Except for Klopp and wilder which manager has had a better season?
-
Really? And our board just let it happen? If that was the case, Hazard would have left us in 2013, Tibo would have left us before he joined us etc etc. The only reason Sarri's sorry ass was let go was because we saw him for the fraud he is.
-
Real Madrid vs Ajax had the same story and performance too. Basically anytime I see him without Ramos, he looks like a fish out of water. Think he is technically solid (tbf, so is AC), but has a poor mental fortitude. Definitely not world class.
-
How bloody overrated is varane. World class my ass. If we were to buy him and make him spear head our defence, he will look worse than rudi. On the other hand, ramos' quality can't be overstated.
-
Melo is not a regista. He is best at finding that pocket of spaces on the pitch i mean what kind of midfielder would you call silva? Mata? He is definitely more proficient defensively than those 2, but personally speaking I have never seen him play as a regista in barca or not even sure he was ever tried there. If sarri's plan is to actually use arthur there, then will be interesting to say the least. as for sarri, he should be a goner. Our board did a great job seeing sarri for what he is and cutting our losses. If Juve do that, good for them, otherwise, if he wants jorginho, they will have to give him that to atleast play the way he can play
-
No point in keeping sarri but not giving him a regista, because with pjanic gone, they will literally have none. His football might be boring and shit, but atleast with jorginho, his team had control of the ball. Right now can't even say that. He either gets the sack or he gets jorginho, I feel

Good. Should take the field only when totally recovered.

And Alonso deserved that nomination. Go to the "English football thread" and read my last post. "Alonso is a quality LWB but a pathetic LB". It's not his fault if people who decide TOTY don't understand the difference between LWB and LB. He was genuinely good at the role given to him. Hence the nomination. And our attack? We are having a paradigm shift in culture. Tell me how many goals the Liverpool teams conceded under Klopp before vvd? Or pep in his first season despite being able to buy. What embarassment? Stop over exaggerating things. We were always going to buy a new striker this window. So it was imperative to give both Tammy and michy a fair shot to understand if either or both had a future at the club. Plus Tammy was golden in the first half. Once his slump had come, he was dumped and Giroud was played. No one including FL would have doubted giroud's ability. Did not he bloody start the uefa super Cup too? But this year was about building blocks for the future. "Players like Kepa, Rudiger, Kante, Emerson, Jorginho regressed this season..." Another baseless and over exaggerated comment. Jirginho - got dog abuse for more than half of the last season with almost every pundit and fan wondering why was he being played ahead of kante. Emerson - yes. Because he was a worldie under conte and sarri. Baseless Kante - one of our best players when he takes the pitch. Rudiger - this one I accept. But read his own interview. He had a bad year, lamps did not tell him to go fuck up each game. Kepa - lol. He was on a decline since the man City fiasco. Hmmm. So I am sure that things like penalties is not something which is discussed right? Drogba and jt magically end up taking the final pens. (Btw fuck JT too? Lol). These things are pre decided among the players and staff. Even at college level. Such things don't magically happen out of nothing. Blaming it on FL - baseless. "Acting like lunatic". Wtf. So if someone triggers him, what is he supposed to do? Bend over? Not saying FL has been flawless, but the pros mightily outweigh the cons. We have exceeded expectations in every comoetition. We are now buying kai, werner, ziyech as compared to being linked with Zaha, arnautovic and what nots shit. Anyone who is NOT sold on FL yet, should take a deep and hard look at themselves, the PL table, the same thread in last June/July. It's easy to critisize and be the arm chair critic. You can do the same for the best ever players and managers in the world becayse everyone has their flaws. But only thing that matters is if the positives outweigh the negatives. And they do. Given the resources (or rather the lack of), and given what he is buying when given the chance, everything points to him being on the right path. Anyways, not surprised. It's the same people spreading their pointless agenda.

Nominated for manager of the year, but our own fans doubt him 🤭🤭

I feel given the exertions of a modern day FB and the next to impossible scheduling of next season, it's almost imperative to have good depth. Alonso is a good lwb, but a downright pathetic LB. Will we change our formation every 3rd game to a back 3? Given the whole situation, I seriously want to sell both alonso and emerson. Marina's evaluation seems to be on point to just let these players go, cover their "remaining amortized value" and let go off their wages. Let's be honest, Leeds getting michy for 20m is a bargain which they will be stupid to not take. He will score 15 goals as he is a good goal scorer, and that's what clubs at lower end would want, goals for survival. They are not going to care that michy can't hold the ball up with his back to the goal. Moreover, while every club will suffer due to covid, some are much better placed. Sevilla are self sustaining, with match dat revenue around 12% of overall revenue, very similar to ours. Some clubs face far worse, like arsenal, rm who have a massive stadium and match day rev is a massive part of their revenue. I can see teams being frugal but also going for cut prices deals which we can give them a chance for. Lets hope for it though.

What if we are able to sell the dead wood? Alonso - Sevilla Emerson - inter Barkley - WHU Michy - Leeds Bakayoko - ac milan Jorginho - juve Don't think selling any of Rudi, zouma, AC would be a massive issue. Despite buying "big" with werner and ziyech, we have net spent just 20m €. So in case we are able to sell all the above mentioned players plus Zappa, kenedy, baba, brown, baker etc. What would be an ideal window? For me, it would be 2 LBs (reguilon, tagliafco), 1 GK (onana) and Rice.

Its not like the same cant be said abour fans on here.
-
What a pass from kai.
-
On the condition that they buy michy
-
Great run though
-
Any news regarding it?
-
Lol That's the exact reason why he has been loaned and now "offloaded" for a massive sum of 15m€
-
RM just offloaded James Rodriguez and his bloated contract to ATM for 15m euros. 200kpw and the last time he was half decent was in the 2014 world cup. Still think we will have a problem moving on players who are earning 10/20kpw more than what they should be? United are going to buy sancho for 120m plus 340kpw wages, so lets not talk about their losses. Juve are consistently linked with jorginho and milik among others. Simply put, a lot of clubs are going to see this as an opportunistic time. Where they can get a player of better quality for lesser than market value prices from teams who will be willing to offload some players.
-
Shambles of a club. Also heard willian will be getting a 5m signing bonus and Kia (his agent) getting around 2m.
-
Don't know why you think that wages are such a massive issue. For majority of the players, we are not over paying, even if we are, it won't be by more than 1m a year (20kpw). Take michy for example. He is earning 100kpw, while shit players like benteke are earning 120kpw. Michy is at the least as good as benteke, if not way better. Even if you think that michy should be earning 80kpw, for a 5 year contract, that's 5m over paid to the player, which the club can wash off the transfer fee if we are really desperate to wash our hands off him. Even at this moment of time, other than Drinkwater and kepa, there wouldn't be a player that we won't be able to move on. The club is not naive enough to pin it's hopes in the transfer market on moving so and so players if they were not aware and confident of actually be able to sell those players.
-
We will loan him. Can't sell him as we will need atleast 50m£ simply to break even on him for the FY 2020-21 books.
-
Fair. But with Conte, it was not as if the dressing room seemed very jovial and happy. Also, Lukaku would have shone in conte's system (as he is).
-
Even lukaku would have worked better than Torres 2.0
-
There are 2 reasons why a team wants to sell a player: 1. Raise funds for incoming player 2. Get the wages and amortized values of players off the financial books Lets take zappacosta for example, a classic case of option 2 (where we just need him off the books). Out of his 25mil euro fee: 17/18: Amortization: 6.25mil 18/19: Amortization: 6.25mil 19/20: Amortization: 4.2mil (Since he signed a contract extension of 1 year hence the change in amortization value) So basically we have 8.4mil euros of value left of him on our books. If we sell him for 10-15mil this window. 10-15mil euros for zappa, will be a very good buy for most italian sides. And i dont think we would have any problem finding a suitor for most of our players. Only issue will be finding suitors for the likes of Kante who seems to be sell for the money type players.

Rumored price if 20-25m euros.
