I cant see UEFA backing down on anyone spending big especially us. Being out the CL mainly will hinder us getting any top quality players because all of them want to play in the CL so you are right i would force us to use our youth players. I am not only talking about the one game against Liverpool im talking about the CB partnership in a whole. I thought Luiz was our best CB on Sunday but that by no means he had the best game , for example he had 4 Liverpool players around him in our half and tried to dribble it out instead of clearing it which lead to him making a foul a player which lead to a dangerous free kick. I just think he needs to make some better decisions

Exactly give him time here or send him on loan he is doing no one and favours getting no minutes. look how much good it did for Danny and Wishire. Loans are there for a reason use them.

You could say the same thing about Ashley Cole and Arsenal. Most players are in it for the money and success nowadays JT is a rare breed but i wonder if he would have stuck around if we had not had the success we have had. I don't think the majority of fans would ever like to see JT go to Shitty or Lamps to Inter. I Think Lamps will retire with us , though i cant see JT staying around to be a bit part player with a lower wage as much as i would love him to retire with us i just dont think he would accept that sort of role.

I understand why you are negative by the way we have been playing recently , but when in a slump we really need to get behind the team its easy during the good times , but we have had much worse teams in the past. i think get the defence sorted and we will be ok. AVB needs to pick his first 11 and stick to them we need a consistent back 4 who will grow over the season together.

im all for loyalty but the only reason we should keep them is if they agree to lower terms , but if lamps is 35 at the end of his contract he will be no use to us by then. if we get rid of Drogba Kalou Hilario and Paluo at the end of the season that will make room in the budget for some new players.

Good post Tomo When things are not going our way we tend to press the panic button. there are plenty of games to play , we just need to get a bit of a run together and the confidence will come. Christmas will be the period were we will see what teams can hack the busy schedule.
