  1. Pepe just signed a contract extension. I do not think they'll be after Alex now.
  2. Lol come on. Even though you're not a fan of Mikel, would you really rather see him replaced by Scott Parker? He's a good player with a lot of character, but take that away and you find he's just a large fish in a small pond at West Ham. If we are to find a DMF then it should not be Parker.
  3. There are 3 things I can not stand.. Racism, nationalism & religious people (who try to force their views on others). Both designed by people in an attempt to separate people. The fact we even call ourselves; black, white or brown shows we see ourselves in that light. Sure we'd like to say we're all human beings and care about each other, however for the most % of society they do identify themselves by race and nationality. It's a sad state of affairs. For example; I spoke to a person once about the Palestine-Israel as intelligent conversation. I said to him "You have to feel for some Palestinian people though, what they go through on a daily basis" to which he replied "Why should I care? They didn't help India when they suffered British oppression". That response horrified me, but from then on I'd learnt a valuable lesson. People only care for their own. They identify their own by race, nationality & religion. Everyone likes to claim they're not racist, but it's amazing how many times you'll hear people be so without realising it. I know so many people who use the N-word in everyday talk, not realising the actual meaning of the word and how it was used upon its creation.
  4. Unfortunately I agree. We can only hope he recovers and has a chance of getting to play elsewhere at a good level of play.
  5. Precisely. It's a great shame, but it's one not uncommon. Can only hope the manager will see this and find a way to give these players a chance in such positions. It is naive thinking, but it's a hope I hold. Not as much with Sturridge as with Kakuta however.
  6. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11670_7032855,00.html Could it be us?
  7. Yeah, though it's very hard to do this and pressure the clubs we loan him to, to use him properly. I actually think Hughes wanted to utilize Kakuta how we wanted, but luck just went against him with pressure on Fulham to stay in the first half of the table and a lot of competition ahead of him. Especially with Demebele returning to form. Brendan Rogers might be willing to take him on and develop him or even West Brom with Roy Hodgson. Whatever the club, they must be in the Premier League.
  8. I hope Essien & her do not give up. It's a horrible injury to have, as you've described and to have the surgery on it more than once must be even more must be very demoralizing. Hopefully they both have to have this surgery on for the last time and they can carry on doing what they love.
  9. Seeing that video makes me damned sure he'll be back. It will be a long wait for us and him alike. But we will see him back in a Chelsea shirt battling to recapture that Bison character.
  10. That's true. I do remember in the game against Blackburn when he made a 10minute stint, he tried to feed into Zamora whenever he could. Problem is for youngsters, in any team, the AM position is so over-competitive that players with the quality to be in the squad (like Kakuta) often have to be played out-of-position because their one is filled. The fact we're chasing 22-year old Pastore proves that point straight off the bat. It's very hard for Kakuta to usurp a player we might pay £44million for.
  11. LOL mistype. Apparently AC Milan are very keen on Hamsik this window.. Would be sad to see him there, hoped we'd try to lure him.
  12. I'll admit, as a kid, they were quite popular with Arsanal and United. However this was in like '98-'00 or so. After that, everyone more or less forgot about them
  13. Hope he comes back strong! Last season was a bad time for him to come back, the whole team having a bad season made his own performances stand out as worse. Had no time to really overcome. Hopefully he'll come back for us when the team's doing quite well.
  14. Can't do anything but feel sorry for him. Can't believe this. Hopefully it's not the end of his career, wish him luck.
  15. Napoli unveil new signing, Gokhan Inler.. In a, lion mask
  16. Training kit I presume? Unless the number will actually be on the chest?
  17. Yeah exactly.. Not the worst we've had, it's just.. Different.
  18. I guess he won't be included in the 25-man squad for the first half of the season then I suppose.
  19. It is estimated by the Football Association that it takes 10,000 hours of training and education from the age of about seven or eight to be good enough to play professional football - accepting a child has the talent to begin with. Of this theory, Allardyce added: England have infamously failed to replicate their only major international glory of lifting the World Cup back in 1966. 20. If Real want him, I say we slap a £15million price tag on his head
  21. Can't believe we sent and kept Delac at Vitesse. Horrible loan spell.. Hope he bounces back!
  22. ChelseaRumours Chelsea Rumours #EssienUpdate: Unfortunately, I'm hearing that the injury is as serious as feared. Statement to be released by #Chelsea later. #CFC
  23. Thank fuck for that. Scott Dann I wouldn't mind, but not Johnson.
