Jack Cork leaves for Southampton
Duppy Conqueror replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Good luck Jack, even tho i know you don`t need it..looking forward to seeing you in the senior England squad in the not too distant future.. it`s gutting, but i guess we all knew it was coming. well done Roman, you are throwing another 10million down the drain and you don`t even realize it... i don`t know if i can keep watching the Youth team play anymore..when you know that all our young buds are gonna get thrown out before they have a chance to flourish. -
Cech - Arsenal have shot themselves down
Duppy Conqueror replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
he increases their profit margins and that`s the bottom line for them. they actually can afford to buy any player they want if they cared about winning enough to pay some for it. -
i`m thinking Mikel is gonna end up with the biggest slice of their cake... quite a mix of famous peoples Birthday`s this week.. John Obi and David`s today..our Queen Betty yesterday and Hitler`s on wednesday.(not that i celebrated that in my bunker or anything..:eyebrows: )

just play for chelsea seemed to be the only tip needed there..

Cech for me too. JT and Bran have been fantastic too and i would personally say they both would be worthy of the award but Cech has won us more points. if he won it he would become the 3rd Chelsea goalie with some form of the name Peter to win CPOY. after Petar Borota in 1981 and Peter "The Cat" Bonetti won the first one in 1967. (the 5th Goalkeeper overall) it`s crazy to think that Kerry Dixon never won the award but Micky Droy and Frank Sinclair did..both somewhat of Cult heroes but you`d be hard pressed to find any chelsea fans who would class them as anywhere near great players.

i haven`t stopped chuckling since i saw it this morning on SSN. reminds me of when Arsenal won the cup and Steve Bound fell off Tony Adams shoulders during the on-field celeratrations..resulting in him breaking his collar bone and the newspaper headlines "Bound falls off donkey" Ramos` response to the incident... "i didn`t drop it..it saw all the Real Madrid fans and it jumped out of my hands "

i think we something like 3 or 4 goals behind them..however their last game is at home to Blackpool where as we travel to Everton..so although we both could win those games, if it comes to goal difference being close on that day..i should imagine Man U would go goal crazy against Blackpool to win the title. is great tho..because some of their fans have already celebrated the title weeks ago...would be the funniest thing in the history of british football if we ended up taking it off them. we have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

indeed...4 days after Schalke knock them out of Europe and after Fergie has his heart attack...Ferdinand totally loses it on the pitch,Rooney takes out his frustration on a senile hooker etc..the away team with the best record at Old Trafford in football history come to town. as Fergie famously said himself..."it`s squeaky bum time" for THEM! we got nothing to lose...we have already been branded losers by media and fans alike all over the world.

you are not the only one thinking it mate...we should keep on saying we have no chance tho..as it seems to be working..:eyebrows:

Fernando Torres: Too good to play for Chelsea?
Duppy Conqueror replied to Henri's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
it`s a shame that you guys weren`t as passionate about what goes on in Europe in 1939. just sayin`... -
i too have been on many and this is the best..i was banned from the first site i went on about 9 years ago (it wasn`t run by chelsea fans even tho it was a chelsea forum) as after being called a Cockney Wanker by a Leeds fan i suggested that he was uneducated in thinking that all Londoners were Cockney and that maybe he should spend less time with his dick up his whippets arse and more time with his head in the history books. i`m more mild mannered now i hope.. TotalChelsea have some sound fans who you can have a good conversation with..but the site itself doesn`t have half the great look that this place does with all the nice features and doesn`t have the numbers we have here..with fans from all over the world..i know that if i have a night where i can`t sleep i can come on here at anytime and find somebody to chat with which i like.. there`s obviously gonna be some topics of discussion that not everyone is gonna like..but i love diversity..and as they say,it`s good to talk..at 35 i feel quite old on here sometimes but it`s good to hear that not every youngster is some Pikey C*nt and that there are infact some very decent young people about.

when folks talk about possible replacements for our managers i often wonder why we don`t seem to ever look at German managers. i know there`s been some great Italian managers over the years but they seem to be outdated in their tactics now.where as German managers seem to have evolved more and are more likely to come up with innovative tactics than Italians. speaking just in general..i`m sure that`s not the case with every single manager in each country. but also German football is played closer to the speed of play that is seen in the Prem than what you see in Italy, more attack minded etc..just like the Prem. this years German candidate would be Jurgen Klopp of Borussia Dortmund. what do you guys think of him? i know he can be a bit of a hot head sometimes but i rate him highly as a coach..he has had Dortmund playing good winning football and leading the German League despite having rivals who have a lot more money to spend on players than him. at 43 he has years left in his career as a manager..i love Guus..think he`s one of the greatest tacticians of all time..but even if we could somehow prize him from Turkey and back into the dugout..he is 64! i`m not campaigning for Klopp as such..Dortmund has always been the German team i root for after i first heard what the Nazi`s done to them in the past but i`m in no way biased..am English Chelsea fan afterall. but i do think he should be one that if Carlo leaves be atleast considered as a candidate by the club. what do you guys think of him and/or do you have any suggestions for candidates outside of the popular names in the media?

Drogba "Everybody knows I was ill"
Duppy Conqueror replied to LDN Blue's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
i`m not sure but i do think that we have many players who will suck it up and play when not 100% healthy..and although as fans we naturally want to see our best players playing..it`s not only risky in that it can make the players health issue worse...it can lead to those players being unfairly judged on their performances.they are doing the club a favour so to speak, but not themselves. take Malouda for example..his first season here,i`ll admit i wasn`t very impressed with him. then the next season he played better and the one after that he became one of our best players and then it came out that he was carrying injuries whilst playing in his first season. Essien- the way he has recovered in the past so quickly after knee surgery has been superhuman...normally it takes about 18 months to 2 years before a player fully recovers back to full strength in the knee..but this season ,how many of us have taken that into account? there`s others but i think i`ve made my point. we don`t want to have players who go on the treatment table for a fractured eye lash..but we shouldn`t have the attitude if he can walk he can play either,if that`s the players or managers choice...i`m sure Carlo wouldn`t force a player to play if he feels he`s not healthy..he would look very bad if it came out that he did. but maybe he did say something like .."Didier we could really do with you out there today..are you healthy?" and Drogba played how weak he was feeling down. -
it`s a tricky one..we do want to give our army of young keepers a chance..but what if Cech goes down for a few months. do you guys really think we could challenge for trophies with any of our other keepers as number 1 for a few months? i think in this situation the fact that the transfer window closes for months may force us to get an experienced back up as security for next year, when i would prefer us to have been able to use a youngster, then make an emergency signing if needed.

just for the record, anyone on here can shag my ex`s...no big deal, take your pick. if you meant to be with someone they don`t become your ex.

The Headhunters have gone up to Scotland for a ruck alongside Rangers against Aberdeen in the past especially in the 80`s..when the Aberdeen Casuals were top dogs in Scotland..around the time we signed Doug Rougvie from Aberdeen, who incidentally was a nutter himself...anyone remember him headbutting John Fashanu? can remember when he arrived he was billed by some as the best left back in Europe.. he was only probably the best at wreckless tackles, headbutting and giving away penalties. some Chelsea fans used to follow Rangers in Europe too when English clubs were banned for what 5 years? (not that the ban really effected us anyway,we`d never qualify under the rules of qualification at the time... i know it isn`t easy to admit it. but we have had some knobheads in our fan base over the years..though i guess it`s all part of growing up and us brits if we aint fighting our own wars we fighting someody elses.

i like the badge though the lion`s erm..stick?? should be red i think.. it`s the shoulders i really can`t get my head around...makes it look like a Peterborough or Gillingham shirt..but if we win our title back with it then i`m sure it will grow on me.. ..

during a thrashing at the hands of Clough`s Forest (7-1 if i recall correctly) Chelsea started to sing the song "Always look on the bright side of life" from the Life of Brian movie by Monty Python. for a while the song became an anthem sung by supporters of teams all over the U.K after we introduced it to the Terraces first. a craze more tasteful than Man City and their inflatable bananas....an inflatable crocodile was my item of choice.tho it was short lived,.it got punctured on about it`s 2nd outing, up at Highfield Road (Coventry City`s old ground) the crocodile was bigger than me..haha...if only we used to take photos the way fans do today...though i guess we were too busy having fun!

Billy Clifford and Aziz Deen Conteh
Duppy Conqueror replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
we have shown that to date for sure.. hopefully that will change from next year on..i fear though that with the way the top italian clubs have for many years loaned out their promising players a stupid amount of times with loads of clubs before getting a decent run with their parent club..maybe if we stay under Carlo that will be what he continues to do. i really hope not though.. -
i`ll compile my list at another time when i`m not so busy... but lets just say the episode of Room 101 when Alan Davies chose out of all the things in the world..the City of Liverpool to go into the dungeon..he got a standing ovation off me. i think i could write a 400 page book on why i hate Liverpool and that`s before i even start on the football club.
