Winning a friendly game was the job? on penalties? Friendly games goal is to prepare the team, getting game time for the players, so they'll be sharp for the season, nobody - except some weird fans apparently - care about who wins those matches.

I would not mind RLC going on loan so we could sign a CM (when we found out Mikel is here to stay). Its not like rlc is going to play.

It's hilarious how you take those games so seriously.. "The 2nd half ruined everything", "hope we get an equalizer!", "what happend to us".... wtf. Even funnier than the happiness and optimism in HT when we led 1-0. I'm curious if every team has those fans or its just here.

I think in this game we're not pressing on purpose, Barca are sending everyone up the field, giving us the chance to easily counter them... i think thats Jose's way of thinking in those kind of games against those kind of oppositions. It works, but we're defending badly and they had a lot of chances to score, that cant happen in this system. in a real game.

Thats not a bad thing, Beasley proved he's very reliable about Chelsea, although he's a creepy clown. We as fans are very unlucky that the ONLY journalist with real connections at the club is Beasley, imagine if it was a normal person. Di Marzio got a lof of things right about Chelsea in the past few years, he was the first to talk about Eto'o, Salah, Cuadrado, Baba and Telles now, Stones. Obviously he's not working alone, he have different kind of sources and reporters, not all of them are great (for example, they got a lot of false stories about Liverpool).

We talk about a huge signing, a statment signing, i would like that too but i think the only position Mourinho would want such signing is for CAM or RW. I think its pretty clear he dont want a top CM who would push Cesc to be a #10 or make us play 4-3-3, like Vidal could've done, that would change our system and its not what he wants. Pogba (which Jose would've want) is a bit different because he's still a potential, he could grow to be an amazing attacker, Vidal is not an attacker. So for this RW/CAM roles the market is limited, to this point there are no world class players who moved clubs in those positions, Di Maria will be the first one. You have Depay, Turan, D.Costa, Firmino, Sterling... those are the best AMs who made a move. I would start getting upset if Reus or Isco will move somewhere this summer and we missed those chances.

I dont think Pedro will do a Sanchez/Cesc, and i dont think he's that good to say its "extremely high chance". Honestly I doubt he's even going to start every game for United, but its interesting to see how he'll do. You're right about Di Maria last season, but with an in-form Di Maria (and connected to the team unlike last season), United could've had a real superstar who leads the attack, like we have Hazard and City have Aguero. I dont think United have this player with all due respect to Rooney and Depay. They'll have to find that player to have a real chance at the title imo, and this kind of players are very rare. Going for Pedro would probably mean they'll wait for Bale next summer.

I dont get why people talk about formations (4-3-3, 4-2-3-1) as if you pick one and thats it, thats your system, like its FIFA or FM. Oscar and Cesc switched positions in attack quite a lot in the first half of last season, and we still played 4-2-3-1 on paper. And why Willian cant help Ivanovic if we're playing 4-3-3? what is the huge difference?

First half was very frustrating to watch. We just cant play Mikel. Simple as that. I dont know what more Jose needs to see so he could understand we need a CM. Ramires is also not my favorite but at least he brings his dynamicism to the midfield. We have a problem with our defenders, Azpi and Cahill are terrible with the ball, Terry is ok but cant dribble past a tree, Ivanovic is just not smart. Also their mindset is just so negative. I guess Stones could bring something else if he comes but its not enough, Baba looks to have a nice touch but he wont be a starter. So i guess this issue will continue to hurt us in keeping the ball. From the 60 minutes mark it looked better, but there's a lot of work for Jose so we could improve in those games against quality sides. We just cant look like we did in the first half. With the current squad, my hope is that Jose wants to rely on the core of Matic-Cesc-Oscar-Willian-Hazard, and make this side press and move quickly like we did in the first half of last season, that should be our way with this squad, not only when we're clearly the superior side, but also in those big games, unlike last season we should aim to express this style in all/most games. With Ramires also taking part in some games when needed. But hopefully, somehow, also a new CM who can play the ball and keep it well. Possibly a box-to-box CM, not so sure a guy like Witsel will fit. Maybe Aranguiz.

Last season we had 6. Its enough because Ivanovic can play CB and RB while Azpi can play LB and RB. Dont think you need 8 defenders in this case. "unproved in PL"... pfff

What? we obviously signing an LB (Baba), and maybe another CB (Stones). Why would you think we'll go with 5 defenders?
