Thanks for the nomination. My first one ever I think I nominate hjperdeath.

Good move imo. Regardless of how many goals he scored last year, he still isn't ready to be first choice for Chelsea. Sure he's better than Torres and Ba, but it would halt his development if he's going to get playing time similar to what he's gotten till now. So it's best for both parties to allow him to develop further. And, Everton is a great choice, I'm glad he went there instead of West Brom. We already know he can play in West Brom's playing style but that's nothing like Chelsea and Everton will be a great experience. No need to rush with him, he's still young.

you're the all knowing, you get news stories before they get published, and you don't know today isn't the deadline? what is the world coming to?

I was praying for Napoli in our group, even more so after our group was looking so easy before pot 4 draw. Oh well, not going to complain.
-
I really don't believe that to be honest. Of course he's going to say that, because he's just signed for us.. But every players proclaims how much they follow us and all this. He'd have said the same if United, City or Tottenham had signed him. But this isn't the first time he's proclaimed his love for Chelsea. You'd have a point if this was the first time but he's been a Chelsea fan for a long time. If I recall he was cheering us on Twitter during the champions league final.

Drogba def was a beast. But as a physical specimen Lukaku owns him. Just physically, ability wise Lukaku would be lucky to be even half as good.
-
Well you clearly don't understand. Not sure why you keep bringing up Mikel when I'm specifically just talking about Ramires and the role he's given. Imo this role does not suit his strengths. That's really my only point. He's playing like a holder, and he shouldn't imo.
-
Nobody can stay back aka Mikel he is unique at that for sure and yes Ramires is more advanced he has even had a few shots at goal ,something you rarely see Mikel do . And when Ramires is passed trying to intercept higher up the pitch he has the speed to recover a goal side position ,Mikel does not ,this is why he cant squeeze the play ,once he is beaten he is dead, that is why he hangs so deep ,often holding hands with JT & co ,Ramires does not do this and you may (or may not have noticed?) JT and Cahill playing higher up the pitch and us closing down higher up the pitch trying to win posession, instead of plugging Mikel self made gaps. Again, I'm not comparing Mikel to Ramires. But rather their roles. Every player performs their role using their own abilities, so to discuss who runs more and what they do is pointless. The basic point to note is that Ramires has been the holder while Frank is the one getting forward more. Which is exactly what happens when Mikel is playing. Ramires is doing the Mikel role at the moment, simple. Not the exact same way as him, so don't bring up running around again, but it's the same role.
-
You are confusing his role with that of Mikel who does just stand in the same place almost literally,Ramires and Lampard do interchange and both have the ability to do that ,where as with Mikel as a partner we are predictable and static and easy to pick up as Mikel is static and slow and benched when are we all going to accept that after the Old Trafford selection Ramires and Lampard ARE first choice? Ramires runs more than Mikel sure, but he's clearly been very restricted so far. And no Lamps and Ramires don't take turns, it's been only Lamps that's been getting forward and Ramires staying back ala Mikel.

If our pivot wasn't so dog shit we wouldn't have so many people sucking Oscar dick for things he does that a #10 should never be doing. Mata is so much better as a #10, it's not even close. He's the best in the world imo. I love Oscar I really do, but I hate it when people highlight his qualities to try to put down Mata. If your game plan requires your #10 to drop back beside your CBs then you're doing something wrong. In games where you need your #10 to do a job, by all means play Oscar but we're Chelsea, most of the time we should be the one forcing our game on others and making them adjust to our players and not the other way around.

What? Didier left cause it was the perfect goodbye. We didn't cut him loose. It was a mutually agreed departure. And we never even got to discussing terms with either Falcao or Cavani. You have get your bid accepted before you do that and we never even bid for either.

Just watched the champions league final again. God, still makes me smile ear to ear thinking about that night.
-
I really hope Ramires as the holder is only cause Lamps was his partner. He shouldn't be the holder when paired up with any of th other mids.
-
25.5mil is the official price Really? Source? Everywhere I've read I saw 30m.

I don't get why people are so agitated over a one year contract. In fact I'm surprised Eto'o agreed to it. Surely he would have had better offers, so I'm happy he's coming with good intentions. One of my favourite strikers in his prime. Just a monster! Haven't followed him at all since he moved to Russia but I'm going to hope for the best.

Sorry for the delay. Here you go, http://www.scribd.com/doc/163758010/Chelsea-vs-Hull-City

Not all that bothered with this match. If we win, I'll be very happy but if we loose it's not a big deal. Not really worth anything. Just hope those who haven't got a run out get a chance to start.
-
And you wonder why the media keeps writing this shit, when every idiot throws a hissy-fit upon reading garbage. I mean every reliable source (Mou himself) has said several times he's staying. Furthermore, there is clear reason behind him not starting games, not like he was fully fit and left on the bench.

How has Gotze been doing?
-
Jose pushed him forward once Mikel came on. It's just with Lamps it's seems he becomes the holding mid. With MVG in preseason he wasn't the holder either. It's only when he's paired up with Lamps because Jose knows he'd get more defensively from Rami. Anyone other than Lamps as his partner and he wouldn't be the holding mid. So really the mistake was playing Lamps which was compounded by in turn leaving Rami as the holder.

In games like yesterday when we are playing for a draw and looking to counter. Should start Hazard in the middle. You play him on the wing and they just mark him out of the game. While Oscar has his qualities he doesn't command as much respect out of the opponents defence as a Mata would. Another reason why they were happy to leave Oscar to mark Eden. They wouldn't do that to Mata. And if they did, well we know what he has done to em.
-
Big team but not a big match. I expect players who haven't got a run out to start. Mata, Luiz, Azpi, Bertrand. Cech/Schwarzer Azpi - Cahill - Luiz - Bertrand MVG - Mikel Schurrle - Mata - Hazard Lukaku Something like that.

Juan isn't leaving. No shit!

and how many good chances came from those 7 plays? How he offered something to the match? Please, stats like that only cover a very invisible presentation. He wasn't the only one though, so I hardly blame him, but he's not even shadow of how he started, let alone finished the season. I see no progress from pre-season at all. And I'm NOT saying he's shit, he should warm the bench or anything... I'm just saying right now he's playing the same as Mata played - except Mata had no pre-season between extended vacation and injury. This is the one match he could have solved for us and he did nothing except add a couple of stats that won't marginally give him anything except support of biased fans who might even vote for him as MOTM because no matter how shitty - or invisible like today - he plays, there are always people saying he's the best in the pitch (not saying you think so). And you can't blame Mourinho for how utterly harmless Hazard was in a match he could have killed. He did nothing, he tried a couple of dribbles, but most time he received the ball he did nothing deserving of mentioning... Rather than cry about Hazard not being able to create magic on his own surrounded by 3 people, let's look at the real issue. Our build up was non existent, none of the attackers were presented with opportunities to effect the game. Regardless of who it is, if you're receiving the ball with 3 players on you and the rest of the defence back and in position and no options. You're not going to be able to do much.
