Asemble a proper coaching staff.

I disagree. Chelsea keeps buying those players and they all turn to crap. They're not the problem. Football starts from the back. Poor build-up play leads to poor attacking. It got to a point where Hazard was the only one capable of performing at a high level with Chelsea's then okay play, because of his exceptional ability as a footballer. But now it's so bad everyone looks terrible. It's too slow, imprecise and lacking in patterns and a vision. The attacking players receive the ball either too slow or in areas they can cause no danger. Think of Argentina. These past years they've had the likes of Messi, Aguero, Tevez, Higuain, Milito, Di Maria, Pastore, Banega, Lavezzi, Gaitan (the list goes on and on really) to pick from. It doesn't get better than that. But they were never the most incredible attacking team, capable of blowing teams out of the water. You would get those players on the pitch and they would look so bland. Why? Coaching plays a role but mostly because the area in which the football started, the play was poor. Just too slow and unimaginative. The defenders couldn't play and centre midfield was always occupied by work-horses. Pass to the side, pass to the back. Hold the ball for a bit, look around, pass to the side. CB passes to CB, CB passes to CB, CB passes to LB, LB passes to CB, CB passes to LB, LB passes to DM. Horrible but it sounds familiar, wouldn't you agree? Midfielder passes to the player a few metres in front of him, he passes back and then the midfielder passes it to the side or back again.... You'd see Messi picking up balls in deep in midfield for example, receiving passes from defenders. Messi has no business there. So they had to rely on flashes and individual brilliance (again, sounds familiar). They got better but let's be honest, the WC final was reached because of deep and hard fought defending and individual brilliance from Messi and Di Maria. The Copa was even better but you still expect so much more with that kind of talent. They played some stellar football at the 2006 World Cup and Copa 2007 though when they possessed a much more balanced team. I can't stress enough how bad Chelsea's football is. It's truly atrocious. Just horrible. That's why I completely disagree with the notion of insert player X and Y and see how the team will transform. Continue to play like this and they'll look like crap too. I can already see someone like Texeira joining and providing nothing or little. And he'll be blamed and called a bad player.

Wouldn't mind them signing Isco at all. Last player they need. I hope Isco would be smart enough not to make that move either.

Harsh. I don't rate him quite as highly as most I think but he's not that bad. He's still raw and he'll need a few years because he's still learning. But he does possess some good qualities already, mainly in his physicality and the timing in his sliding tackle is there. I wish his sliding tackles were more controlled though. He's too big on 'let me slide in and kick the ball as far away as I can'. You can actually slide and keep the ball (in play). His technique is a problem but the right partner can help mitigate that issue in the back.

I like how Chelsea allowed him his wish to stay in London but yeah, Cech in Gunnerwear is no good. But I still love him to bits, I can't help it. Having Mr. T-Bo as his replacement helps (a lot).
-
It should've been in Chelsea Blue. I remember when he was the new kid on the block. A Czech GK called Cech. I was sold. Took the league by storm from the go. I was in love. A genuine legend and my favourite GK.

No, they won't. The same is said every single season. I agree with your point but you can't deny there's something fundamentally wrong with Chelsea when it comes to putting even the slightest bit of trust in young, raw players. There's always an excuse. Haven't even been able to produce a mere squad-player in all these years.

1. No. One game and a non-competitive game no one cares about as well. 2. I don't like it when people compare players like that. We don't know how well Alli did for MK Dons, we don't know how much Alli impresses in training. Alli earned his spot in the team, it wasn't given to him. There are plenty of young players on the Spurs' bench and in the stands every week. Zouma earned his game time. Same goes for Bellerin, Kane last season etc.

Varane's speed is incredible. Smalling is very fast too.
-
Ahh stats. He gets any slower and he'll need a rascal though.
-
Apparently it's still on after 15 years, which I find shocking. Popular. Never could watch myself. I wish some of our players would try out.
-
Like magic. WHS thinks the same. LVG brought on a five-year-old though. Did you see how young that boy was?

You're avatar is a drawing of you, isn't it? Was never a fan of Survivor. The song. The tv show too. Though I'd share that.
-
Let's be honest, his goal vs Sunderland guaranteed him at least 10 starts under Hiddink's reign.
-
Well, what about Jeffren? You might think who? Exactly. But even he's done some good for Barca I think the shouts for youth tend to go overboard but Chelsea really is terrible when it comes to trusting young, raw players. A strange fear they'll just mess everything up and score own goals or something. As if they guarantee a loss.

I think Moyes and to a lesser extent Rodgers ruined the chances of British managers at the top for the next few years. They were already viewed as incompetent before, for top level football. European and international experience and succes is deemed crucial. PL football is quite different compared to European football. Old Sparkie has transformed Stoke, yeah. Good job. Clever scouting as well. But British managers would do well to coach outside Britain as well.

Nahh. LeToya.

You make me wanna throw my pager out the window, cause you a what? A I'll stop now.

Not Beyonce. Destiny's Child. Get your facts straight.
-
It's just emotion taking people over. Caught up in sorrow, lost in the song.
-
No it's not. It's probably my least favourite CM duo. I'll never understand why you love Mikel so much.
-
Destiny's Child is life.

That doesn't make sense though. A one year loan is a one year lone. You know he's gone after a year even before you pick up the phone to make the call or whatever. Every club send players out on loan. Those who do well play, those who don't do well don't pay. Cheap squad depth definitely but if that player helps you club finish higher on the table, you play him. My problem with loans is when they're sent to a different club every year or to a club with 3 or 4 'home' (experienced) options in the player's position.
-
That's a fair question but the same rules apply to every player.
-
Why would you not play a player who would improve your team? I'm not talking about Chelsea and youth in general. That's a different discussion.
