You do know that's a stupid reason Leif, every player has potential, no one turns suddenly good, and it's not like Lukaku is dreadful infact he's very good. Lets say if we never heard of Lukaku not even once, we didn't even buy him, West Brom signed him at the start of the season from some 5th belgian division or something. And if he was playing like he did, admit it most people on this forum would be wanting him and saying he's something special. He's been playing really good for his age, and he will only get better.

Lukaku is nothing like Drogba, completely different strikers actually. Drogba was a real team player upfront, everyone scored goals around him and he was involved in almost every damn goal. He also has a great determination, hence his big game record. There's some players you just can't change, look at Mario Balotelli, if he changed all his attitude and became a good guy, he would be a totally different player and for me he would be worse. His mentallity is getting back at people and proving people wrong, that's how he gets his goals, that's why he stands still when he scores and says a big fuck you to all the haters. Drogba used to sulk at times, sometimes never got involved in the team pre training because he used to be that pissed off, for example Carlo in the 2nd season, it was about december when he was like that, against that copenhagen. Though i think mentallity can determine a player, my point is Lukaku has a completely different one to Drogba, i feel Lukaku is the one who will stay quiet and keep his frustration inside if there is any. But that also seems to keep him in good spirit and hope, like he is at West Brom, he's grateful for his minutes and enjoying his time there, playing with the team and not being too greedy to try and impress Chelsea. He's actually working for Steve Clark in the way he wants him to. But in terms of a player, Lukaku will get you more goals than Drogba, Lukaku seems to be more of a goal scoring striker, his finishing and movement is actually very good despite a lot of missed chances at West Brom, i assure you when he's in his prime he will be scoring for fun from all angles and troubling defences. However i would expect him to be more of a Mario Gomez, not completely failing in big games, but not coming to life in them either. Like i doubt he will be able to raise his game, he seems more of the consistent in his own way type. Completely different striker to Drogs though, but he's a lot better than Drogba in some ways, under Roman we are still yet to have a striking goal machine.

By the way, don't want to bring anything up or make shit worse, but the fact that Brad Jones was in goal which I've just remembered, makes this a zillion times worse. He is the worst keeper in the world and we couldn't score more than one?. God help us against West Brom really.

Learn how to read, i stated in my previous post, that i said that Mikel offers nothing in attack either, as he offers nothing in defence. I never ever stated once that he needs to offer in attack, i even stated it's unimportant. Please have a bit of sense.

Torres = not good enough a must get rid of Sturridge = very special talent, and very underrated by a lot of fans on here. But he's not a CF, Danny needs to realise he isn't a striker, and if he wants to play as a striker he wont ever get to play like that for a top team, his strengths are out wide or behind a striker. It was stupid relying on him for backup striker. We haven't got one forward in our team besides Torres, that says it all. I think we need a hard worker and team playing striker, one who can make use of space as well as more phsyical in the air, as we seem to really lack that. I really hope we go for Edin Dzeko, as he wants to play first team football, he's said this on match of the day interview himself he wants to play. We might be able to use that as an advantage for getting him a lot cheaper, should definitely try for that one anyway.

What the hell do you mean by that exactly?

I wouldn't complain about Uniteds injuries, look at Cities, jesus christ they have the largest squad in the fucking world and they just don't get injuries what so ever. David Silva meant to be out for months, makes a remarkable recovery, Aguero don't even get me started, he was meant to be out for half of the season and is back within less than a month. Micah Richards is injured but it's no biggy as he wont ever get into the team as he doesn't fit the system, City already have 3 right backs as it is.

People underrate Romeu though, It's no doubt he will be much better than Mikel by the time he's Mikels age. We seriously need to look after that one and treat him like a prospect, i think people are just not liking him because of the Barcelona factor.

Haven't seen one decent post from you yet, don't get me wrong i disagree with most people on here against me about Mikel, but at least they put up a decent arguement. Straight away you've gone into me going on about his goals, when all i stated was he even lacks in terms of attacking, so there's not even a good side to him there. So straight away you've made yourself look like a tool. I also can't remember putting Mikel with Tiote?. I would take Mikel out of it as he just isn't good enough at all. Then get a different type of player, Ramires is a good ball winner and has the pace we need, but Tiote could do a better job as could Sandro or Lucas for liverpool (don't know about now due to his injuries). Obviously you need a different player next to that person, i would prefer someone who stays deep with the ball and covers, but also has a very good passing range. But that's very hard to come by now days, most creative players are attackers, like Eriksen and such.

He's always going to be a problem when the other team are on the counter, and that's a huge risk, also his marking, especially in the box is tragic.
-
Why because i don't think Mikel is the best DM in the world like most of you on here?.
-
What the fuck?, listen to yourself, if he didn't think he was the best you would have a go at him for not having enough confidence. He can't win either way with your arguement. He has to move on, but people need to also stop with the Falcao shit. We can't just go demanding players after players. Falcao is world class, but I've seen some idiotic people on here say 'oh well if falcao can get those type of goals in the attletico team, just think how many he would get for us'. I think we need more of a team player if I'm honest, i think Cavani would also be a better buy and we should definitely try and look into Edin Dzeko, we could use his desire for first team football as an advantage to getting him cheap.

And you call us deluded.

It's a shame we have to be part of the worst transfer in history.
-
I go on a forum and argue with 17 year olds, it makes my worthless life feel a bit better.
-
Awww poor Herbert, can't turn your life around now can you?, awww such a shame mate.
-
Someone consistently good.
-
NOOOO!, you can just keep Pandev
-
I missed you sooo much, oh and yeah people are wanting cavani bad man.
-
SOLO, I LOVE YOU MAN
-
Go cry about it then, you people are all twats anyway, so it's pointless me even posting an arguement. Time and time again i have posted so many examples in matches and how bad Mikel is, but no you're just ignorant, typical of you really as you lot are the same.

Sorry but no matter how hard you try, you will not convince me that Ramires has a good technical abillity, it's not his vision what is a problem, he struggles making a decent pass, he will overhit it or just simply misdirect it. He did that a lot last season, which was very annoying. And don't even get me started on his dreadful crosses. However as you said, the player we are asking for here, is extremely hard to come by, indeed it is, there's not many out there what can do the job. Joao Moutinho is often brought up, but come on, he's at Porto, unless you want to risk 600 billion, don't even fucking bother. But to be fair I've never seen the big hype with Moutinho, yeah fair play portugese league he can rip it up. However I've never seen him perform against good sides and in a different team, but to be honest I'll admit the only other time I've seen him play against those teams is international, and he's quite average to be honest. He looks nothing superior off the ball or on it, so i think he's a gamble anyway, but that's because i haven't really seen enough of him besides a few porto games in the porto league and international games. Though honeslty besides him, i don't think there's anyone, who can be considered as realistic target that is.

Well i suppose we should go get him then, no one can have a great performance against united of course.
