  1. I am completely against this. The club will struggle to finish in the TOP 4 and although he has steadied he ship, the play has been unadventurous.
  2. If he does come to the Bridge, I hope he insists on a large transfer kitty to allow him to shape the squad the way he wants it to be as a pre-requisite. The accountants in the Board can fuck off this summer!
  3. If Hiddink stays for another season, what happens to transfers then? Money needs to be spent this summer and this cannot be held off for another season.
  4. My fear is that Chelsea won't even shop for an up-and-coming player like when we bought Hazard as the Board seems to have clamped down on such transfers. Also, the scouting has been very hit-and-miss when it comes to spotting potential gems i.e. Salah, Cuadrado, Schurlle, etc. On top of that, there is the very real risk of losing our best players in Hazard, Costa and Willian due to not having qualified for CL next season. Damn the bloody Board if they push the team to drop into the bottom half because they want to save a few more pennies!
  5. What's wrong with buying ready-made superstars? That's how success has come to all the big clubs for decades and it's the best formula provided the budget is there. Any fan with a brain cell or two would rejoice if the club bought Gareth Bale, Neymar or Laporte which would add instant quality and lift the squad morale. Buying or loaning has-beens like Pato and never-weres like Papy & Hector and having quality players leave the club due to no CL competition will only ensure a bottom half future or even become relegation strugglers.
  6. Whatever it takes? I suppose tabling an opening bid of 15 million pounds with the final bid eventually rising to 20 million constitutes a "whatever it takes" stance. Just remember not to do it on the last day of the summer transfer window as we supposedly did just that last summer. Hey, the Board can always sign a Papy and a Hector then (even if it's on deadline day) and the bean counters would be mighty pleased that future profits are locked in as the loan fees and eventual sell-on transfer fees will out weight the transfer layout.
  7. I believe that Allegri is the Board's first choice for one reason - he doesn't demand a large transfer budget. Being attractive to players is the last thing on their minds, if at all.
  8. Completely groundless tabloid rumour. There is no chance in hell that last year's French player of the year and the midfield star of PSG would even give a second thought to joining a bottom half English club with a stingy and directionless board. Heck, the Board wouldn't even sanction half the amount (50 million price tag) that would be needed to attract PSG to sell. Those who watch Ligue 1 and 2 might want to suggest more so-called bargains ala Djilibdoj because those are the players that will be bought this summer alongside loaning perhaps Robinho and extending Falacao's loan for another season.
  9. Allegri might have some limitations when it comes to pulling power but the Board must open the coffers to the tune of a couple of hundred million pounds if they are serious to be title challengers again. Spending lots of cash on transfer fees and wages will attract quality players to the Bridge regardless of competition from other clubs or not being in the CL. Making insulting offers of 20 million pounds for Stones and pretending to bid for the likes of Pogba and Marquinhos while really going after has been so and never weres - if this is repeated again this summer, it will piss me off big time.
  10. If Simeone is interested in the Chelsea job, I hope he demands a blank cheque to invest in the players that he wants to bring in and clear the bloody decks before signing anything.
  11. World class striker or a former world class striker?
  12. The Pogba transfer was never on as it was a mere tabloid rumour and I would never believe that the Board would sanction a 60 million pound bid for any player. The Stones debacle clearly showed the Board didn't want to buy Stones as badly as you believe - tabling a derisory 20 million pound opening bid clearly shows the lack of intent by the Board who wanted to do things on the cheap, even for one of England's future defender. i expect a summer of signing has-beens, never-weres, a couple of youngsters for the loan market machine and a panic buy of dubious quality ala Pedro at the end of the window when the season starts badly for the club due to a lack of quality investment and the likes of Hazard and Costa leaving. Replacing Hazard with Griezmann? That's spending 60 million quid! The Board wants a nice new record profit and dividends for themselves with the 80 million or so that they will get from Real Madrid for Hazard.
  13. I am highly doubtful that that a brilliant transfer window will occur as profits is the main priority for the Board now and not the team's success on the pitch. Hence, there will be no repeats of the 2014 window.
  14. Are fans actually believing that the Board is running the club intentionally? I don't. However, their actions even if it's good for showy profits will damage the club on the field and ironically will further hurt profits.
  15. I am of the opposite view. I firmly believe that the Board will repeat the same pathetic fiasco of last summer by missing out on top quality players all in the name of FFP or whatever BS financial reason. On top of that, our best players like Hazard and Costa will in all probability, be sold. Hence, with a depleted squad worthy of a bottom half club and playing slow and turgid football, there is no place for Pedro. He's better off in some other club where as you stated, plays fluid attacking football.
  16. Mikel has played well but Matic has had Fellami and co cut through him with Matic's clueless awareness and slower-than-a-tugboat turns. Numerous interceptions? One or two is considered numerous?
  17. Only in spurts. He's been mostly very poor so far in this half.
  18. Getting rid of those two over this summer will be a good start in redeeming the club.
  19. If Matic and Ivanovic keep their first team spots next season, I fear for the future of the club.
  20. If it's true, we will have to wait till the summer for an official announcement.
  21. Starving in China? Obviously you know nuts about China. Your Wikipedia link doesn't even back that up. Smacks of euro centric bigotry.
  22. The club can start by promoting some of our youth prospects and believing that they will do a good job eventually instead of farming them out on endless loans or giving them 3 minute cameos. That would greatly reduce rubbish spending. Oh and smarter scouting too like you suggested to unearth another Zouma supplemented with the occasional up-and-coming ala Hazard.
  23. What's wrong with spending money on top quality players? No one is suggesting illogical or crazy spending sprees. On top of that, what about promoting youth into the first team? Unlike Arsenal, that's something the Board or management doesn't do.
  24. You can take your well run operations then - I wouldn't swap Chelsea's success for Arsenal's since Roman took over. You have your wish now, the Board will continue to be obsessed on balancing the books regardless of FFP rules being enforced or not. Meanwhile, get used to the club missing out on CL qualification for the foreseeable future.
