  1. While I'd hate the Scousers winning yet another cup due to our fuck up and losing another CL final would make me quite bitter I believe that historic value and reputation aside it would be an unexpectedly good season for the club since we would have both earned a record amount from CL revenue and qualified for next season's CL. Apart from that nothing will take the memory of the Barcelona game away from us.
  2. He might actually not be the disaster we thought he was. World Class sharpness and confidence today, even if it was against a Championship team.
  3. Confidence can do wonders. This is the most direct I've seen us play since our last 6 goal wins.
  4. Good job Malouda. We might win this.
  5. I swear I made the same sound Gary Neville did
  6. Any links? Can't find the match on Wizwig.
  7. ^Afaik that depends on your level of zoom.
  8. How did a topic about a new confirmed signing turn into transfer muppet paradise? :banghead: Like most of us I haven't seen enough of him to have an informed opinion but I'm delighted that we finally signed a winger who isn't in the useless 17-20 age group. Doubt Abramovich would be bothered by a 6m transfer fee and there's absolutely no chance DiMatteo has a say such deals. Since Emenalo is the current head of our scouts he is bound to have done the most work of the 3. However as with all players that are signed to help the squad (=not the image of our academy) this is mostly a group call. It's the journos that are not focussing on transfers since the football season gives them enough to write about. The clubs are constantly busy with working on transfers and scouting players.
  9. I immediately thought he'd end up at City (or with us) when I read the news. Not quite sure what to make of his "break" but I'm not really buying it. Ancelotti also claimed he needed a break..
  10. I'd love it if he was allowed able to lift the cup alongside Lamps like they've been doing for all these years Probably not going to happen but he has to be one of the first after the major figures.
  11. Love how the advantage the other English sides got in the league once they were knocked out transformed straight into cash in Chelsea's pockets.
  12. IMO Mikel has been playing at this level for at least 3 seasons now.
  13. Hope this isn't a bloody tease and you stay put this time around
  14. From your own fucking link: The beauty of the thing is that our 4th on target shot might be the most audacious attempt that will ever happen in a game of such importance.
  15. That's the first insident that came to mind. Both are inexcusable just like both cases do not erase what those players have been for the club.
  16. That's not just for the final but the whole Champions league run and probably the TV share. Get the numbers from here.
  17. Getting to the final earns the losing side €5.6 million and €9 million for the winners. Blaming the very core of the game. Doesn't get more small time than this, luckily you'll encounter such extremes only on the internet. Not sure what the point of posting idiotic bitter texts or even acting like a cunt on other forums is. This night is all about Chelsea.
  18. Would never miss the chance to carve this in e-stone.
  19. Remember my concern over him being unable to properly finish in important games..
  20. Exactly the thread I wanted to open. Strongest football moment in my memory.
  21. A certain skepticism is warranted or even expected as with anyone working in the backroom who has not actively pursued to enhance his image through the media *cough*Arnesen*cough*. However I don't see someone like Mike Forde or even Tenenbaum being slatted anywhere near as much as the Gourlay-Buck-Emenalo trio so I have to assume they're paying the price for being for whatever reason the popular names. No need to mention how pathetic embarrassments to journalism like this evidently affect and form the opinion of those easier to influence. This year's anti-luiz and anti-avb articles are testimony to that. It's a shame too as the man appears quite intelligent from the few interviews I've seen.
