  1. Another great goal from Dockal! Fantastic striker of a ball.
  2. Indeed. We're wasting our time in normal employment.. Might as well try our luck as managers
  3. Totally agree with you mate! Why can't we use Billy as an understudy when we see Dalglish using 18year olds to start as full-backs! It's the most logical decision to have Billy Clifford & Ryan Bertrand as full back under studies now. No need to buy.
  4. We shouldn't put it past Newcastle to bid for Sturridge. They do have that £35million kitty from the Carroll sale.
  5. Wilkins' disappointed Josh wasn't selected
  6. I think England will play 4-3-3.. The frontline would be Welbeck - Sturridge - Rose This will give us a good indication of how he should be played at Chelsea.
  7. LMAO. Delusion at its finest. Some Liverpool fans think Suaréz can be their Zola.. I'm not going to lie, I can see the tiny bit of similarities in their style of play. But Suaréz is far off what Zola was, but he's young so you never know.
  8. Please tell me this club's not serious about intending to sell..
  9. I remember that! I actually think we've got a better chance strangely. This Spain side still looks strong, but I think the one 2 years ago was stronger.. Maybe by senses are just off. I'm laughing at Liverpool fans though, they've hyped Dani Pacheco for years about how he's the next David Villa or something & now he's not even made the cut. There's got to be more emphasis on the u21 set up I think. It's a great chance for the future England squad to show if they're capable or not.
  10. I really though Bertrand's time with us was over after we sent him on loan again this season. The club surprised everyone when we brought him back and offered him the backup role to left-back ahead of Zhirkov, even got to put in a cross for Malouda - emulating the abilities of Cole. It would be a real shame if we now sold him. An English u21 who can be the next Ashley Cole. Yet with the new contract signing with Patrick Van Aanholt, I fear that just may happen. Hope I'm wrong though, because a guy with over 150 league appearances to his name, deserves his chance.
  11. As far as man management goes, he's up there with some of the best. He can inspire players with motivation & drive, and with Clarke doing the technical work behind him, they make a great combination. The fact he's a Liverpool legend helps them even more because he really cares about the club, not the paycheck.
  12. Good. As far as I'm concerned, it keeps him away from the PL
  13. Haha I'd have believed it had I not remembered he signed a new deal with us back in Jan
  14. Good. We should not pay £41million at all!
  15. Okay I didn't know where to stick this so.. Chelsea give £6million to Ancelotti to not work for 12 months
  16. Wage wise the club should enforce it's own wage-cap. The baseline should be £60,000/year. With only up to 2 allowed over.
  17. Now now Sh0n3x.. Don't be that naiive, just because team's don't need him, won't stop them signing him & we haven't signed anyone because we're not buying from here, so we have to wait till 1st July
  18. Definitely. Saw him play England on Saturday and his movement was great! He's only 19, definitely one for the future.
  19. Yeah, Bertrand, Cork & Sturridge are there. With Gibbs pulling out Bertrand will certainly be the first choice left-back & could even be given the captain's armband. How comes, you scouting for Liverpool now?
  20. Thiago Alacantara pissed off England though with his comments It'll make beating those c*nts even better He didn't make the final cut for the u21's unfortunately. He's a regular in the u18's though.
  21. [Name - Played - Points] Group A Switzerland | 3 | 9 Belarus | 3 | 3 Iceland | 3 | 3 Denmark | 3 | 3 Group B Spain | 3 | 7 Czech Republic | 3 | 5 England | 3 | 3 Ukraine | 3 | 1 Semi Final Spain 3-1 Belarus Switzerland 1-0 Czech Republic Final Spain vs Switzerland
  22. But at the same time, that could happen with having a manager too. Remember they'll say anything to secure a transfer like Pastore, so even if we hired Hiddink tomorrow [for example] he'd tell Pastore he'd play him in his natural position, but then may change his mind, based on training sessions and all that.
  23. I think you're overstating the importance of managers in transfers. In today's transfer climate negotiations are 90% between agent & club representatives (which won't include the manager), the only time the player and manager would meet is at the contract signing. Look at the Ramires, Torres & Luiz transfers for us. They were club-to-club. Managers weren't called into negotiations, at best they maybe give their approval/guidance to the people who start negotiations. Players don't rely on managerial support as they used to. Because they've realised that managers now come and go like players do. If the club's good financially & in a strong position when it comes to being competitive they are likely to sign. Just take Pastore's case now. Even Zamparini said, anything he hears from Pastore comes 90% through his agent, they talk more than the manager-player. It's how thing are now.
  24. Because the club in question is Chelsea. No matter what happens, they know whoever comes will be a great manager anyway & that the objectives of the club will remain the same. No matter who comes in the Premier League & Champions League will be the main targets and as past standings have shown, we've never been far of the mark in either. That's why the player won't see a club in crisis, they'll see a club who are aiming to be the best in the world & who have the backing to do so.
