Lets not get too carried away I hate playing English Teams in the CL we always seem to go out to them though we will most likely get past the last 16 then play Aresnal its obvious.

Very True , the face Torres has a banner and Drogba does not says it all! His goals will forever be in my memory as one of the greatest Chelsea Strikers of the PL era , that goal against liverpool ( the turn and volly) says everything.

He had his moments just never did it on a consistant basis , i wish him well wherever he ends up. True proffessonal never moaned at being sub every week (that could be due to his wage packet but who knows)

Anybody but AC or Napoli , its going to be tough whoever we play though , we cannot underestimate any team.

Feels like we will be wating ages for this game .. bloody MNF , ill take a draw if we are up fro it like were where tuesday it should be good game , just no Aresnal and Liverpool performaces please.

Great game , just can’t believe the difference , Drogba looked like a changed man , though you could tell he was tierd towards the end. Romeu is a class act really hope we keep hold of him in half a season he has outclassed Mikel in that role. Defence looked much shaper working as a unit. Let’s hope we can carry this on when we play city. Last 16 here we come

Like many posters has said... its because he is at Liverpool and we all know 90% of journo's are bin dippers. AVB gets all this abuse becuase he is young and the media want him to fail , the only manager i think didnt get slack was Carlo , this maybe because he always never put a foot wrong in confrences (well for the media anayway) i think if i had heard the we are in a bad moment one more time i would have screamed.

Yeah , the problem is AVB likes quick pacy ful backs to play his system , ivan is the better player but does not suite AVB's Style so unfortunalty we will be seeing more of the monobrow. unless someone steps up.

Welcome to the Forum Some good points in your post , but its a little to early to say hutch should be playing instead of bossy , i agree with the Drogba statement i feel its time he let someone else take over even though he is a legend we need to look forward now and play the players who will be here for the next few years. young and passion is one thing we need if only we could inject Torres with some bloody passion :thinking:

Very True , its been a while since a final group game has ment so much. not 100% confident Valencia are playing well and Soloado is a handfull.

Obviously there must be somthing missing with Gael , this is now 4 managers who dont want to play him we had high hopes for this guy maybe he wont live up to the expectations , such a shame. though he couldnt be any worse than Malouda right now.
