Still just guessing games but I think we will go for a striker, a midfielder or two, potentially a full/wing-back and get Christensen back if we can't manage to get Manolas, Koulibaly or even De Vrij ( although there hasn't neen many rumors about him of late ). Still repeating that Caballero Bakayoko Christensen Sandro and Morata is a pretty decent window, almost doubling up the main spots in the squad, if we do sell Costa then it is probably Michy staying for the backup. Will he ?? What is it exactly that Matic offers and could significantly improve them ?? Aerial capability ? Fellaini and Pogba already possess that and Matic doesn't win enough aerial duels for his size anyways. Composure on the ball ? He can look like Zidane fur a full game at times, at times meaning twice a year at best, they already have Pogba who is elite technically and Herrera is really good in that departement as well. Mobility to an already very static and slow team ? Yeah right, Matic, mobility. Stability to the midfield in a more holding role ? He isn't even a pure defensive midfielder, his best position is in a double pivot protected by a hard working offensive midfielder ( Oscar ) and he can be marvellous at times in retaining possession and using the ball, but once again, it doesn't happen much anymore does it ? The only was I see it is through United failing to secure their main midfield targets this summer and settling for a PL proved double champion for the time being to replace the soon outgoing Carrick, and we all know the difference in quality between both even at this age. Mourinho loves tall static midfielders, seemingly adding "composure & stability" [emoji1] to his team, if those are the boxes José is still trying to tick then I'm not even afraid of them at all going into the season. Let them have him, 40M£ less of their ( albeit unlimited ) summer budget for a player that will hardly improve them, if that also means they won't be getting additional midfielders then it would actually feel like a signing for ourselves. Not sure about that, Lukaku's one and only preferred destination is Chelsea and if Everton can't convince of paying the price they demand there won't be much the player can do about it. Whether players / people should or shouldn't fast is another debate, everyone is entitled to follow their own personal convictions. It doesn't always fall in the off-season, it's a rotating system as it is based on lunar calendar, moving back 12 days every year. Basically, in 2021-2022 top muslim players will be fasting during February-March-April.

West Ham litterally eased a lot of the pressure. Judging by Jose's words after the loss to Arsenal it looks like he will be playing the reserves against Tottenham, so the pressure would have been on either way with 4 points, let alone with a stumble for us against Boro and/or West Brom had Spurs won against West Ham, it would have been a calamity. Not pessimistic here, been thinking since December that the league is ours to lose, just putting additional perspective on the great gift West Ham offered. The fact that we can win the league before they kick a ball again is a blessing, we need to close this thing as soon as possible.

My goodness what a finish that was... The amount of quality in that game is insane, definitely highlights why they are the two best teams in the world...

We've been relying on Wingers/Playmakers for the last few years and if Hazard, Pedro and Willian all stay I suspect we will keep playing with 3 upfront, which suits us better really. But having Morata and Mbappé in the same summer would be some statement, both are good enough to be starters here obviously and I'm sure they could get both more than enough playing time, with the occasional 2 upfront allowing us to play them both.

Can't bear Costa anymore, just get Willian in and go with Hazard in between Rojo and Bailly to give them something to think about. Herrera is litterally doing fuck all aside from sticking to Hazard toe to toe, what a small Europa League club tactic. Need to beat the fucking wankers, we can't lose today.

Is it ? Didn't get to see them tonight, but from what I've watched against us, it was barely a decent ( great actually ) defence with people fighting for their lives and knocking it all the way up to Benteke, one of if not the best ball-holding striker in the league, creating space for the likes of Townsend and especially the good Zaha to run in-behind. It was a nightmare against us, the fact that they didn't score more given how shambolic our defense was on the day is surprising, but then again, we could've thrashed them 5-2 or 6-3 on any other good day...

Funny enough but being a smoker and playing football occasionally, I can assure you smoking at half-time won't alter your performance during the game at all. In the long term however, I think it always impacts your performance and overall fitness levels, your lungs don't function as good as they would without smoking. Every metabolism reacts to smoking differently obviously but I'd guess Nainggolan has an even higher potential physically that he isn't reaching because of cigarettes.
