They have quite interesting story.
While at Sampdoria, Icardi was teammate with another Argentinian Maxi Lopez. They were hanging out with Lopez's family a lot, good friends. Out of nowhere, Icardi declares love for Lopez's wife and she leaves Lopez for Icardi. They marry in 6 months and take Lopez's children with them. To make it even more fucked up, he tattoed names of Lopez's 3 children on his arm. And he made this hoe his agent too. Since then, he hasn't been called up to national team, this year it's his first time, he has been called up for Olympics.

What makes the last couple of pages funny is that he is still our best available CB and the second best defender in the entire team
Yes he is not good enough to be starting for us anymore and OF COURSE we need several signings in defense, but how in the world is HE alone the one setting us back when he is still better than every fit defender at the club bar Azpilicueta?!
The board and management have shockingly failed to sign badly needed top defenders since Luiz left. That can't be pinned on JT.

Twitter really has made a lot of you fucking nervous huh?
Whatever lol. If he extends his contract then whatever, if he signs for us then whatever lol. I'm resigned to seeing Ivanovic - Terry - Cahill - Azpili. I suggest a lot of you guys do as well..

Even just 10mins ish he has already out-performed Matic by a continent miles! What he has showed was calm, nimble, excellent pass instead of Matic's headless chicken clumsy performance. And yes I'm too in the bandwagon of Kante & Chalobah combo.

So in just 3 articles from the past day or so (including the very reliable Guardian and moderately reliable Telegraph) we've been linked with:
Goalkeepers: Rob Green, Guaita, Bettinelli
Defenders: Alderweireld, Clyne, Varane, Coentrao
Midfielders: Koke, Schneiderlin
Forwards: Griezmann, Pedro, Lacazette, Icardi
It looks set to be an interesting summer.

Torres won the corner that kept us in the Final ! also got us to the Europa Final single handily ! and opened the scoring in the final...not to mention the goal against Barca , and the winner against city this year ...etc. But nah he doesn't try.
Get a life , and support the players that are playing for your team!

Breaking news: Chelsea FC agreed terms with Manchester United to sign Wayne Rooney. We have been told Cech, Terry and Ramires are part in an exchange deal for the striker.

lecter reacted to Mceachran in Non-Chelsea Transfer Pub
Call me crazy but I don't think we should buy a new CM. I think we should use our youth. We just one the CL and FA cup. It's a long shot to go for the title. I wish we would've recalled Mceachran and Lukaku instead of buying Ba and _____. We'll never have another legend at this club until we give some youth a real shot. I don't think what we're doing is terrible, but think about all of the solid young talent that is constantly waiting in the wings because we're too scared to just trust and grow our players. I dunno just very frustrating as a supporter to get excited about rising talent when they have only the choices to either shine brilliantly when first brought in (mata) or constantly wait until we have no choice but to play them

lecter reacted to Atholy in 🇧🇪 Eden Hazard
Belgian Football Magazine (sport voetbal magazine) comes up with a report of some extra info about Eden's transfer.
A total of 8(!) clubs came up with serious offerts to try and attract Hazard during the last season. Hazard said no to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Tottenham, Man City and eventually also Man United!
Already in january, when he announced he was going to play in the EPL, Barcelona, Madrid & Inter were out of the race. Hazard prefers the EPL because it's a competition that fits him well with a lot of pace & dedication on the pitch & a great atmosphere on the stands. Eden thinks english football fits him best of all European leagues.
Arsenal was the first EPL team that was erased from his wishlist => not enough maturity in the team + too much uncertainty around Van Persie. Tottenham attracted his interest but then totally collapsed at the end of the season.
Eventually it was clear that it would become a struggle between United and us! United offered better wages (!!) ... but Eden preferred the Blues ( :blue scalf: )because he was promised to become the #10 of a whole new and attacking young team. He believes a lot in the potential and the ambitions of our club!
Eat this Real, Barcelona and the rest of the EPL teams

I'll support Chelsea no matter what, but that kind of spending is disastrous for football. Not just because it makes competition impossible for any team not owned by a billionaire, and it raises transfer costs and wages to ridiculous rates, but because it takes away pride and joy from winning. If we went out and bought Hulk and a CM like Moutinho, our starting XI would cost something like 230+M. So, we beat Arsenal and Spurs? Well, if we spend quadruple what they spend, of course we are going to beat them. It's like challenging someone to a car race and buying a sportscar when they have a 1998 Toyota. It's not a triumph of effort or tactics, it's a triumph of spending much more money. Some teams are always going to spend more than others and that's fine, that's actually good for football, but it has to be within a level that a number of teams can compete and where no team is spending 20 times what other clubs are spending. Two seasons ago, Real Madrid rejuvenated their club by buying Khediera, Ozil, Carvalho, Di Maria, and Canalas. They sold van der Vart. Total expenditure? Just over 50M pounds. You're talking about a 100M summer transfer period for Chelsea and over 270M spent in just over 2 years. That's just insane. I want Chelsea to win but I want us to win in a competitive league.

Never missed a game in any tournament for England since his debut 11 years ago.
Cole will set a new landmark tomorrow when he makes his 21st tournament appearance, eclipsing the record jointly held by David Beckham and Peter Shilton.
He is a legend, despite what some people may think of him.
Oh and Hi by the way.

Everyone had a part to play in our UCL triumph and everyone deserved to go up and lift the trophy, we didn't win the UCL just playing 1 game, we won it because of 13 games.
Kalou got a vital goal at Benfica and was trusted as our LW throught the later stages
Meireles got the killer against Benfica in the 2nd leg
Torres killed off Barcelona and won the corner in the final, plus scored 2 vs Genk as well as a great assist for Kalou's winner in Benfica.
Terry got the 2nd goal against Napoli and defended fantastically in all the games, especially Barca at the bridge.
Mikel was immense since around February, excelled against Barca and Bayern
Lampard scored the 2 crucial penalties and set up Ramires' stunning goal in the Nou Camp.
Ramires scored 'that' goal in the Camp Nou just minutes after getting a yellow card that would rule him out of the final.
Drogba was just immense throughout, so glad it was him with that winning penalty and equaliser. Written in the stars.
Cech as well, back to his best in the UCL, fantastic in the Semi's and final and saved the pens in the final shootout from Olic and Schweinsteiger as well as Robben's pen in Extra Time. Fuck it, i'm changing my MOTM to him in that thread... Sorry Dids.
Bosingwa, was needed in a tough situation at CB at the nou camp after Cahill and Terry had gone off. He put in one hell of a gutsy shift and was also good in the final.
Ivanovic, again immense. He scored the crucial goal against Napoli and played with so much heart in Barca after his booking
Cahill, what a few months for him. Brilliant in the home leg against Barca and to be out for 2 months and come back in the UCL Final to play like that? Unbelievable.
Luiz, same as Cahill, got injured months before the final but battled and battled and made it back for the UCL Final. He got injured again after 10 minutes of the final but just kept going and was exceptional and scored a wonderful pen in the shootout.
Cole, back to his best in every UCL game, an absolute animal in those KO rounds, still the best LB in the world. Also scored the vital pen in the shootout, expertly.
Mata, what a signing. Bit quiet in the later UCL games as we were putting the emphasis on defending the goal rather than attacking theirs but when needed, his corner was delivered perfectly to Drogba's head and the rest they say, is history.
Malouda, Sturridge and Essien didn't feature much and i dunno if i missed anyone out lol.
I know this is in the John Terry thread and maybe should be in the UCL final thread but i'm just pointing out that it's a team game, a team effort and a team success. JT played his part and was rightfully up there to collect the trophy even if he did a mad thing at the Nou Camp. Maybe it benefited us in the long run anyway lol, we got through, didn't we? After all the hurt from '04, i'd've been gutted to never see JT (Cole, Lamps, Cech and Drogs too of course) never lift that trophy. It woulda ate at me forever. Let's just be thankful that no matter the circumstances, we've seen it happen so enjoy it.
