Wow, the amount of hate the guy is getting here is unreal... He's been good lately, especially against City and Bournemouth, now if you compare him to Kanté's reactivity or Fabregas's skill/vision you will easily see his flaws, but he has his own style too. All of our 3 midfielders are unique ( Chalobah seems to be a bit of a combination of the 3 ), and at various points in the season we've needed all of them, Matic brings qualities to the table that Kanté and Fabregas don't possess, he is tailor-made for a possession-based team and showcased it on Saturday again, no wonder he's been at his best in moments where we had lots of the ball ( second half vs City and his overall 2014/2015 season ). Still think we need to recruit a world class midfielder, but he's getting way too much hate here.

Stones missing that chance doesn't compromise judgement on our defending capabilities, just like Hazard's missed sitters don't alter the whole picture about our offensive efficiency, City is a top team and they're obviously bound to create clear-cut chances at some point, still, they couldn't convert enough this season and this is something that can be worked on, so it's not all down to luck. Doesn't mean I don't think we need to improve our defending on set pieces, this has been going for a while now, I just believe that one or two actions doesn't change the whole judgment, be it for us or against us.

Having watched him at Juve and Real this guy is very underrated here. A couple of weeks ago all Real Madrid fans were screaming everywhere for Benzema to be benched for Morata. I'm convinced he'd be a huge success in the PL, at 50-60M£ given the current market I really think it's a fair price.

I think he is growing into the Chelsea tradition and identity slowly, you can feel he is more relaxed and happy in the english culture from his interviews, as you said he is also not someone who'd throw a huge mess to go, certainly not this season as we have the Champions League to compete for next year. I think at some point during the next couple of years he might realize just how close he is to Lampard/Drogba status here and really go all the way, trying to win the CL for this club and becoming a legendary figure, rather than going to a huge club like Real Madrid, guaranteed to win everything at some point in his career but not being considered as big a legend as he would be here. There is also the Neymar shadow that would be eclipsing him in Spain. But then again, this might all be bullshit and he might hand in a transfer request by July

We really need a good left-footed defender there, Aké needs to step up asap and get his spot ready for next season. His performance yesterday left me short for words, he will just never have a comfortable 90 minutes on the ball, always looking out of balance and struggling, thus making our build-up so slow and perillous. His defending on Rashford was comical at times, as soon as Luiz had missed his header we all knew Rashford had the better of Cahill, it was just a matter of when he will get his shot away. He has stepped up to be fair to him, especially after that debacle at Arsenal where he was atrocious, and has been a fairly decent captain over the course of the season, but we definitely need better replacement, either Zouma, Aké, Alonso somewhere or a good DB to come next season.

He's not going there, his agent is probably activating rumors to get a big fat pay check in the summer and rightly so, when you see how much he earns compared to other managers in the Premier League. Does he even earn more than our best paid players ?

There are more teams playing a back 3 than the opposite in today's fixtures

Spurs have been for a while now, and they're still 7 points away. On their whole 6 consecutive wins, they only gained 3 points on us, so if our run ended at some point theirs will just as much, maybe this weekend against City if we're a bit lucky. Maintain the 7-6 points over the top after Liverpool and Arsenal and we're good to attack the final 14 games of the season with huge confidence.

Maybe it's just me, but I like it. I know football is all about tradition and teams keeping their identity. But this is a football club that is not afraid of change, going forward and having a more modern feel about it, it's almost as if they are positioning themselves as trend setters now, I'd be curious to see the ROI this logo change is expected to bring, in terms of global visibility in various emerging football markets like USA and Asia, this logo is just a brilliant way for the Juventus brand to be recognized. Like seriously, do you think the new City logo is doing anything to their global visibility ? I'm not really convinced, their older one had more charisma and big-club feel about it. But anyway, I expect Juve to become a big brand among the likes of United, Barcelona, Real & Bayern in the near future. I also expect them to become the fourth European force in terms of the footballing aspect behing the big three as well. Let's hope we make up ground fast enough after last season's debacle and challenge for that fourth-fifth spot.
