Hmm. You could find hundreds of GKs matching that description'. I think we'd be in for a shocker if he actually had to play.
-
I don't disagree with you. I just find it amazing how Chelsea manages to find all these incompetent players. Kind of like the man who blames everyone but himself for his troubles. Maybe the players aren't the problem. Something just doesn't make sense to me. Why do (so many) players look (so much) worse here?

Sell him. What's the point of having a player in the team that can not be trusted to do his actual job, which is performing on the pitch. But then again, Ake wasn't good enough to play either. Now he's playing for Watford in the same league. But that must mean he simply wasn't good enough for Chelsea. Neither were Bertrand and Luis. So get someone new again. Or no? Maybe sign a RB and switch him to the left as well. Chelsea seems to have very special demands overall, especially at LB. Not so much at RB. Wish those high standards showed on the pitch. Right-footed Azpilicueta or bust apparently. Bodes well for the future. I'm confused.

He seems to be in a great frame of mind right now. Coming on as an impact sub against tired legs multiple times now and performing admirably. Hard to judge him in a regular situation since he never starts. You'd think Hiddink wouldn't play Pedro with Pedro performing so poorly but it's unlikely away at the Emirates. As poor as Pedro has been, he's been doing his defensive duties and he does it quite well. Still, would be nice to see Kenedy start. But that would not be the Chelsea way.

Was hoping for a fullback and a centre midfielder. That was foolish I guess. Don't care who the new manager will be. Chelsea needs those players now. At fullback, Ivanovic is poor and Baba isn't good enough apparently. Leaves you with one reliable fullback. In midfield, Matic is broken, Mikel and Ramires are average and Fabregas can not be counted on, having only played a handful of games up to standards. Terrible situation in midfield. Can't force any kind of control in midfield, leading to defensive troubles.

Neymar is a phenomenon. He's doing everything and it's so incredibly impressive. Messi is the only forward that beats him. He's without a doubt been the best attacker of 2015/16, with Messi's two month absence and still looking to hit true top form after his return. I don't know how Barcelona do it. They always find the defining generational talents. In a way it's annoying but at the same time you can't help but admit that they get the best out of those players.

Paulo Ferreira. But he's actually a superhero.

Utd should give De Gea another new contract, making him the highest paid player in the league, because he should earn more than Rooney, build him a gigantic statue and provide him with all the concubines in the world. Transport the entire city of Madrid to Manchester if needed. They would've been in so much trouble without him these past years. Rooney is the player with the highest amount of PL goals for one club. He'll have one of the most disputed legacies of all-time. CV vs reality is just so confusing.

What makes Amelia a very good third-choice option? Released by Milan in 2014 (hardly a positive sign for a back-up GK), went almost a year as a free agent, only to end up as a back-up at Serie B level (playing just one game). Also played at amateur level during that period as a free agent. It's one of the strangest signings ever and we've seen strange signings.
-
I don't think one year in the youth set-up qualifies as a Chelsea youth player. Chelsea barely played a role in his development as he was loaned after a year (and kept going out on loans for years and years).

Oh Napoli, please go on and win the league. Great team to watch and 26 years is a long time. The town would explode. Amazing work from Sarri. Team has transformed under his coaching. A Napoli native as well. Higuain producing a monster season. 20 goals in 20 games. Carrying the team with constant and crucial goals. Here's hoping he stays fit.
-
You're a sad person. I never said I agreed with Ivanovic's inclusion btw. Not that it matters. Continue with the drama.
-
Hiddink seems to have the same effect on Costa as he had on Drogba in 09. Now the rest of the team.
-
I agree. We haven't seen the miracle turnaround we crave for as fans and this isn't good enough either. But it looks like the situation is just too dire. Either the quality isn't there or the mental state is just severely damaged.
-
I'd rather be a lucky manager than a clever manager. We've seen two managers in charge this season. They both use him. They must both be less than half decent.
-
Games were being lost on the regular before Hiddink. The opposition scoring first pretty much sealed a defeat. That's real improvement.
-
The sight of Abramovich on his phone after 0-2 was hilarious.
-
That's what annoys me so much. It's potential. Did you see how much camera time he got? Stones this, Stones that. You'd think we were watching a Cannavaro/Maldini hybrid. He has such a long way to go still. He can't even lead a defence yet. Neither can Zouma, with his annoying Hulk Smash clearances. Completely agree with you.
-
I said 2-2 before the game. Same post I think. Would've been livid if it ended 2-2 and I didn't put money on it. The two extra goals were so soothing.
-
Leaky defences...

That 2nd half was so brilliant I can't be mad about losing points yet again. Offside equaliser in the 98th min. Incredible. What an almighty comeback. The response to going down by two was amazing. Even if they had lost, I thought the game was lost after 97 min, I would have been proud by what they've shown. Cesc-Diego combo made a return cameo. Kenedy is proving to be quite the impact sub. He's a menace for tired legs. But really, that 2nd half was epic.
-
Lucky Guus!.That game would've ended in a loss before his arrival for sure. All hail Hiddinkywinky
-
Whoever assembled this squad should be shot. Can we rewind back to 2013 and do things differently? The future looked a lot more pleasant back then.
-
This game really does highlight just how crucial Hazard is/was (in top form). Everyone is just giving the ball to a team mate, almost saying 'you do something'. Own Goal, Set-Piece, Fluke, Chelsea's own Avengers, where are you? We need you.
-
Snoozefest. Can't believe how average Chelsea have become. Seeing Mikel attempting to be a playmaker... I'd laugh if it wasn't my team. Zouma aggrevates me. He can't keep the ball in play. I'll give Stones that he's far more efficient. JT, you rock. He's been fantastic. That's what you call good and intelligent defending. Both Chelsea and Everton so poor. Moves breaking down constantly. Some players trying to hard (Stones, Mikel). Pedro.. oh my. Wish I could turn off the game.
