Now we all know Suárez has been found guilty of racially insulting Evra a month or so back. However what I have created this thread for relates to this: http://bcove.me/g0eyq3fw Last night, Liverpool players & Dalglish wore t-shirt bore with Suárez's name and number on the back, in a show of support. What is Suárez guilty of? He used a term which is actually accepted in Uruguay, but still considered offensive because it targets a player's colour. Today Liverpool are being condemned by anti-racism campaigners & former Newcastle defender Olivier Bernard has told SkySports he thinks Liverpool are wrong to show support in this way (http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11669/7391485/Bernard-condemns-Suarez-stance) I, very much, agree with him. He has proven to use the term, and he has been punished for it. The case is now over, of course with an appeal, and I think Liverpool are trying to say "we think this isn't wrong" to use that term.. When it fully well is. My question to everyone is this.. Do you think Liverpool are taking the wrong stance and, if you do, if Chelsea's players did it would you consider their stance wrong too?
