I think work permits should be granted to players who will receive a certain salary. if he was applying for a job in a different field they would take that into account. I thought it was a thing just to stop immigration from people who don`t add something to the country they wish to live in but people earning a good wage,even as fringe players would pay a good amount of tax to that country.

As I understand it George Weah would not have got a work permit under current rules. there gotta be a little sense added to it..top players can be from nations outside of the top 50. especially when the World cup is never played by the top 32 teams in the world and yet playing in the tournament boosts your nations ranking giving it a false reading.

I voted would make a good squad player. I`d be fine with the swap but as mentioned by someone else..would leave us with 0 true leftbacks.so we would need to buy a LB. I`m really not bothered if we get him or give the depth spot to somebody like Kalas,Omeruo instead. infact if it involved a transfer fee instead of a swap I`d prefer we just used one of those. each can play RB too.

he would make a nice upgrade over Ramires. but Rami seems a Jose favourite so probably not in the cards.

I rate him the same as Salah. both show flashes,but not consistent with end product...Salah appears to have better character,Sterling homegrown,Salah`s transfer fee has already been paid and he doesn`t expect the same salary that Sterling does. I think if we loaned some of our better youngsters to clubs the same standard as Scumpool..they would stand out as much if not more.so would prefer to just ease them into the rotation as they would be happy for now with that,where as Sterling probably would have ideas above his station and sulk.Sterling would not start for us over Hazard or Willian.

would have preferred him than seeing Cuadrado coming off the bench. I don`t see us looking for starters on our flanks but Cuadrado comes on when we are losing and it`s like throwing in the towel. maybe he`s more skilled than Kalou but we have yet to see him make an impact like Kalou did every now and then.

and Hilario "won" more trophies with us than Peter Bonetti..

stats indicate that Claudio Pizzaro was the greatest striker import in the history of German league football,a better level of competition than the French league overall..does anyone regret him leaving us?

i`m ok with him coming for a year.i`m o.k with him not coming for a year but i`m mad against us actually committing to buy him next year regardless of how he does now. the Monaco owner made the biggest business mistake of his life pumping millions into a club that plays on a tiny island(even if it`s full of millionaires) in a tiny stadium..we shouldn`t help dig him out of the mess by paying so much for a talented player who may just never be the player he was again.

he handled starting in a European cup final. we should never have loaned him out after that. and I`m glad he`s doing good at Southampton but top teams often let good players leave.he wasn`t gonna beat out Dave and we have held back his career long enough. he earned the chance to start elsewhere and has proven himself good enough for England that he wouldn`t have got if he stayed. we messed him around long enough. he`s a solid player but I wouldn`t say he`s the most talented young player we have had in recent years or that him not making it with us means no young player will. midfielders have a better chance than defenders because Jose and other managers are more likely to rotate them and we have a few with bigger potential than Bertrand had.

he`s good enough for this league,he`s good enough for CFC..he simply has a better player ahead of him. it only became a bad buy because we didn`t have injuries to our starting fullbacks. much like paying insurance on a car is regretted if we don`t have a bump in it. if Dave or Bran had broke their leg, signing him would have been seen as a good buy. much like Zhirkov was when we lost Ashley for a few months during our last Prem winning season.

The old Falcao I would love. it`s a gamble...takes a while to get over the injury he had and if he does it`s normal for it to take this long but some players are never the same again. even a loan deal is a gamble as it blocks others from getting a chance for a season.

I like Oscar, just think we need to manage him better..help build his stamina etc..he`s gone through good and lethargic patches since we signed him. when he`s on form he`s one of the most pleasing to watch players we have had in the modern era..in great teams there`s room for various different types of players and when it`s the turn of one player to hit a lean streak,it`s the turn of another player to do his job.

we haven`t won the league yet. but I think we will when all is said and done and all league champions are the greatest in their league. it`s too much of a marathon not for the champions to be worthy winners. being Champions of England is most important to me..always has been always will..League champions always beat being Cup champions and when we are that it`s been a great year.

when anyone mentions the "dark times" as any time in the last 18 years..that shit is funny. I think I`d say getting relegated and on the cusp of bankruptcy is the dark times I remember..

Back in the comfort zone of a team whose fans never expect to win anything..he should do good..but just like De Bruyne,at some point he's gonna need to grow out of the comfort zone and battle for a place in a squad of great players if he ever wants to be classed as more than a player who once had great potential when he hangs his boots up.

Jose has coached both Khedira and Ramires. Jose knows what his plan for the team is. Two things nobody on here will have done or know..so without that,saying we don't need him etc..is a flawed statement.

I don't rate PVA as a balanced LB..either a LWB or a LW.he's got skills,but he's as good/bad a LB as Bale was. Bertrand has been messed around for years..his patience is way beyond what i could have.

He hasn't reached his peak yet..why get him now for 7m when we can wait till he has fewer years left in his career and pay 25m just before he gets past it? No Swansea players seem rated very highly apart from Bony this year and Michu last but they are a good team who don't use Wimbledon tactics to stay in the Prem and are far from a one man team. Wales are on the rise in football..Rugby will always be King there but they are capable of producing great footballers,have done so many times and are doing so now. Ben Davies is one of the better Lb's in the Prem and continues to rise.

Partly due to their system.but you gotta have talent to be good in any system and show that you can follow a gameplan. Jose has always been big on players who put his gameplan and the overall good of the team ahead of personal gain. I don't think we are targetting as many as reported tho..reporters are just seeing some contact between the clubs and just matching up where they think we need help and whoever on their team plays that position is getting linked to us..

I don't think we need to improve dramatically..but if i did i'd be looking at different areas. The best formation for our squad remains a 4-3-3 and in that we only need somebody else for the other flank opposite Eden..Shurrle,Willian and Salah would be ample with some good young wideman behind the first team.

He's not a striker or a left back so see no need for him. We have players who are good with the potential to be great.we didn't buy so many young attacking midfielders to give up on them so quick.

Should be in our first team squad come august..been saying it awhile tho.would at this point much prefer him over Zouma..Zouma needs a year atleast on loan in the Prem to iron out his penalty area reckless tendencies by a few sendings off and i don't want us to risk dropping points because of them until he does.

If he had a more exotic name and played for another club he would get more acclaim. Alot of people claimed he wasn't good enough for Chelsea when we signed him..not many people will admit when they are wrong. I do agree with Madmax tho...he's not really world class.

I don't class Del piero as a striker ...Inzaghi good but wouldn't say he was one of the best strikers around at the time. Not that my opinion is absolute tho..
