Don't think it had anything to do with Reece being "lazy". He was done in tactically by arteta. Niles kept coming in midfield, and Reece had to follow, but knowing that it would make it a 1v1 of azpi vs auba, he was often caught in 2 minds. This was something that arsenal obviously planned. If anything it's on FL, to have changed it up or given clear instructions half way through the 1st half during the drinks break. Also, don't know why this narrative of him being "lazy" is thrown around.

True. Just this morning someone said that 3-4-3 might be our best formation for the next season, and I could not disagree more. 3-4-3 requires 2 complete midfielders who can defend and drive through the opposition, we have none of that ilk. All said, i can still see why we played that, specially with our LB options.

Exactly. Ziyech, timo, kai are automatic starters, along with literally any half decent LB and GK. I mean if we do this bare minimum without even adding a CB, we could still be good. I feel half the reason we play 3-4-3, is because FL has no confidence in any LB that we can play. Azpi can do a job defensively, but it totally nullifies our left as an attacking outlet. Alonso can give us a goal, but disrupts attacks and is shit defensively. If 5 players on the pitch were replaced by the 5 mentioned above, with current 5 being as subs, I feel our squad gets better multifolds.

I think people are being really unfair to FL regarding the players and the system. We had a mis-match set, with which he worked to get some semblance of dexency. Let's be fair: jorginho simply does not work for us. Alonso and LB has been an issue for a decade and he could not have done anything as we had a ban. Leaders - we don't have any. Atleast the players he has brought in have that personalities. This result could have easily gone so differently. And we would have been praising him Not saying he has nothing to learn or is flawless. But some of the posts are just OtT

There is a level of incompetence and then there is just plain and simple corruption. This was unfair. I know our tactics were poor, and on balance of play arsenal probably deserved it a tad bit more. That last clip is damning. What's worse is people actually try to give him the benefit of doubt, saying "what would have been the point of moving". I remember someone saying the same for TaA's FK which had bend but was still very savable. Has no sense of judgement this dude.

I feel 3-4-3 would be our least prefered system. Given our midfield - mount, rlc, kai, we would need to play a system making the best use of 8s and 10s rather than 2 6s.

We have werner who plays the wing, mount too, and apparently close to signing kai who played a lot on the wings.i feel we are stacked in the forward department. 13m + wages (as he would be looking for a big contract) is still a lot of money which can go in reinforcing areas which are on way higher priority than 4th winger. But just my opinion though. Can understand why people want him as it's a bargain. Just one thing though, on CHO, don't think he has regressed. He had a massive injury and this year was always going to be a write off for both him and RLC. But in the recent sub appearances, he has shown a lot of quality. Still just 19. Boga has shown when given a proper oppurtunity, which CHO barely has.

He would need to agree. In sassuolo, he is the no. 1 winger, and has had a breakout season. Here he would be no.4 behind puli, ziyech, CHO. The move would not make sense for him

Again, we have had discussions and have I used such arguments? Or with nicco, even though the 2 of us have had some heated ones too. Difference is that A and C can have a difference of opinion but still try to understand each other's PoV. If C (for some weird reason), thinks they know better, and pass judgement then I feel A is within his rights to point out that their judgment might be massively wrong as better judgers have taken a very different call. It's not something that I normally do or would do, but there is only so much anyone can so to 'i know this will happen'. Anywyas, apologize if I crossed a line here. You can be good for a game and still get dropped for the bigger picture. With no real goalscorer, I can understand going with 2 no8s at the time, which unfortunately meant that kova got the boot. And obviously I do agree he might have had average days, but still more consistent than the rest.

That is taking things out of context. There were 3/4 back and forth a with the same poster. She said "he is from a relegation team" I gave an example of Cahill. Then came the height argument. I gave an example of Puyol, cannavaro (and now to think of it, Carvalho was barely any taller). But despite putting all these arguments, you can still stick to your opinions, but accept them. I said what I said, only after a post in which the poster clearly passed judgement on the player that 'he can't be a PFA player of the year member" and 'wont be a good buy'. No reasons, just judgements. Hence I felt it was totally valid to point out that there are better judges and better scouts out there.

I feel judging a player's season successful or not should have such parameters counted for. But something like a POTY, needs to be absolute, imo. The award needs to go to who has performed the best for the club irrespective of age, vintage etc etc. But again, very subjected and obviously everyone will have a different opinion and no one is to say the other is wrong. Well, knowing his potential, and seeing what he does do on the pitch, I would say those performances were average. Look at the difference between puli before restart and post restart. I feel a difference in class. Mount did have a couple of such games, but don't think kova had any of such games. Definitely none where he was hooked off. None which I would say would be lesser than a 6/10

It will be if the person you are having a "discussion" with refuses to literally acknowledge any point and simply states "if we buy he will be a disaster". No real reasoning as to why? How? What makes him worse than any of our current crop, because defensively I feel he is definitely better. Footballing IQ is awesome, playing out of the back, not even a question. . Hence the final bomb of maybe the people actually making such decisions do know what they are doing.

Cant say OTT. If we look at it in a vaccum (without giving him the concession that a 21 year old, new joinee in a different league deserves), then would say it was average or maybe just above average. I mean if it was a 26 year old zaha for 60m who had put in those performances, we surely would not have been rejoicing, atleast I wont have been. Totally, agree. I myself, would vote for him as a close 3rd and just behind kova and mount, and might even change it based on what happens in FA cup final and maybe even the bayern game. But "outlandish" was for someone voting for him as POTY before the re-start. Again, preferences matter obviously, but dont think it would/could have been justified, imo.
