I agree a box-to-box CM would be better. Though the players you mentioned probably not available at all. i would probably go for Moutinho, but i cant see us getting a player like him, it will be a big blow for Oscar.

The reports of Di Marzio (and others) say an offer of 30-35 million euros will make Witsel available. I dont know if he'll want to come to Chelsea for a squad role, i can only guess he'll take the opportunity to get the hell out of Russia and play for a big club in the Premier League. But i agree its an issue with any CM we might look at because in most games we play with Cesc-Matic and 3 AMs. You didnt named any CM though.

Otamendi a big signing for City imo, the question is how big will it prove to be. He could find his place very quickly and imo even turn into the leader CB in CIty, and maybe not. This signing is a concern, makes me think of City even more seriously. If Mangala will come back to screwing up, they now have Otamendi, not Demichelis. And their central defense was one of their biggest problems. And while i dont rate KDB too much, the intent of City is real and aggressive, they really want to win PL again. Could be a very long title race. In the next 13 days i seriously hope we'll start reading reports about Witsel. Stones should only be a bonus as we have Zouma.

And how do you know if we, or any other club who looks for AMs (most top clubs), didnt made a move for Isco and Reus? obviously clubs were trying to get them and maybe Chelsea as well. Reus agency said Reus is staying while they admitted he had offers. Isco was wanted by Juventus and Real said he's not moving. Griezmann is a different story, he had a 60m Euros (and now its 80m), and he's not really a Winger. And he might want to stay as well. We had other options, but not "World Class" options like Reus and Isco imo.

I was following that Sergi Dominguez for some time, and also some other spanish journalists who know him, and on a couple of occasions they said 'Sergi has sources at Chelsea'. I only remember that he said we have nothing with Arda Turan.

Signing him would be extremely underwhelming imo. You should look further than this season, buying him for 22m pounds would probably mean not buying an AM next summer, while Pedro is 28 and after years of unconvincing displays. A player who seems like he's past it. For me our next buy in AM should be someone who can be a world class attacking player.
