This has little to do with Mikel, but do you even know what a fact is?

At least when you're standing in a wall waiting for a free kick to be taken you fully expect to get hit. Van Persie was completely unaware and vulnerable, and that can sometimes be crucial. For example, when Drogba collided with Ruddy during the Norwich game, he was struck by some force in the air, but I don't think that would have been nearly enough to knock him out had he been fully expecting to be hit. Of course, there's also the issue of how he was hit, because Drogba was turning his head toward Ruddy as he was hit, but similarly, van Persie could have turned back as Williams booted the ball and could have been hit in a much more dangerous manner. And like Ramzi was saying, Williams could have missed his kick and booted the back of van Persie's head or maybe even his neck. Anything could have happened in that situation and things could have turned out much worse for van Persie. Would he have died? Not very likely, but he certainly could have been hurt very badly on a different day. Having said that, I'm not very happy with Ferguson, either. That man is overenthusiastic when bad things happen to his players or his team, but he's very often been disgustingly apathetic about the wrongdoings of his players to other players.

you may laugh at the words of SAF but I think he was right. Williams' kick was intentional and any blow to the head might be fatal, especially when a professional footballer kicks you with majority of his strength and you're not even prepared to tight your muscles. It was stupid and reckless. If that was Mata who got that kick majority of you would call for Ashley's balls.

I beg to differ. Hazard cost the club more than Mata did.

"I said to him as we got on to the pitch: 'Where shall I play?' He said he'd play the holding role and that I should go forward. I said OK but, when the game started, I looked up and he was already up their end of the pitch."

Why does he always run into defenders like he means to?

Just had the craziest idea, but I think we should play Lampard up front instead of Torres.

Is it time we give this lad a chance to play the #9 position? I believe Moses did so w/ Palace & Wigan.

Naked Mole Rat got a reaction from dumps in 🏴 Daniel Sturridge
I think that's why di Matteo prefers Torres to Sturridge. Many people think he's utter shit, but his linkup with players around him is superb. He's also one of the better passers and crossers on the team and is fairly good at holding up the ball. The only two bad problems he has are that he's hopelessly indecisive when in on goal and that he never seems to be in the right position. Sturridge, on the other hand, is terrible at pretty much everything Torres is good at and good at pretty much everything Torres is bad at. He doesn't provide a good link like Torres, and his crossing and passing are terrible, but he never thinks twice to shoot and makes some very sweet runs.
Now, I don't think the team needs a player like Torres when Mata, Oscar and Hazard are all playing. The trio behind him have been able to provide him so many great opportunities to score, even though he's not always in the right place. He sometimes even gets three clear-cut chances in a game and still fails to score. Even if Sturridge proves to be a bit of a negative to the team effort, with the support he gets, he should be able to score many goals, and I think the team will benefit more that way.
