Damn. Madridistas are not gonna like this. 😂

Matic is more than 10cm taller than ake, but I am pretty sure ake can out jump him. The dude jumps like a salmon.

Hmmm. Cause that's exactly what happened when Barkley and mount played as no. 8s with kante sitting against city and Watford in a brilliant defensive performance and a complete 3-0 performance, right? Or that is what happened with city last season when they got 100 points playing with 2 of either kdb/David silva/Foden/b silva/gundogan as 8. Lol
-
5 of barkley'a goals/assists are in less than 400 mins of cup play. He has only 5 goals+assists in PL. Lampard has already shown or given an indication of what he will like to do. 2 no. 8s. Similar to what city has done. Or even pool with wjinaldum and shaqiri/lallana. If he plays that ways I am fine, if he plays with a double pivot with kante and kova, I am fine. I was not the one ridiculing mount in a passive aggressjve way. I can see the benefits of both systems. As for kai, you can easily swap kai and ziyech's position. But obviously we are buying kai as a CAM. So his positioning has got nothing at all to do with mount, cause even if we play a double pivot, he will still start as a 10 imo. But no everything is on mount, lol. Hahahahahahahaha. Lewis Baker. Mother of God. I can argue logically, but not going to try and argue with such an asenine and stupid opinion. Really sorry for the language, but if you compare Baker's Vitesse campaign to mount being one of our best players in a season where CHELSEA FC got top4, then that's exactly what I called it. Mount was in the team when we beat city btw. When we went toe to toe with Liverpool on 2 separate occasions.

If we are really breaking down eacg poor decision making in the final 3rd please don't stop at Mount. Need to do it for kova too. For eg - liverpool. 4-3 and on a counter. Goes past a couple of pool players right at the edge of the box, and then plays a simple pass behind alonso, giving taa time to get back, and forcing alonso to go back to Rudi. Please let's do that for each and every play. Mount also ends the season with 8 goals and 6 assists. How much does kova have? Damn it, I am seriously stooping to some fans' level. Honestly love kova and voted for him as our player of the season. But if you find mount frustrating then kova should probably make you pull your hair out. Attaching 2 posts showing how highly I rate kova, but the problem is mount is being talked of like he had a poor season. Forget that he is 21, if a new signing had that season, we would be praising him. Fucking hell, jorginho plays a simple pass and everyone is creaming there pants, but this kid is being talked down, like seriously? 14 goals+assists, mainstay of the team, trend setter for our pressing game. Hell proud of the kid.
-
Come on bro. Let's not compare Iniesta and kova. I like kova, but his control of the game, orchestrating the plays is no way near to that level. So I honestly don't think that comparison/argument is valid. Point, is I don't get the idea why mount starting is an issue here. He has been one of our players of the season, at an age of 21 and only going to improve. If that is seen as a negative, then there is something majorly wrong with the fanbase

I actually quoted "lesser" than what he is rumored to be earning at Bayern (250kpw €). In that sense, I don't know, with the options we already have and what we have already paid for ziyech, kai for the same position, seems like an overkill imo. As for RlC, pre-injury, he seemed to have broken through. That friendly really set him back a year. But those performances were not to be forgotten. I feel he can get back to it. Or atleast hope.
-
That's your opinion. I can't disagree with it more.
-
Agree to disagree. I don't think he is worth the outlay. 30m for 3 years + 10m per year in wages. That would be 20m a year outlay + the stop of Mount and Rlc development. Also this 20m per year outlay can literally go on a quality CB/LB. Just cant seem to think this would be a good idea and happy that their are no rumors linking us to it
-
Piazon, kepa, Drinkwater. That's 3 22+ players that would be on loan. Only got 3 more slots to fill
-
Well, he does take after his father a lot. Hope he reaches that status. 21 years old and one of the best players in the club. Take a bow son!!!!
-
Why not? Kova is great at ball carrying but output is so poor. If kante remains fit, then why not have 2 no.8s to push teams further and further back. And that too, 2 goal scoring no.8s. seems like a good situation. Specially since one of that no. 8 is kai and another is one of our top 3 player of the season.
-
True. But he won't be upto speed by sitting on the bench either. Obviously a signing like Thiago will improve any mid of any team (or atleast most), but only in short term. But will he be a game changer in making us contenders to actual winners in the next 2 seasons - I don't thonk so. I feel the club is thinking long term. Most of the transfers and decisions are based on long term thinking and I feel that should continue. Thiago for all his abilities and class, won't help us that massively in becoming title winners, but he would be a signing that would literally spell out the end for RLc and maybe even mount, who both have very high ceilings compared to the players they are today
-
My bad. Read it weirdly Do agree that he needs to be sent back to Spain for a year or 2. See if he gets his form and confidence back. But then the way he has performed this season, feel it's more a "kepa-bility" thing
-
Exactly the type of signing which we should avoid. Mount, kai, rlc, kova. Ziyech plays there too. Stacked in CM/CAM department

I think we have sold well. Ramires, Matic, Mata come to mind. But have to disagree regarding Kante. 1. Conte's 2nd season, I think Kante was still world class. We sold matic, replaced him with Bakayoko and Drinkwater and whats worse was that cesc was supposed to fill that gap. It was a board disaster. Putting it on Kante is not fair imo. 2. Sarri - we changed from a 2 man mid to 3 man mid, with Kante probably playing the most further of the 3. An unheard of position for him and he still was great. There were so many of us who were happy with his "this side of the game developing". 3. This season has been an anomaly, injury-wise. Irrespective, he is still World class. Look at the city game. We had Barkley on the pitch and still snuffed out city. The fact that we still expect a 80+m pound bid is probably telling that he is actually worth it all. Also, really dont buy Kante disrupts our momentum. Its about balance and he brings far more balance as a DM to our squad (in terms of attack and defence). His overall play is still great. I mean fabinho is regarded as the world's best DM, i dont think there is a single trait (ball winning, positional awareness, passing range), in which Kante would be 2nd to him. We have simply not being using him in the role which suits him best.He just needs to be stopped running into the ground. Used intelligently. Atm, we are anyways not going to be able to sell him. If RM did not go for Kai for the same amount, they wont be going for Kante. Also, like I said, selling is useful when you either have a viable option or an upgrade. At this moment, there is not anyone available who can be close to an upgrade and we definitely dont have someone in our squad as a replacement. So selling him would be a massive mistake. Give him another year, let gilmour get more experience, and the next window we can judge. I feel Kante is massively in FL's plans.
-
Probably, but as far as reports are concerned, does not look like Ginter himself wants a move. So that might be the reason.
-
Gladbach have an option for a further year. So basically 2022.

An upgrade on any of our current crop of CBs. A good 2nd/3rd choice LB and 3rd choice DM. Should be looking to get this done.

Will be an upgrade on any of our current CBs, can play as a 2nd/3rd choice LB and 3rd choice DM. Really should be looking at getting him.
-
Exactly. Plus its not that we even have a decent enough solution/replacement that we can simply sell him. In this market, finding a buyer for him will be tough as he will demand a triple digit or very high 2 digit million pound fee. And while I do rate declan rice, he will cost as much as we sell kante and lets be fair, be a downgrade to him.
-
God damn, 6 Losses and 3 draws away from home against top 10. Sarri really did have a pattern.
-
TBF, I dont think its even a popular opinion amongst the fans. Most of us understand the importance of having KANTE in the team. Just need him fit for next season. FIngers crossed.
-
Said literally the same thing some days ago and totally agree with your opinion. Kova should be our POTY with mount a close 2nd.
-
Don't see that as an issue. Ins - Werner - 53m € Ziyech - 40m € Kai - 80m € Chillwell - 70m € Rice - 80m € Onana - 30m€ Total - 350/360m€ Outs- Morata - 57m€ Pasalic - 15m€ Nathan - 3m€ Bakayoko - 25m€ Emerson - 20m€ Jorginho - 40m€ Barkley - 30m€ Zappacosta - 10m€ Moses - 10m€ Rudiger/zouma - 40m€ Miazga, baker, brown, Blackman, kenedy, Drinkwater etc - 30m€ Total - 280m€ So that's still just a 70/80m€ outlay. We have to sell most of our loan army. Only 6 loanees over 22 out of which 1 is piazon until the end of next season. So we don't have much leeway.
