  1. How did a topic about a new confirmed signing turn into transfer muppet paradise? :banghead: Like most of us I haven't seen enough of him to have an informed opinion but I'm delighted that we finally signed a winger who isn't in the useless 17-20 age group. Doubt Abramovich would be bothered by a 6m transfer fee and there's absolutely no chance DiMatteo has a say such deals. Since Emenalo is the current head of our scouts he is bound to have done the most work of the 3. However as with all players that are signed to help the squad (=not the image of our academy) this is mostly a group call. It's the journos that are not focussing on transfers since the football season gives them enough to write about. The clubs are constantly busy with working on transfers and scouting players.
  2. I immediately thought he'd end up at City (or with us) when I read the news. Not quite sure what to make of his "break" but I'm not really buying it. Ancelotti also claimed he needed a break..
  3. I did that test a while ago but such results don't change. Currently studying Politics too.
  4. I'd love it if he was allowed able to lift the cup alongside Lamps like they've been doing for all these years Probably not going to happen but he has to be one of the first after the major figures.
  5. Love how the advantage the other English sides got in the league once they were knocked out transformed straight into cash in Chelsea's pockets.
  6. IMO Mikel has been playing at this level for at least 3 seasons now.
  7. Hope this isn't a bloody tease and you stay put this time around
  8. From your own fucking link: The beauty of the thing is that our 4th on target shot might be the most audacious attempt that will ever happen in a game of such importance.
  9. That's the first insident that came to mind. Both are inexcusable just like both cases do not erase what those players have been for the club.
  10. That's not just for the final but the whole Champions league run and probably the TV share. Get the numbers from here.
  11. Getting to the final earns the losing side €5.6 million and €9 million for the winners. Blaming the very core of the game. Doesn't get more small time than this, luckily you'll encounter such extremes only on the internet. Not sure what the point of posting idiotic bitter texts or even acting like a cunt on other forums is. This night is all about Chelsea.
  12. Would never miss the chance to carve this in e-stone.
  13. Remember my concern over him being unable to properly finish in important games..
  14. Exactly the thread I wanted to open. Strongest football moment in my memory.
  15. A certain skepticism is warranted or even expected as with anyone working in the backroom who has not actively pursued to enhance his image through the media *cough*Arnesen*cough*. However I don't see someone like Mike Forde or even Tenenbaum being slatted anywhere near as much as the Gourlay-Buck-Emenalo trio so I have to assume they're paying the price for being for whatever reason the popular names. No need to mention how pathetic embarrassments to journalism like this evidently affect and form the opinion of those easier to influence. This year's anti-luiz and anti-avb articles are testimony to that. It's a shame too as the man appears quite intelligent from the few interviews I've seen.
  16. Romeu had to displace Mikel, who has been established for years, and the gambles that Lampard and Essien were. Up front even if some of the current players sign new contracts the only one who is anywhere near being established is Mata. If we lose the players that are expected to leave we'll have basically 8 players for 3 positions(Torres, Sturridge, Mata, Malouda, Benayoun, DeBruyne, Lukaku, Kakuta). While we are certain to sign more attacking players I expect him to lead the U21 bunch both due to ability and professional experience*. *Both KDB and Kakuta are 21 in the summer, Kakuta is fucked by comparison of their appearances.
  17. Considering De Vissier's age he is more likely to be one of Roman's many advisors (see the Jewish scout whose name I could never memorize). Additionally, the fall out with De Vissier's recommendation Frank Arnesen may have weaken his say in the matters of the club. Guy Hillion has afaik already left the club and while I don't share Justin's simplistic view on our scouting department the fact that we have lost/sacked at least half a dozen head scouts since 2010 and have had no known replacements is one that is at the very least alarming. In fact, the man who according to what we to know, leads our scouts at the moment is the much maligned Michael Emenalo.
  18. Two footed and more naturally skilled (= not just flashy) than all our players bar 2, even if shit hits the fan he'll get appearances under any coach as an alternative to Mata. Don't you dare mention Kakuta ; - )
  19. Heh, I'd be pretty comfortable to bet that the only goalscoring stats that are posted more often than his "impressive" achievements are those of Torres and Lampard.
  20. Yeah because it's not like he fired the best manager in the world for questioning his authority and that of the people close to him.. * The chances of an "oligarch" hiring a manager with a history of shifting the blame on his superiors (FSW had the audacity to slate Moratti) are very very slight. It's not like the most logical assumption would be that he'd go from a manager whose groups of players have always overachieved to one that would make our bunch of players underachieve worse than they have for the last 2 years. Not that you need to worry though. Moyes has lost his chance at getting that big a job. *BTW not sure how this season's player power stories created/ or let retarded speculation resurface but reading about how JT (or any player power) got Mourinho sacked might be the dumbest thing since the notion that sacking an assistant manager ruined Ancelotti's Chelsea.
  21. Not sure what the fuss is about since those are mere popularity awards(?)
  22. According to psychologists anything can be classified as a behavioral addiction so that whole term is a load of ballacks as far as I'm concerned. Substance-wise I can say I'm quite clean having never smoked tobacco or cannabis, being a very seldom drinker since 2008 and not consuming any kind of coffee since 2009. To answer the topic question I guess I spend an unhealthy amount of time on forums (being an active member of 6 and weekly following a dozen) so I could be labeled an Internet addict.
