He has done a 'magnificent job' in Italian football. English football is a different beast. I wouldn't mind him coming back. But with Hazard and Willian already in the team, I'd rather cash in on him and buy a young and highly talented winger as a back-up/rotation player. Or better yet, bring back Musonda.

Well, I hope he fails miserably. If the rumours about him spending big this summer is true, I hope he slides Rashford and Timothy over to West-London. He'd do the club he loves so much a great favour. Between the Guardiola vs Mourinho nonsense, the continuation of the Spurs and Leicester stories and the 'Everybody loves Jurgen' show, Chelsea will not be playing a starring role in the 16/17 PL campaign. I like that. But Conte's job has become harder. Possibly a lot harder. I don't like that.

That's strange. I read about him becoming a free agent if Marseille failed to qualify for European football. But if it's not true, he'll at least be dirt cheap.

It seems like Chelsea youngsters fail to truly connect with the club because of the lack of a genuine opportunity in the first team. Barely anyone seems hell bent on breaking through at the club. You'd think Christensen would jump at the chance to go back and play after impressing in Germany (even in Europe) but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Lass Diarra is a free agent. I'd love him back here. One of the few players I wish the club didn't sell or let go. Quick, tenacious, extremely comfortable with the ball at his feet, tidy passer, likes to play the ball forward and a fantastic shield in front of defence. Lass is back with a bang. I expect him to thrive at the EC this summer. Here's a video featuring some highlights. First half of the season only though.

That's how I see it as well. He doesn't convince me as a LB. Not at top level. Brings too little offensively and he lacks the pace, stamina and aggression you want in a fullback. I have hope for him as a holding midfielder. Ship out Mikel and bring in Ake. That's what I'd do.
-
I've already decided where he's going. He's going to join Juve as the final missing piece of the puzzle, to become genuine CL contenders. It's the perfect move for both parties. There's a TV in my head.

Completely agree with this. The constant comparisons with Mourinho and the pining for him was very annoying. You don't see Barca fans constantly calling for Guardiola. Even after he just left and things weren't going nearly as well. Same goes for Hiddink to a lesser extent. One of the incredibly few good things to come from the campaign from hell. Leave the past in the past and all that. Next step is to not make recent player legends larger than life. Could you imagine Arsenal players being compared with Henry, Bergkamp, Viera and Campbell? It's unfair because only the good is remembered. But I guess only succes will fix that.

He'll look like Bruce Buck when he decides to leave the club.

These ridiculous 'let's reignite his career' moves seriously needs to stop. Close the Chelsea rehabilitation center and start providing a platform for new careers instead.

A bloke was weeping at the end of the game. It's a bit evil (okay, very evil) but I couldn't help but think about this I'm sorry but it's been a *** season and it brought out my dark and petty side.

I can't stand how they bring up that fluke of a game every single time they're behind. I'd bet my house on a commentator saying that exact line in the year 2056.
-
Now this I like. This is sexy.

I'm loving this. They thought they had it in the bag after that first half, only to get absolutely spanked in the second half. What a fantastic way to lose a final. That contrast though. The conspiracy theorist inside me would suspect some stimulant going around in the Sevilla dressing room. Happy for Sevilla. Super happy for Liverpool.

JT is special and has earned special treatment. Could care less about what would've been 'right' business wise. He is Chelsea and this was not the right time to say goodbye. Glad this worked out. Chelsea need more characters like Terry, not less. His performance level will also improve when called upon as the players around him improve. I'm sure of it.
-
Mehh, I don't like comparing points totals. Especially considering 15/16's wacky season. When looking at the quality of their play and their involvement in the title race, this is the best I've seen 'em. Of course they faltered at the end. Yup, more pressure next year. It will be interesting to see how they do on the market and what kind of talent they can attract.
-
Spurs enjoying their best campaign since the 60s or whatever and they end up finishing 3rd. Hi La Ri Ous. That team has a lot of potential though. That's why I think any way. They're without a doubt the team I'm most interested to see next season.

Hazard passes up plenty of fine opportunities to shoot. He just doesn't like to shoot. And that's no surprise because he's not a good shooter at all. His shots lack power and his striking technique is poor. His strikes aren't clean at all. His placement is pretty good though but the lack of power ruins his shots. Hazard will never be the great goal scorer some/many people want him to be. I don't understand why that's so hard to accept. You can't just tell a player to shoot more. That's not how it works. If so, the same would apply to every player.

Promoted from the kings of losses to the kings of draws. 15/16, I bid you adieu. Good riddance. Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya. Next year will be interesting. A top four finish alone will be very tough. I'd be very happy with a top four finish and a FA Cup.

What the heck happened here? Questioning Willian? Ideal supporting cast player. He's well proved his worth after his development in the past 18 months. Chelsea's problem is the lack of starring role players. Bar (an in shape) Hazard, there's no one in the squad who truly fits that bill. Cesc and Costa are supposed to be those players but they're too flawed. Yes, Willian's form dipped in the second half of the season but that was to be expected. He'd be a different calibre of player (meaning more expensive and more sought after) if he managed to keep up that purple patch earlier in the season. The good thing about Willian is that the level of his performances rarely drops below a 5/10 and it's great to have a player like that in the team.
-
I hope he kills it in France. Returning as player of the tournament would be huge. Always good to have a player who instills fears in his opponents. It would also piss off a few people and make others look stupid. Double fun.
-
Thank you, Hazard. Magnificent display of football. Not even mad about the game. The boy was flying. How I've missed him. The importance of being top physical condition is no joke. I can only hope the same goes for the rest of this group because it looks like everyone is or was out of shape or struggling physically. Again, that was astonishing. Merci, Eden.
-
Not even Messi could do that. It still takes 11 players.
-
Baba Rahman assist. Funny.

I love you, Eden.
