Kepa James AC Zouma Azpi RLC Jorginho Mount CHO Tammy Pulisic I would ring some changes. Willian needs some rest. Billy was poor. RLC's sub performance was really good and I would like to see him starting in the mid. Keep the defence as the same. despite the issues against CP, its still the our best possible back 4.
-
Ramsey? Lol. 29 year old on apparently 400kpw. Piss off. Would not mind rabiot though. But does not solve the main issue - the kai fund. So a hard pass. I hope we go for de ligt. Do a direct swap. Offload rudiger for which ever team is willing to put up with his "bambi on ice" routine. And use that money for the fund.
-
And some of his runs from the mid. Had been waiting so long to see him make those runs.
-
So did the brilliant ball. And an awesome cross for Giroud to just head wide. Defensively has been good in this half. Stop over exagerating after each mistake
-
The ball for the 1st goal says hi
-
Nah. It can't go to, jorgi being ome of the first names on the team sheet, to him not playing even when kante and kova injured and Billy performing so poorly.
-
Damn. That's harsh on jorginho
-
Have been hearing about rabiot being sold too. Those 2 for jorginho might do it for Juve. I know it seems difficult, but this is the same manager that was so hell bent of getting "his" players into the team, that we had to get a 31 year old past his prime Higuain instead of an actual decent striker. So my hopes are high. Maybe Juve go deep in CL and that gets them the funds.
-
But is not selling off pjanic more evidence that they would push for a proper regista and someone like jorginho. Arthur is more of an 8 of what I saw of him in barca. A look at the Juve squad shows they don't have a single regista which is pivotal to sarriball. Bentancur, Ramsey, rabiot, matuidi, Khedira are hardly known for their passing. Except for arthur. I feel Juve will offload Khedira and try for jorginho
-
A lot of fair points. But let's be honest. At times with jorginho, we were abysmal defensively. We can go on and on about the "regista" and keeping the ball ticking, but our problems to break down 2 banks of 4 are well documented even in with jorginho in the team. Kante might have gotten turned, once or twice, but jorginho's pace (or lack of) literally makes him suffer the same fate each game. Infact I would go further on and say, he is targetted by opposition teams. This is lamps' first season here, and he is still figuring things out. We know our defensive issues. If he is able to find a better balance by putting in kante and giving the other 2 midfielders more freedom, I am all for it. All said and done, I still hope jorginho starts tonight. Honestly don't think Billy is anywhere near ready. And we can't afford a fuck up.

These stats are telling and pretty much in line with our season. Rudi has been the worst of our CBs and yet somehow it's always AC, zouma or tomori who have been ridiculed or scape goated.
-
This transfer window seems to be opening up more questions than answers regarding the status of our squad next season. I have no idea which of the CBs will stay (on injury record and performances this season, Rudi should be first one out), which LBs would stay (both deserve to get the boot), which of the CAMs, CMs, DMs will stay Shaping up to be one of the most intriguing windows ever. Personally I would get: Ake (sell Rudi) - cover for LB too Rice (sell jorginho) - cover for CB too Havertz (sell Barkley) Tagliafco (sell alonso and emerson) 2020/21 squad: GK: Kepa, Willy LB: Tagliafco, Castillo CB: Ake, Zouma, Tomori, Andreas RB: Azpi, James CM: Kante, Rice, Mount, Havertz, Kovacic, Gilmour FWD: Ziyech, CHO, Puli, Werner, Tammy, Giroud
-
We are 4th, without hazard and luiz from last season. I would rather go with it.
-
Same here. I have to give SFL the benefit of doubt here. Jorginho was a mainstay in the team, now can't buy a minute. Can't be simply a tactical issue. Has to be more than that for sure.
-
Not paratici, but surely sarri can 😂. He was the same guy who wanted us to buy Higuain, remember. The influence of the manager can't be understated. With rabiot and Khedira, both apparently looking to be sold, may be it's more than a possibility
-
We could very well let go off both Emerson and Alonso, and have Castillo and chillwell as our LB options.
-
Swap deal for de ligt with Juve since they just want swap deals. Maybe sarri actually is stupid enough to want him that much.
-
Important must win game. Hope jorginho starts if kante and kova are unfit. Can't have a debacle like Leicester with Gilmour. I know he is mega talented, but the kid must have lost the ball double digits times in just over 60 odd minutes since the restart. Can't risk it at the moment Kepa James Christensen zouma azpi Barkley jorginho mount Willian Giroud Puli
-
I think this is very unfair on kante. He was really good at breaking up the play against villa, city and Watford. Against Leicester, it was completely different as Gilmour kept losing the ball in such dangerous positions that it was hard to recover even for someone like kante. Imo, kante as a sitting DM has given us immense protection which is kind of showing even in terms of goals that we have conceded from open play. Villa - conceded from a set piece City - set piece (no one at fault though, poor class) Lei - lucky not to concede, but well we did not Whu - 2 of them Watford - barely a shot on goal. And we saw the difference when Gilmour came in. I mean if we improve our set piece defending, we would have had 3 CS, 1 kdb masterclas, and disaster class from rudiger. Again, just my opinion, but kante has been really good as a sitting DM.
-
A good player. Don't know why he gets so much stick by Chelsea fan
-
Is not that what squads are. To have players with different strengths that can cover each other's weaknesses.
-
Just because we ditched the regista, does not mean out play has not been progressive.
