Daily Fail running out of things to write about.

Honestly mate, I don't know who is available but I'm just not fully sold on Mourinho. You have to take this season at Madrid into consideration.
-
That was really poor from Madrid tonight. You expect better with the players they have at their disposal. Mourinho and Madrid's season is very, very close to collapsing and being an all out disaster. This is with perhaps the most expensively assembled squad in World football. I just can't believe people are desperate for him to come back.

Errrr...because he'll be playing regularly at West Brom. How can you have missed the most crucial part of my argument? I haven't said anything about Falcao or Cavani so not sure why that's part of your response to my post. We'll just have to agree to disagree anyway because it's getting a bit silly in here with all the Earth-2 nonsense and false dichotomies.

You are again placing a lot of hope on youth development, potential managers who will look to nurture him and so on but how likely is that considering our track record? Not very. He needs to develop his entire game; his weaker foot (albeit a good finish with it last night), finishing, heading, how to hold the ball up, how to use his body/strength and all the other intangibles of being a footballer that only comes with playing regularly. I remember watching him play Fulham in the Carling Cup last season and he looked heavy, clumsy and technically poor. I was worried then but watching how much he has come on in just 7 months is encouraging.
-
Lukaku looks like he has lost a lot of weight. He looks more agile, runs better with/without the ball and looks a lot quicker. One very good thing I've noticed about him playing for West Brom is that he finds good space and then points to exactly where he wants the ball. Last night was just another example of him finding the space then demanding the ball and making up the players mind. I know it's tempting to want him to come back this summer but look at how much he has improved already. He needs at least another year, if not two more, of constant football to develop. We know he won't get that at Chelsea so let's stop kidding ourselves and do what's right by the player.
-
Didn't something similar happen at the club world cup too? Perhaps this is the clubs way of letting McCarthy know he's highly rated down at the Bridge. He's a very tidy young player.
-
Now I'm not saying I want us to lose but I'd understand. The sooner we're out of this tournament the better.
-
Nice controlled finish yesterday, he steered it instead of smacking it. It'll be a great moment when he breaks the record.
-
The team was so devastating on the counter-attack in those days.
-
A much needed win. We aren't going to play many more 'easy' games this season. Thankfully we were spared the horror show that is Lampard and Ramires in a two-man midfield. Luiz was good but still makes errors with his passing although not so much today. Once Mikel is back we will be a lot more solid and be able to keep better possession of the ball. It always surprises me that teams like Wigan can play all sorts of unorthodox formations yet we don't. I'd love to see us try playing with a back 3 and see how that affects our pattern of play and midfield. It's games like this that make me think Martinez, with better players, could create something special. Wigan always look dangerous and play the ball well.

Are we going to finish in the top 4? - Achieved!

If the club is smart they will write off the Europa League. It's an absolutely pointless waste of time and energy. I hope we get knocked out ASAP. With Mikel and Moses hopefully back and settled by the time we face City we could give them a real game. -
We have a massive issue with our squad if you haven't noticed. We play a lot of games in a season and don't have enough players. If we're successful then we're going to play 60-65 games a season. We need good players in the squad so that when there are injuries, loss of form or suspensions there isn't the massive drop in quality from a Hazard to a Marin. Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Moses and Isco (if we do sign him) would be a brilliant group of attacking midfielders. We don't play in Spain where there is no competition and players are fully fit for the whole season. Players get tired in this league, they get injured and did I mention they get tired? Because they do. Oh, and there's no winter break. Look at Mata for various spells this season where he has looked exhausted but has HAD to play because we simply can't do without him. And they're not all number 10's. Football has moved on from the days players played in one position and one position only. Oscar is multifunctional, Mata is and so too is Hazard. Moses can play both sides and even through the middle. I haven't seen enough of Isco but if he's like the rest of this Spanish generation then he can play a variety of positions too. We need good players and a lot of them.
-
Fernandinho! How on earth is he not getting into this team? He is amazing. Not a big fan of Sandro but Romulo impressed at the Olympics.
-
LOL. Do you think any better central-midfielders will develop in time for 2014? Very surprised to see Fabiano and Fred as the strikers too. Damn this Brazil team is just not ready for this World Cup at home.
-
Oh for sure I know this Brazil team is not good enough. I just want them to be competitive especially because they're at home. I always like the home team doing well at international tournaments because it brings more enthusiasm and excitement. And we have some Chelsea boys in the team so I want them to be as good as they can. So for that reason we need a good Neymar!
-
OK fair enough. He is making great money in a beautiful country like Brazil so you can't criticise his choice too much. I know that he also has a child so maybe it's more personal that most people realise. It's just football fans want to see a great talent test himself and become the player his potential deserves. The World Cup is only a year away too and this current version of Neymar will not cut it against the elite teams.
-
From what I can gather Oscar had a very quick rise to prominence. It's only in the last 2 years he has established himself as a top talent and he is already in Europe.
-
I have been consistent in my views regarding Oscar from the day he signed. He is a brilliantly talented young footballer who is developing. My biggest concern about Oscar was his adaptation to smaller pitches and more tactically organised opponents. He is improving and last night, against the same players he plays every week, he put in a top performance. I doubt whether he would have played that well had he still been playing League football in Brazil. The people who criticise Oscar here are those who know very little and change their opinion every week. Neymar needs to move to a top European league to acclimatise himself to football at the highest level. I have seen how massive the pitches are in Brazil and the slow tempo the games are played at. That is doing nothing for his development. I am comparing Oscar and Neymar's development and not their individual talents to each other. Oscar has benefited from playing with better teammates and against better opposition. Neymar still looks like the player who underwhelmed any other time I've seen him play.
-
From the looks of it Oscar is leaving him behind. Neymar has to move soon in order to realise his full potential.
-
This is just another example of the people who run the club making it up as they go along. These people are incapable of planning and/or sticking to what they decide. It's not even up for debate, we are the worst run club in Europe.
-
Brilliant performance last night from Oscar. This kid is special. Neymar was a disappointment. Lucas looked very bright. Brazil are going to struggle if they can't find any midfielders better than Ramires and Paulinho. They may be good athletes but they just aren't good midfielders. I hope Chelsea don't go anywhere near Paulinho. I think he's going to be even better than Fabregas. Let's not forget there's nearly a five year age gap between them.
