The Main Problems for AVB is we don't have the players who suit his style of play. He has come in and tried to get players to play in a way they are not used to., this is our issue also most of the players left (the old guard) are not in there primes anymore they sometimes show glimmers of there former selves (Drogba's Goal last night) but in the long run they are a shadow of there former self. We are now getting payback for fannying around with managers over the past few years if we had stuck to one they would have there own stamp on there team and not just a bunch of players from the Mourniho era. At the moment we are not a team , AVB has two choices go into the jan market and buy players he needs to play his football , or for this season at least play to our strengths. with a couple of months till Jan option 2 seems the most viable now.

You must realise a lot of our new fans came around in thr roman era. So loseing is new to them. So our fall from grace had been rathet abrupt. Ignore them and concentrate on supporting the team.

Its True we most likely could survive a season without CL football , but it would tempt others to leave there are no guarantees our top players would stay , which could leave us in a position where we would struggle to get back in the top 4.

I cant see UEFA backing down on anyone spending big especially us. I am not only talking about the one game against Liverpool im talking about the CB partnership in a whole. I thought Luiz was our best CB on Sunday but that by no means he had the best game , for example he had 4 Liverpool players around him in our half and tried to dribble it out instead of clearing it which lead to him making a foul a player which lead to a dangerous free kick. I just think he needs to make some better decisions

Exactly give him time here or send him on loan he is doing no one and favours getting no minutes. look how much good it did for Danny and Wishire. Loans are there for a reason use them.

You could say the same thing about Ashley Cole and Arsenal. Most players are in it for the money and success nowadays JT is a rare breed but i wonder if he would have stuck around if we had not had the success we have had. Anyway back on topic , i dont think one person is to blame with the defensive mistakes Terry , Luiz and Cole are all at fault at the moment.

As much as it pains me to say it Gallas was one of our best overall defenders , the main problem is we havent had a world class CB paring since Riccy and Gallas left.

We should be looking at Luiz's performances as well there are two centre backs in this formation we shouldn't use JT as a scapegoat just because he is older. As we have said JT has never had pace its up to Luiz to cover that , but he tends to be up the field and we are left with Mikel ....

Its the top 4 issue , with so many teams stronger this year we will struggle to build on this team if we miss out. i would take 4th place over anything this season.

I don't think the majority of fans would ever like to see JT go to Shitty or Lamps to Inter. I Think Lamps will retire with us , though i cant see JT staying around to be a bit part player with a lower wage as much as i would love him to retire with us i just dont think he would accept that sort of role.
