Bad bad man. Been awesome this year.
-
Yeah, it was Mata, he had a tackle on Dembele too, it was amazing. I noticed it too.

Chelsea forum "inside" joke - CL Final!

Not sure how you don't understand what I meant, I thought it was pretty straightforward. I said his performance was good for ANY striker, not just compared to his past performances. If you don't think so, fair enough that's your opinion. I just simply said I disagreed with it.
-
Don't agree with this. This was a very good performance for any striker, not just relative to Torres' old self. He gets enough shit, deserved too, but don't know why people can't just praise the dude when he does play good. MOTM easily.

6 months? Ive never heard anyone recover that fast from an acl tear. I would think it would take him at least 10-12 months.
-
So sad Feared the worst when it happened, it was almost exactly like what happened to Romeu, very unlucky. Hasn't he had a long term injury once before as well?
-
What's the point of having Baker if you're not even going to give him a chance after two players in the pivot get substituted.
-
Not good tbd. Willian keeps getting crowded out cause Bertrand is trying to link up with him and Torres keeps dropping deep on the left. KDB on the right has just been off, barely able to make 1 pass. Mata is the only one that's doing decent.
-
That's gotta be the worst half KDB has played in his life. Nothing came off for him.
-
Our 3 most creative players starting at the same time. Torres is going to get a hat-trick.
-
yup spot on, that should be the first option imo, but i've expressed my dislike for cole (in terms of his offensive contribution) even Bertrand is much better going forward and he sucks at it too lol i wish we could just play azpi at LB
-
No way can he play in the pivot. He's a little too aggressive with his passing to play in the pivot. It's fine to loose possession looking for that killer pass when you're in the attacking midfield but you have to be able to control possession if you're in the pivot. Maybe he can do that but thats asking him to be something he's not. I'm not even going to bring up the defensive side of the game because he won't be of any help there. Oscar is the only attacker that has the qualities to play deeper and be effective on a consistent basis.
-
His main asset to the team is his dribbling. He can't help if he's being double, triple pressed. He needs someone who plays closer to him to link up with him so they can commit some defenders to them and in turn do 1-2s to release him 1 on 1. Oscar is a beast but often times he drops too deep. Instead have the striker drop to the left and link up with him. Someone needs to be close to him in all instances, either to link up with him or at least receive a pass and then switch play to the other side where we'll have a man free most likely.
-
wasnt that what AVB wanted??? Yes it was and I'm sure he would have stayed on if he didn't completely loose the dressing room. He forced Roman's hand really. His appointment clearly showed what Roman had in mind and showed that he was willing to be patient but it wasn't the results that got him fired.
-
We still lack creativity. Jose might not be 100% confident in Juan or KDB, but imo one of those two must be part of the first XI. They are by far our most creative players. Oscar is amazing but he's not creative enough to unlock teams that sit deep.
-
He was decent against us, but people just keep hyping up British kids. He had some nice moments but majority of the time just ran around like a headless chicken. A couple of nutmegs and he's amazing, while there were like 10 times he lost possession by an errant pass or dribble. Now, I'm not hating on him, he's only 19 and he played great for being only 19 and considering the pressure Everton were under you can understand why he was trying to do it all himself, but he's getting too much hype. Even Martinez went way overboard in his praise. Give him more time, let him develop at Everton. Don't make him a star just yet. That said, I do feel he's Mourinho type of player. Good physical player and direct. And considering our English contingent is on it's last legs we really do need a few more in the squad to make up the numbers. He won't just be for the numbers though, he does have the tools to be a good player.
-
Looks clueless on the ball. He's always been a liability in the build-up but that was shockingly bad. Bertrand should be given a chance.
-
Huh? I'd agree with you if there actually was an argument for the contrary, but if even a single person blames Mikel for the loss then they didn't watch the match or are just stupid.
-
Compared to last season though, I was impressed. The tempo to our game was fantastic. No one was taking more than two touches, quick fast passing. Sure you compare results to others but when you compare this Chelsea to last year's Chelsea and I prefer this playing style. Just couldn't take our countless chances.
-
Didn't deserve to loose. Mikel was awesome! Eto'o was bad in the first half but had a better 2nd. The subs were useless, none of them had any impact. Cole had a nightmare. Hazard was trying to do too much.
-
This is the reason I didn't play EPL fantasy this year. I couldn't take cheering for rivals. Felt icky.

I do get the where you are coming from but hasn't the fuss been over exactly the same matter? I mean some posts say more than 100 other. I'm not much of a poster but still visit the forum daily and wouldn't want to be left aside just because I don't spam The Pub. This idea could only work if this was strictly only a football forum and didn't have any other distractions. You would only be cast aside from nominating members not from winning it. If anything I'm hoping more worthy members will win because the people deciding it would be the ones who are very active in the forum and would be able to assess contributions of the majority of the members and make fair nominations. It's a forum award and not a football award so activity should hold a lot of value.
-
A suggestion from me would be that everyone shouldn't be allowed to decide who the MOTM should be. Each admin can nominate a member. Additionally, the top 10 or 20 posters during the month should also be allowed to nominate members. Tally up the nominations and decide the winner. Do it all through PM as well. Oftentimes I don't vote in the polls is because I'm not active and have no clue as to what has gone on in the entire forum. It's a forum award and should be decided by those who actually are heavily involved in the forum. I'm inclined to vote for just a handful of members cause I happen to come across their posts in the topics I visit but that's unfair to someone else who may be contributing heavily in other areas of the forum.
