  1. OK maybe he can play upfront? I don't want to watch Mikel outnumbered in midfield while Lampard is standing next to Joe Hart.
  2. I want to be confident but think the best we can hope for is a draw. If Lampard starts in a two man midfield then we have lost.
  3. Welcome! What do you make of his all round play? How good is he with his back towards goal? And his passing? Have to give a lot of credit to Clarke for his work with Lukaku. I doubt Lukaku would be having the same level of success with most managers in this league.
  4. We have to win today. Arsenal have nothing else to play for this season and are only 2 points behind. Oh and they have a much easier set of fixtures than both ourselves and Tottenham.
  5. Bayern Munich vs Werder Breman today. Kick off at 2.30 Be interesting to see how he does today against strong opposition.
  6. I was really impressed with Saville in the Barcelona game. He is a tidy player, works very hard and has great energy. He has also got a decent shot on him scoring a few long range goals this season. I know everybody is more interested in the exciting players like Feruz, Boga etc but guys like Saville can become very useful senior squad members. We missed a trick with the likes of Cork so I hope we've learnt a lesson here.
  7. That's because not only is Chalobah a very good footballer he is also is bigger, stronger and faster than McEachran.
  8. Proper gentleman and absolute legend.
  9. His English is very good. He'll be speaking better English than most British people by next season at this rate!
  10. How many chances were created for him tonight that he fluffed? Do people still want to use the excuse that he gets no service? 1 goal in his last 13 games (against Brentford) and 3 Premier League goals since October.
  11. The club is a very different beast now to what it once was. His 'arrogance and swagger' has already led to a falling out with the owner which saw him walk one month into a season leaving the club in disarray. The issues he's having at Madrid now are a direct result of his 'arrogance and swagger'. Some of his own players dislike him, Jorge Valdano (a club legend and general manager) left Madrid because of Mourinho and there has been instances this season where Madrid supporters boo him. He has alienated an awful lot of people at that football club and people, for some reason, want to ignore that and welcome him back with open arms. It's ludicrous. I already gave an example of Mourinho failing tactically against Pep's Barcelona in the 5-0 hammering. He was routinely outfoxed by Pep and has a bad record against him. Funnily enough Pellegrini's Malaga taught Madrid a lesson not too long ago. Dortmund dominated Madrid TWICE this season and were a goalkeepers mistake away from beating them home and away.
  12. I would say he has completely fucked up. The title race was practically over by November and he's currently third in a two horse race. If that isn't fucking up I don't know what is. His ego doesn't suit this club. What does that even mean? We need to move away from all the extra nonsense that surrounds this club. It's time to focus more on what actually happens behind the scenes and getting things right as opposed to bringing in some larger than life character for his ego.
  13. Very impressive performance. Really impressed with Boga, Saville and the two centre-backs. I loved that they kept their composure and kept trying to play out from the back, even with 10 men, instead of just lumping it up the field. That shows real bravery from both the players and the coaching staff. Boga is magic, he beat players for fun and created the first and scored the second. Amazing to think he was by far the youngest player on the pitch. Barcelona, the world's most famous youth team, didn't have anybody in their team even close to Boga's level of technique and skill. The ability of these young players isn't in doubt the club just has to find a way of making sure they keep developing especially between the ages of 17 and 21. Great to see Eddie Newton again and that he is still involved with the club.
  14. Find it amazing that people are still making excuses for him.
  15. Hazard is far from selfish. He doesn't have any issue with setting up teammates. Lampard's selfishness goes without saying, it's just embarrassing at times and has been for years. I have seen Mata ignore better placed teammates and go for glory himself, always surprised when that happens. I haven't seen it with Oscar if I'm honest.
  16. Love it. I really hope we treat this kid with the respect he deserves.
  17. Ribery plays a lot like Hazard. Their games are almost identical.
  18. We need more players to improve the squad. Isco is very good with potential to be even better. I don't see the issue. Buying Isco doesn't mean other areas of the squad won't be improved.
  19. I refuse to believe Hazard is on 185k per week. I mean yeah he will obviously earn a good amount because of his transfer fee but it's still hard to believe he would be given 185k a week at 21. I wish it was like American sports and we knew exactly how much each player earned. There wouldn't be all the speculation and lies that go around in football.
  20. This is where you and I differ quite a lot. And that goes for both players not just Lampard.
  21. He really does. He spends more time in and around the box than the 4 players ahead of him and his partner in midfield is left doing the work of two men. He continually shoots when there are other and better options because he is fixated with scoring goals. He has clearly put his own personal scoring records ahead of anything else THIS season and the stats prove that. His passing stats are down, no assists and he shoots more than anybody else. This is terrible midfield play whichever way you want to look at it.
  22. With all due respect Sovieticus may not be a proficient English language speaker so may have said something inappropriate without realising it. I am sure he wasn't being racist in any way.
  23. Well he plays like a striker so you would hope that he does score goals. Otherwise what's the use of him if he isn't scoring? He clearly isn't doing much else according the stats. I want my midfielders to pass well, tackle and be competitive in the middle of the park. Lampard doesn't do that.
  24. Yeah who cares about his affect on the team? As long as Super Duper Frankie gets his goals nothing else matters.
