 division below (I guess) and we are already short on strikers (Remy is mostly not there when needed and Falcao .... ) ... always a nice idea to try a hungry player who actually forced himself out due to less opportunity. Also I know that we will play pretty much the same team with Ramiers/Matic/Cahill coming in ...
-
Why not give Bamford a run instead of Costa/Remy specially when Remy might leave ... Better to try him now when the mood is also a little upbeat, can hope for some positive outcome ...
-
You know what ... Quite possible ... Look what happened to Willian when Cuadrado was signed ... a different animal all together!! Isco would be a dream signing ... for sure.
-
Great 3 points ... (Honestly, wasnt expecting this) The positive thing for me other than the 3 points is how physical we were in the game, didnt matter who ... big guy or the small one ... we hit them and HIT THEM HARD not only on the score board but also on the field. We didnt let them bully us which is like the first I feel I have seen this season. Not sure what would be the outcome from the coming games but there are few things we can do no matter what the outcome and playing the way we did today (keeping it simple) will take us a long way ahead ... On a side note, had we turned up like this from the start ... United fans wouldnt have chatted "Jose Mourinho!!!" in the last couple of games ...
-
We played without a striker against United ... And we have "a" striker available to us!!! He isn't in the plan of the gaffer ... seriously WTF!!! Atleast now give him a chance, goddamn it!!! Someone mentioned it above that we have become the team to breed young players ... so plz keep to the tradition!!!
-
Why do we need to go back to the same person who kind of humiliated us in public (it was needed but thats a different story) ... Is he the only manager left? I hope we dont start the old one sided love story again with him.
-
Seriously!!! Gone are the days when players use to take Roman yacht for a joy ride ... Journalists/Media outlets would write anything to sell their stuff ... Plain stupid! And if the players are so worried about they need to pull their socks up first and show quality in their performance rather than been worried about the manager's ... They are equally to be blamed for the current situation.
-
Not that I'm debating on what you mentioned (which is very correct) but just trying to see the other side as well. Just a Food of thought!!! We had been bad in the past when it came down to stability with Managers ... We been pretty trigger happy and I guess that is one of the reasons why we lost out on Pep who basically had a red carpet laid for him. "I" believe that the board and the owner has evolved over period of time and really want to take Chelsea on the top. This means we need a team which is winning every season and need stability on the manager level so that we dont get our face blacken when we approach the next top manager. The board might have thought that we wouldnt end up top 4 or 5 or even top 7 anyways so lets stick with the manager and show that we do believe in stability, score some brownie points with the Manager's community and then in the summer do a re-shuffle. Thats my bit of Conspiracy theory.

Alrighty ... then I believe I m truly getting old ... Memory fading!!!

Fair point but what we're forgetting that Lukaku already had a stint with West Brom where he had a decent season then Everton where again he had a decent one ... Now that warranties atleast a chance for him, some faith from the Manager, a decent run ... which wasnt there. Martial was a newbie to the PL and there was faith shown on him, he did click in the initial part after which LVG started playing him off position to accommodate Rooney in front. You say "If" Lukaku hadn't started scoring ... So what "if" he had, United would be leading the race... The important thing is that I was pointing out is that you need to give an opportunity and put the trust & faith in the player with potential. LVG got in Martial and got rid of RVP whereas we got in E'to and didnt want to place our hopes in Lukaku. Everyone is not going to turn up a Messi or Ronaldo but atleast we can invest in a potential and take the risk.
