And to think he toyed with our defense last season it's all you need to know about them.

Top of the table club wants to get reinforcements to become even better, while the club barely in top 5 with a weakened squad and no shirt sponsor thinks everything is fine.
Every time I see Eghbali on the screen I keep thinking of his ridiculous statement of how the old Chelsea were not competitive in either a sporting sense or financial sense. Yet he and his cronies have assembled a team that is struggling to keep the club within UEFA FFP rules, has failed to secure a permanent shirt sponsor, and is struggling to make progress on the results from last season.
The major achievement is the low wage bill and low average of the squad. Great resale value., which is no doubt their number 1 priority.

I’ve been as harsh on Maresca as anyone else here but for me that result wasn’t on him. At least not even close to the majority of it.
We looked outstanding in the first half and continued to look comfortable up until the hour or so mark well into the second half. We were creating good scenario after good scenario in both flanks, we allowed nothing at all from their midfield who have been great lately, and Sanchez had nothing at all to do. Trev and Badiashile swept up any little minuscule opportunities Villa had on the break.
We were toying with them and should’ve been multiple goals up. You could even see multiple Villa players getting super frustrated and annoyed because they couldn’t get a sniff.
And then yet again we gift the other team a goal and collapsed afterwards. This for me is all on the mentality of the players themselves and not the manager. We have a team full of mentally weak babies with only a few exceptions.

Palmer was really poor today

As usual overreaction when rival is making any signings. Last season his teammate Kluivert had more goals and assists in PL. Larsen 3 more goals. Some guy Schade same, you want him also? Look two best goalscorers from last season are having a shit season. Numbers don't mean much especially when you move to other club. It never made sense to go for him. It was the same last winter with Marmoush. Doubt anyone wants him now? Yes, he can be good for City but it's non of our business.

For me discussing Maresca sacking is ridiculous on so many levels. You want board that put goals in front of him that he overachieved to sack him? He got expected CL qualification and Conference League but no one was expecting us to win CWC. He did it. Both Maresca and Boehly are saying we are ahead of schedule. So what would be the reasoning for sacking him? It's like your boss in company you work for tells you your goal is to bring 100k this year in income and you bring 250k and then they sack you because you didn't bring 500k? Doesn't make any sense. Some fans have projections we are still under Roman but this is their problem.

dickhead centerbacks again

And last season we finished just 2 points behind them. Right now we are not that far behind. So isn't logical conclusion that Maresca is better or same level as Pep but only quality of players makes the difference? Although CWC title has more value than these 8 points Pep won over Maresca since Enzo is here.

Was saying this in pre season.

For a season where he has lost his best CB Colwill, best attacker Palmer and lost his best midfielder for 3 games in a crunch time and had a hatful of red cards to contend with, Maresca has done more than alright and anyone who thinks the manager is the issue in all of this are wrong. We also came into the season with a 2 week preparation and no real pre-season. It was also a summer where our global profile was restored after years of mediocrity.
We can upgrade Maresca but I can't fault his commitment to preparing the team every week. Only few occasions he's got things wrong this season imo.
