  1. Lavezzi: Out for a month http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5gY9F7WOeBUQN-rPrr_QFi8CwEU_Q?docId=CNG.a4c6d4249b5e96b240c0667e4cf85f27.821
  2. Not sure about him. He's got untapped potential, no doubt. At the same time, he's more defensive than offensive. Though he is capable of the latter (i.e. that goal v. Man Utd). We have several players in this mould, Ramires, Romeu & most importantly.. Josh McEachran. A year ago, I would've probably said yes. Right now, if this were Jordan Henderson, then definitely.
  3. Refuse to buy into it, till I know it's true
  4. Indeed. I'm not trying to say Coyle didn't play his part, but for that guy to give Coyle all the credit it wrong. Sturridge was always earmarked at one to break through when he was here, it was only a certain manager's hesitance that hindered that slightly.
  5. Best counter argument I've seen in the entire forum.. Moron.
  6. Yeah. Let's fire him. Let's bring back Hiddink, and when he has bad results, let's fire him. When Mourinho comes back and Terry's still playing and we're failing, let's fire him. I think you should email your CV to Roman.. It seems you have the credentials to belittle his Porto accomplishments.
  7. That is my point though. It is silly to say "no big money signings" because these can pay off as well.
  8. Come off it. We're the ones who saw his talent and prized him away from, an already developing, Manchester City. We let him grow in our reserve squad, and watched numerous coaches applaud him (from inside Chelsea). His loan deal was successful because he alone grabbed his opportunity at Bolton, Coyle knew he was a good player and had the team to take the risk. André showed faith in him to keep him in the squad, did he not? Especially when Coyle begged him for one more season.
  9. I think he will, from all of André's interviews, he definitely sees him making that position Sturridge's.
  10. Much agreed, that's the point I was emphasising to bluephoenix. We can say though, the Torres signing didn't influence the fees the club was prepared to spend, because we did try £40million bids for Modric & Pastore.
  11. There was a rumour that Clarke wanted out of Liverpool this summer but Ron refused to fork up extra to bring him back. I forgot where the story came from now.
  12. This should be: 3. Not paying extra to bring Steve Clarke back from Liverpool.
  13. We say that.. Then when a signing like Meireles comes through, everyone starts shouting £40million Modric. There's nothing wrong with 'big money signings', if they're well thought out (age + form + weakness + managerial acceptance is considered).
  14. That feature is not available to anyone but Admins & Mods. It was abused by members in the past.
  15. It will be interesting to see what happens when the domination of Barcelona fades..
  16. It's something to envy, how United can go about their transfer dealings so quietly and effectively. While Chelsea on the other hand, can't help but stay in the headlines from beginning till end, no matter who the target
  17. Neymar will be looking to leave in Jan right? Didn't he say he wants to go after the Club World Cup?
  18. Na don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Drogba has to stay or anything like that. I'm simply saying he ahead of Torres for now. Remember last season when Drogba was left on the bench and we were 1-0 down. He came off and we could've won 2-1 if he buried that penalty, but we still managed to get the draw. This is what I mean where he can suddenly become explosive in an instant moment, which Torres cannot at the moment.
  19. I can't promise anything solid for now, as I just came out of employment. But I'll try none the less!
