  1. Growing bored of these multimillionaire adult babies crying and whining. Only in the sport of football is there this pathetic bubble that players are in. So tedious to even debate it because it's absolutely pathetic when considering everything else going on the world.
  2. If a player wants to go to another club then nothing we can do about it. Utd and City can pay a lot more in wages and have Pep/Jose (utd also have Pogba another frenchman) which are all pulls.
  3. Until it's reported by a legit source (bbc, romano, boufasi, etc) i don't believe it. Never heard of that fella. twitter is full of wannabe journos.
  4. Utd have Shaw and Darmian? If Rose wanted first team football then he would likely get it at Chelsea. Either that or Shaw leaves Utd and comes to Chelsea. I think both players are too good to sit on the bench.
  5. Yeah because waiting to integrate Bakayoko is a smart idea. Then what? The same people will moan and whine how Matic is useless and would quickly want Bakayoko to take his first team place, leaving Matic sat on the bench pining for a move because he's no longer in the first team. Matic wanted to move, it was obvious from being left out of pre-season with us, and he wasn't willing to sit on the bench. We are not going to keep an unsettled player for the sake of just keeping him around, it will cause unrest.
  6. Real Madrid have always had the best players. It isn't anything new. They have been regarded as one of, if not the best club in the world for god knows how long. It helps being located in Spain and able to attract top tier talent from South America and Europe with very little resistance most of the time. Of course we aren't going to be on their level, there are no clubs who are; even Barcelona are starting to look average again. It just so happens Barca and Madrid have had the two best players in their teams since early to mid 2000's.
  7. I'm still struggling to see what Pogba brings to Utd. 290k a week and 89m price tag, but he goes missing again. The guy is masquerading as an elite player when he's above average at best. Utd were fortunate to not be thoroughly beaten tonight.
  8. Surprising that people aren't paying attention to this. The fact he was poor in the French league doesn't bode well if he was to come to the EPL amongst tough central midfields
  9. I don't think this is possible with our home grown quota. I think that's one of the reasons we're looking at Drinkwater.
  10. So would we be if some of the posters here were working for Chelsea. We would be spending a billion pounds in one window.
  11. You do realise how rich Utd are? They are basically offering massive wages. Why else would a player go there? Think about it. We can't offer the wages Utd or City can in all honesty. The fact they continue to spend big and win naff all just shows that throwing money at problem isn't always going to solve it. Pogba doesn't offer enough to warrant the price/wages he brings. You think Pogba would have still gone to Utd if they offered him 100k a week? What about Lukaku?
  12. Didn't Krychowiak have a poor season at PSG?
  13. If that's true then how comes they haven't won a league title since 2012/13? Yet we've won the CL, EL, and 2 premier league titles in that time. I think I know who is more ambitious. Your talking out your arse like a few posters here, unfortunately.
  14. Really? How have Utd strengthened? I would argue Ibrahimovic saved them last year from worse than 6th place with his goals. They have bought Lukaku who may or may not score as many goals as people are saying he will. They bought unknown in Lindelof and Matic, who you could argue has had his best days. They finished last season in 6th with pretty much the same squad. Who have they bought this summer that you can look at and call a game changer? Matic isn't a game changer, neither is lindelof, and you can argue what does Lukaku bring much different than Ibrahimovic apart from youth? I think he's inferior to a 34 year old Ibrahimovic in almost all areas except pace and youth. City have bought B.Silva who was part of a very good Monaco side, but it's fair to say he and Mendy are both unknown quantities. Walker is a good player, but has his faults, and Danilo I don't know much about. They have upgraded their keeper, but that's about it. What makes them any different than last year? Pep will still continue to be stubborn in his tactics, which is obvious by his purchases this summer. City are arguably one of the stronger squads in the league in terms of quality, but they've also shown to be a team of mercenaries, not a TEAM who will fight together as one. I, for one, am certainly not overly concerned about City adding Mendy, Silva, Walker and a Keeper because apart from Walker they've not shown anything out of the ordinary to suggest they will be special game changing talents. However, I could say the same for us with Rudiger, Morata and Bakayoko, so again, it's all just speculation. We won the league last year though, and this summer we've brought in players of very good quality. It isn't us who need to worry, it's our opponents who need to strengthen to do better than us in the league.
  15. It's crazy talk isn't it. Oh let's all talk hypotheticals because of what? Absolutely nothing. There's no proof whatsoever to say Utd or City will win the league apart from a decent pre-season. Over the course of a season anything can happen. I would rather not speculate. Nobody expected Leicester to win the league, and nobody expected us to the win the league last year. I have no doubt it will be tougher with the extra fixtures from CL, but it's the same for every club with added fixtures and just as much chance as us of injuries. People just enjoy being pessimistic, negative and overly dramatic in general. I would prefer not to talk in ifs, buts and maybes because nobody knows until the season is over.
  16. Even Marcelo has his faults. There is no perfect player, and all players have negative traits. People seem to think Sandro is perfect.
  17. I really don't get the hype for Sandro. There must be cheaper alternatives who are just as good, or have potential to be better.
  18. Going on loan apparently. Held up by our search for another CM.
  19. He didn't impress me today vs Spurs, was a bit sloppy. I would take him over Alonso for his pace alone though. I feel Alonso's lack of pace is a problem when we face pacey wingers .
  20. God would people stop overreacting, it's absolutely pathetic. He already said the board and himself are working to find the right solution, so they know what they want and are working on targets. Not every transfer can be done in straight away. It takes time to negotiate. If anybody has actually read about the transfer process, it takes anywhere from a few days up to weeks depending on the situation. Everybody chooses to take the negative from everything Conte speaks about transfers. What is he supposed to say to the press? He's not going to speak on issues which are between himself and the club. The quicker people get that through their heads, the better. It's fine though, carry on your agenda against the board. Fuck me.
  21. Hazard doesn't have the goal scoring extinct someone like Neymar has. Until he gets that he won't. Ronaldo showed this in his time in the Premier league when he was scoring left, right and centre. You either have it or you don't. Hazard needs to learn to be selfish and score more with his ability, but I won't hold my breath.
  22. And where would he go? You could easily counter that argument by asking would he have got a first team place at one of either Bayern, Real or Barcelona (I'm assuming these are the clubs you mean when you mention best teams in the world) going on previous seasons? You could argue he wouldn't get ahead of Ribery at Bayern, Bale at Real Madrid (if going by previous seasons) and Neymar at Barcelona. If they played him in a different position then possibly he would get a place, but no certainty. He is still very inconsistent and goes missing more times than we would over the course of a season. The elite players can grab the game by the scruff of the neck, but Eden is still yet to show this side of his game on a more frequent basis.
  23. I wouldn't say spending 200m on one player is ambition. Football is a team game. It's all about having the right balance. Having mercenaries who want to be the focal stars of the team is a recipe for disaster. PSG can get away with it though because they have next to zero competition in that league.
  24. Bitten us in the arse with Costa now though.
