Can't score in Europe and it's very worrying. Hazard can't score, Willian is not a goal-scorer, Pedro is unreliable. Leaves Chelsea relying on set-pieces. What else is new though?
-
You think? Simply stating they were better. I'm not saying Chelsea was awful but it wasn't good. Maybe my expectations were higher than yours. Still some good moments. Could've scored twice on another day. But then again, they could've scored three or four on another day. They created quite a few chances. You're right about Real but it has to be said that they were in poor form back then. PSG is a very good team.
-
Loving him at the moment.
-
I was surprised he started. He was poor vs Newcastle. Could barely run. He's a better option off the bench against tired legs at the moment. He was a lot better today compared to his game vs Newcastle but it's so sad seeing him like this.
-
Despite his overall brilliance, he's not a clean sheet GK. Not the type to produce games in which he simply refuses to concede. Harsh to criticise him today though. Score would've been embarrassing if it wasn't for him.
-
They're simply better. Comfortably better. It was like watching a ship (Chelsea) in a heavy storm (PSG) for large parts of the game. Some good spells here and there but they were short. Good thing was Chelsea could conjure up some good moments despite struggling. Hoofing the ball. Chelsea's big game trademark. And no team can do last-ditch defending and survive an onslaught like Chelsea. It's quite amazing. Chelsea's not keeping a clean sheet so at least three goals are needed. Not impossible but hard. Costa can't score in Europe. Worried it's going to become a 'thing'. Hazard can barely get out of first gear. Not good. Sad too. Cesc is too limited. Courtois, Azpilicueta, Baba and Willian, well done.
-
2nd and 3rd goal were brilliant. Well done.

Jusr recycling the crap that was posted. So tiring to read that stuff. Based on nothing. He deserves all kind of stick for his poor form. But it's so easy to question commitment and apply fake body language reading. He's been out of form. Annoying but it happens. Just need him to get back. The real Hazard is still in there.
-
He doesn't want to be here. So obvious. Happy with this football but it's MK Dons. Need you to this every week, Eden.
-
The change of opinion on Costa is astounding.

Don't understand the fuss. Just another purchase for the farm.

Think the plan is to keep on gambling and get it right once. But Chelsea might just be the equivalent of an Average Joe buying lottery tickets. This move doesn't make sense. If he's looking to kick start his career again, why join Chelsea? Sub appareances and the odd start here and there is an extremely hard way to make a name for yourself. And what does this mean for Kenedy? He was doing well and was starting develop into quite the impact sub. Now his game time goes to Pato? That would be another great example of Chelsea ruining a good thing. The Pato of old is gone. What set him apart as a youngster was his great athleticism. He's not in that shape anymore. Don't understand this move. He's not necessary. Wish the club would've gambled with a centreback, fullback or centre midfielder. This obsession with (ordinary) attacking players is tiresome.
-
What a missed opportunity if true. But if the boy wants to play, I understand. But still, with Costa as first choice, he'd still get plenty of opportunities with all the injuries and suspensions. In a 50-60 game season, Diego starts 30-40. Shame in the end. I was really hoping he'd join. One of those players the club can attract even without CL football. You'd think anyway.

I'm confused. You're talking about that run to the right flank that was sped up? You posted a video of Gundogan coming on as a sub against tired legs as well btw. He used to be in a more impressive physically. The old Gundo would've been fine. But after the injury/injuries he's slowed down quite a bit. I regularly see him in action and he's mostly jogging around the pitch. Often fails to track back quickly, jogging back instead. He doesn't possess the stamina and speed to move at a high tempo for 90 min (week in, week out) anymore. Have to emphasise that last part, he can turn it up from time to time but it's about what you bring consistently. His positional sense is better than Fabregas' though, which is why he's the superior midfield general/playmaker. For me anyway. He finds the right spaces easier. Better than Cesc physically and more combatitive, yes, but that's not saying much. Weigl isn't much of a physical wonder either and it hurts Dortmund defensively, they get overrun in midfield too easily for a team of that calibre. Chelsea already possess that problem now. Tuchel recently added Castro in midfield, who added legs and pace, and I thought it was a smart move. If not for their dominant football, they would have problems. As a replacement for Cesc, sure. But the both of them? I don't think that would work in the long term. Especially in the PL and Chelsea is not a team that plays dominant football either.
-
I don't believe in a move to Chelsea so I hope he stays at Dortmund rather than leave the club. They're a club I sympathise with. Btw, a midfield with both Cesc and Gundogan would never work imo. Too slow, weak and lacks legs.

Courtois/Begovic*/Amelia Azpilicueta/Ivanovic - Stones*/Zouma - Terry*/Cahill* - Coentrao/Aké* Fabregas*/RLC* - Neves/Mikel - Barkley*/Matic Willian/Pedro - Costa/Embolo/Remy - Hazard/Kenedy * = Homegrown Out - Djilobodji, Ramires, Oscar, Salah, Cuadrado Out on loan - Christensen, Baba, Pasalic, Musonda, Boga, Solanke I was bored. Came up with this. I think that's actually possible. Expensive but possible. I'd make a rough guess at around £165m. Should get back in the top 4 with that team and the first step to becoming a top team again. But I don't think the club has that kind of cash anymore (or not willing to spend it, same thing).
-
Forget entertaining, you need it to break down teams and score. Fullbacks are very important going forward. I'm just happy Hiddink informed Brani crosses leaving the ground aren't against the regulations of football. Ivanovic must've thought his peers were receiving fines for all those aerial crosses.
-
Personally I love his goal vs Tottenham as much as the Barca goal. Incredible piece of skill. The goal just hypes me up. It's in the video I posted above but it's worth a solo upload.
-
An unexpected source of funds I'm sure. Should help the club with whatever transfers in plan. Maybe the Texeira move. One of the few players who actually enjoyed a strong 11/12 campaign overall. Regardless of his individual quality, he should have won POTY that season. Never managed to reach those heights again. To be fair to him, the change of system hurt him but his own limitations would always hurt him anyway. He's produced some big, huge and spectacular moments for Chelsea. He was a problem in 1-on-1 situations. Has scored against a lot of big teams and mostly scored class goals. Very likeable as well. I'll miss him and will remember him.
-
He was brilliant, wasn't he? He's been one of the star men this season along with Mkhi and Aubame. Such an intelligent player. A move to Chelsea doesn't make sense. If Barca don't want him anymore, I can see him joining Juve. Pogba-Marchisio-Gundo is an amazing midfield. But then again, you never know. I'd love it if he stayed at Dortmund.
-
Easy to forget how good he is. This reminded me why I fell so hard for him. Otherworldly awareness. Ability to make decisions in a fraction of a second. And execute his ideas. I seriously need you get back to business, Eden. Guus, the man with the magic touch, please make it happen. And I don't to see him in another kit. Just look at that beautiful blue on him.
-
Yeah, that L is still waiting. It's nice. Guus was right. Now for that winning streak.
-
The infamous party poopers prevail once again. You'll encounter tortoises with more adventure in them but you're high will be ruined. I know Hazard has been average this season but he's just so much better than his team mates. It's evident in every move he makes. Remy. Wow. You suck, dude. Willian and Cesc, fantastic. Diego, amazing.
-
They should be pumped for this. Great opportunity to make a statement as true title contenders and benifit from City dropping points. But Chelsea are notorious party poopers.

https://cdn.streamable.com/video/mp4/nml0.mp4 https://cdn.streamable.com/video/mp4/6tab.mp4 Couldn't help but smile when I read Utd sold this guy in the summer as it confirmed any chances of winning the league were gone. If only Real pushed through for that De Gea deal. Utd and Chelsea ruled the PL for so long, I guess it's only normal they both declined. With the inevitable cycles in football and all. Utd need a new midfield and attack. Chelsea need a new midfield and defence. Shocking state of affairs. I don't know what City is doing. The balance in that team is incredibly off. How did they allow that to happen? But it's a good for the league. Arsenal need only two astute signings (and a better medical staff and/or better fitness regime!) to become the new leading team in England. It will be interesting to see if they seize this opportunity to grab the position of power in England. The PL has turned into the Eredivisie with money. It's absolutely crazy. By far the most enjoyable campaign I've witnessed, although I question the quality. But who cares really, this is great. It would've been far more enjoyable if it wasn't for Chelsea's implosion though.
