I don't rate Veratti at all. Not even on the same planet as Koke. He gets babysat by Matuidi and Motta like how Matic does for Cesc. Cesc and Veratti in the same midfield will get dominated, way too weak. And he plays in a 3 man midfield while we only play 2 and he's nowhere near dynamic enough to play in a 2 man mid. DLP isn't a good idea in a 2 man midfield, you want dynamism if you're only playing with 2. Koke or Pogba are best options imo. And if we're going to switch to 3 then I rather give some freedom to Cesc instead of Veratti.

The pitch probably played a part in the poor performances. Everyone seemed to take twice as long to do the simple things.
-
Can't wait for this. Our weakness has been dynamic centre midfielders. Like Yaya at City, Coutinho and Sterling at Liverpool. United don't have anyone like that, so they'll have to pump crosses in or try to pass us to death. Both things, we can defend much easier. Should be a great match. I hope we win and Hazard scores a hat trick.

Great goal! Thank you Cesc. http://streamable.com/pj5v And lol at Ivanovic haha http://gfycat.com/WebbedCompleteGroundhog It was a shit performance, but QPR's play style was partly the reason. They played like a league 1 team. Matic and Cesc were both horrible. No one really was that good other than the CBs and Courtois.
-
Was absolutely horrible. He did mention the pitch was absolutely shit, so possibly partly to blame. Matic wasn't good either which didn't help. Buuuuut, he scored!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://streamable.com/pj5v

Everyone knows he can be good. But when you're only performing for a quarter of the season, even if it's on Messi level, you can't be considered a dependable player.
-
Our performances have turned a corner. The results might not be as flattering as some people would like. But starting second half of Southampton match and all of Stoke match we looked pretty much close of early season form. I have absolutely no worries now, players have seemed to got by the tough period and are back on form.

Hazard and Neymar Both beasts! We have Hazard, would we also want Neymar? Yes, of course. In lieu of Hazard? Hell no. Barca have Neymar, would they also want Hazard? Yes, of course. In lieu of Neymar? Hell no. Also whoever posted that Hazard is a better human is again cause you know Hazard better than Neymar. Neymar as a KID has been thrown all the pressure of the greatest footballing country on his shoulders and dude has taken it in his stride and I've always seen him with a smile, someone who loves football. Yeah, he dives and cries but that's part of football unfortunately, doesn't make him a bad human. I think both are the top 2 young attacking talents in world football without question, no one else comes close. It's very close right now between them but I think Hazard is definitely the more complete player but the lack of goals is something you just can't overlook. Neymar is without a shadow of doubt a much much better goalscorer. Can Neymar ever become as complete as Hazard? I doubt it. Can Hazard become as good a goal-scorer? Yes.

Our squad is fine, we just need 1 or 2 more clinical signings like last season and that's it. No need for an overhaul. You'd be surprised how much better everyone else starts looking once the team as a whole starts playing better. 1 world class midfielder and 1 more world class defender or attacker whatever is available will be more than enough. My dream summer would be Koke. Even if it's just him alone, that'd be perfectly fine for me.
-
He was never special, but he was still fine in possession. At LB, even under minimum pressure he just hoofs the ball forward. He's definitely not as comfortable in possession on the left. On the right, he was always able to find a pass and keep possession, even if it was a simple pass.
-
I think KDB is a Mata type of player, but even more of a risk taker but also better athlete. He has limitations just like Mata where in some instances he would look poor while other times he'd look like the best player on the pitch. He just needs to find the best fit for him. Don't think he should come back to Chelsea. From all the top European teams, I reckon City would be the best fit for him as they don't ask much else of their attackers than just attacking. But then again you could argue, this is their downfall in cup competitions.
-
What I want to see now is for this team to start playing good in the big games. I think the title is pretty much done. I want to see us beat Arsenal and United. I want us to bring these bitches back down to earth so they have absolutely no reason to say we won it cause everyone else was shit. I want us to beat em and show em we are BETTER than every fucking team. I know Jose will be saying this, I'm sure he's been saying this all season, I want to see the players show it now. The title is ours, we can just walk over and pick it up or we can step on Arsenal and United and be able to piss in the cup.

Woooow City won't even make 2nd place now, Pellegrini is gone for sure now, no excuses left. Arsenal is a serious title threat next season, I know it's Arsenal, but should we be worried?

The good thing about Willian though is that regardless of where he plays, 95% of the time he won't be a liability. Yeah, sometimes he doesn't do much, but he won't ever have games where you can't even depend on him for the basic things, so he's very low risk player. He'll always give you good ball possession, good defense, and he's an elite ball carrier. There is a lot of pressure on Hazard and his attacking midfielder counterparts don't really help him much in the goals/assists department so obv they will get stick. As long as we replace Oscar with a player who can contribute more to the offense, I'd be perfectly happy with Willian just doing his job like he has been since he joined. We don't need 10 goals and 10 assists from every position. Costa, Hazard and one more dependable guy is more than enough. Oscar has the ability to be that guy but considering his inconsistency, you can't ever depend on him.
-
He better win POTY. Drogba not winning in 09/10 season was a fuckin tragedy, can't let this shit happen again. I'm 100% sure if he doesn't win, Jose is gong to come out and go ape shit on the media.
-
I don't see any of our midfielders being a strictly holding player. I mean most of the time Jose plays Matic and Cesc and both take turns going forward, no one is ever restricted to always stay deep. He's given them both some freedom and has left it up to them to figure out what to do in game. Mikel has hardly played but a couple of times he did play, he was always involved in our pressing too and not told to stay deep. Zouma was the only one who never ventured forward, but that's understandable cause Zouma isn't a midfielder. And Jose has played RLC a bit forward in his cameos but I think that's only because it'll take RLC some time to understand how to play in the pivot because Jose has given the pivot the freedom to some extent to figure out themselves what to do on the fly. And RLC needs gametime to gain that understanding. Once he gets that game time, he'll play in the pivot for sure.

Makes no sense rushing him back. Like we saw, even when the medical department cleared him, he got hurt within 10 minutes so it's risky. Shut him down, perform the surgery and get ready for next season.
-
I made this quickly following Hazard porn yesterday. I'm no photoshop expert, this is just Picasa magic haha.
-
We've dominated them. Performance has been great. Keep the same up and I see no problem with us scoring another one or two.
-
Based on his interview, it's pretty obvious he doesn't want to sign the contract now because Liverpool may not make top 4. If they make top 4, they'll probably be able to convince him to stay. If they don't make top 4, then I'd really want us to for him. He's a proper RW and regardless of what people say, dude can straight out play. He will be a huge hit imo. He's better than all our AM bar Eden imo.
-
If we win the league then not sure how you can't give it to Eden. Kane will be on a team that's 6th. Makes no sense. I'd even put Costa ahead of Kane based on the fact that his team won the league.
-
We play counter attack in most of the big games, and worryingly we've been pretty shit at countering all season. Bale would be awesome here. Dude is a game changer, something we don't really have other than Eden. If not Bale, then someone else has to be brought in. Hazard and two workhorses isn't good enough for next season.
-
Hahaha Yeah, that should have went out of touch and it would have summed up Ramires right there. But somehow he found Ivanovic and turned out to be an amazing pass lol.

PFA Player of the Year 2015 & Performance of the Season?
Bir_CFC replied to Mustafa's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Now if we'd have gotten some of the stonewall penalties that have been ignored, Hazard would have the POTY on lock!! I'll say a couple more goals should seal it for him. Other contenders like Aguero, Sanchez, Fabregas have been way too inconsistent and/or injured. Costa is in with a shout if we can win the golden boot but with his image I find it hard to see him get it. Matic is close too but if it's going to be a Chelsea player it'd have to be Hazard instead. The only other player who has been consistent all year is De Gea but I just don't see a goalkeeper winning it. Harry Kane would have been a close contendor too if Spurs got top 4 but don't see that happening now. He should be a lock for YPOTY though. As for performance of the season, gotta say Cazorla against City comes to mind.
