I dont think he will fail ... in fact he will go on to win the title in his first year ... He knows the league too well when compared with Guardiolas and Contes ... Plus his ego to do better than Guardiola on his home turf is the biggest motivation, imagine he losing it to Pep in the first year ... Not happening!!! For me Kloop and Liverpool will his biggest threat this season based on how they do in the summer window. Spurs is the dark horse again based on the players they get. I agree that Conte job has become harder but I somehow have belief in him that he will come through ... ONLY if our board shows some patience rather than get into the Jose-Pep show.

Enjoyed a Chelsea after long time ... the moment Rose made that tackle on Willian & the way he responded back, I told to myself we are no ways losing this game. Very Gritty performance in the second half and what a way to end Spurs title hopes ... Second half was pure entertainment!!!

It all comes down to the vision that your manager has ... If he is someone who see youth as an integral part who can be developed, nursed and integrated into the first team then honestly we will not have to spend huge money on players for at a few years (I feel that even our board is more catered towards getting the youth into the 11) We have the some gems in the academy (Musonda, Boga, Abraham, etc), some other who can be brilliant squad players (Ake, RLC, Baker, Swift, Christsen, etc) plus add to the fact that we got some good experience players in the squad already so we dont have only youth players in the team. If we have a manager like Jose or who is not really into the entire process of investing time in the youth then even if you have 11 Messis and Ronaldos in your U-19s/U-21s they will never make it to the other side ... On a personal level, I do think we have a very strong foundation in the kids ... All comes down how well is their transition from being the talent, the potential into the play makers and winners for the club.

(I know we all have different opinions on the reasons why they left but they are doing decently well) ... However with all this quote that Jose says about how he wanted a player to stay remains me of Wenger who keeps saying how they scouted pretty much ALL the world class players in football and yet didnt sign any ...

From the looks of it, it seems Conte has already told who are staying and who are not ... It was that kind of performance ..

There is something called "Inserting Confidence" into the young guns ... De Bruyne could have easily ended up at Dortmand in the summer but stayed because Jose promised him a fair trail ... And as far as I re-collect he did stay put at Chelsea for half a season awaiting for an opportunity ... When nothing comes your way, what are u going do ... just sit there and waste your talent. He was never getting a start under Jose for sure. Lukaku for me is the smart one ... He believed in Jose for 2 months but as soon as E'to came in, he took off. Should these guys stayed back and fought for a chance, probably yes but we arent living in the olden days where the impact of agents and money was not so high as it is now. If you have the talent... your agent can always sell you as the next best thing and you will always have a club ready to pick up (for the players between 19 yrs- 22yrs) ... In their cases, they did make a mark while on loan ... At the end of the day, It's our mistake that we dont want to breed players and transform them into world class players ... Stating that a player didnt want to fight for his place when the manager is showing no confidence is actually the easiest thing to say for us.

Real good choice by the board ... After a long time we will have a manager who is not coming in as mere replacement for a short term, not in for damage control, not in to fill gaps but a selection which is given a real thought. What he's gonna get in terms for budget for transfers can be speculated until the transfer window is not over. It a very good choice ... hoping that he is able to get back the glory days back .... So many wrong emotions going through once the match was over ... guess "Disappointing" would sums it all after a night sleep We are wrong at so many levels ... There are mistake done at every juncture and for me Courtoius has been off the radar for long atleast this season. He needs to really up his game to be a top player.

Bang on! Courtois is taking his place for granted and more important he is on a decline ... I rated Courtois over De Gea after his Madrid loan but in the last 2 years De Gea has just improved to move up among the best (Top 3 ease) while Courtois is been there where he has been... It is surprising why does Hiddink not play Begovic in few games here and there ... Begovic wasnt bad when given a chance surely made less errors than Courtois ...
