That will be a drag. But tbf huge blunder by our manager to pick Willian over KDB. If Willian signed for Spuds he would be as Irrelevent as any player from Spuds( Obviously English great hope is the exception). It is as clear as day Willian level is a club like Spurs, while KDB was wanted by the likes of City and Bayern.

Fantastic addition for City it has to be said. Not popular but Pellegrini is hellva manager, been a fan since he turned Villarreal into a La liga powerhouse. The yellow submarines were so fun to watch, truely remarkable to think they qualified for their first ever top flight football only five years ago. I keenly watched them because of Riquelme, one of the most talented footballer ever. But anyway, City are already the clear cut fav KDB just makes them even better.
-
Do you think we could have done better then City in the CL with their draw? Last two seasons they have been knocked out by Barcelona, no shame in losing to argubly the best side in football. Three years ago they were in a group with Real Madrid, Dortmund, and Ajax. Madrid and Dortmund were both simi finilist in that year competition. They have dissapointed in the past, but in recent years i don't think so. City and the rest of PL are not good enough to compete with the best clubs in the world. On the other hand we have been quite lucky with our draws, we honesly should have done better especially last season.

I do, isn't football about entertainment and memories? The shakhtar game(Moses header especially) and the ones against Juve( Oscar debut especially) is as momrable as any group stage matches. The only thing i can remember from last season group stage are the results........scratch that i can even remember that all i can remember is we advanced. Real Madrid vs Chelsea would have been a treat, a matchup to savor and remember for many years.

Maybe Pogba was unavailable when they did the shootings?

Better to fail miserably then to delude ourselves. I like reality checks.

Lol stop putting the term bus Parking and counter attacks in the same sentence. They are not synonymous. Klopp Dortmund taught Mou Madrid a lesson in football. Dortmund owned Bayern for years until Bayern and others took all their best players. Also one thing to park the bus against those sides and another to do that against any decent side. The day we sign players like Pogba is the day they equate Chelsea with a better brand of football.
-
You guys actually thought we could land pogba? Lol like he would want to come here and park the bus. The only quality players we can land are Barca rejects or Atletico players.
-
Should have signed for Juve, like it was widely speculated before we came into play.
-
I honestly would welcome Alti and real matchup. Last two seasons tactical blunders costed us in the CL, against PSG and Atletico. Rather make that blunder against thoes teams in the group stage then in the knockout stage. Better to be tested now and make a change if needed.
-
Mate the difference is before mou arrived we were building around young players. City is a win now mode, it makes sense to bring in established and older players because their core players like Toure, Silva, Kompany, and Kun window of opportunity is closing. It would be foolish on their part to build a squad for the future when they should focus on winning now.
-
I think it is Pogba or bust, i do not think we will look at other CMs in this transfer window.
-
It is the equivalent of Chick fil a imo.
-
He is out of shape. Just look at this picture, he needs to drop weight. Should be dropped from the staring XI but he won't.
-
Credit also to Hazard, teams are less likely to go all out attack due to Hazrard presence. Teams take a much more conservative approach.
-
Willian fanboys are reaching Torres fanboys level. The amount of excuse is unreal. Watching Pedro was like watching Diego Costa initial games. Torres and other strikers we had made us forget what a good striker looked like until Diego Costa arrived. Same with Pedro, completely remained us what a RW is capable and should do. Fanboys wants you to believe that Willian has been poor because of Ivanovic, Pedro debunked that myth already. Lol some are drooling over a simple pass on the counter like it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
-
Doesn't he become more valuable to keep though. Pogba comes we switch to 4-3-3 most likely right? Who are the alternatives to Cesc and Pogba? Ramires and RLC? Definitely would be wise to do everything to keep him. Based on merit I have no doubt Oscar can displace Cesc, unless Mou does a Flipe Luis to him. Oscar and Pogba are much more balanced duo.
-
Btw mate there has been a lot of players that have underperformed playing alongside messi, last season was the exception since Messi moved the RW instead playing in his traditional false 9 role. Ibra, villa, Sanchez, Pedro, and last Neymar played much better since Messi is no longer the team false 9. Also remember Barca best trio before last season was Henry-Eto'o- messi. Which was also before Messi moved to the center. Lucho did a great job moving messi, and allowing Neymar and Suarez to express themselves.
-
I honestly don't know why you guys think Pogba would want to come to Chelsea. Let me put this in context this is the equivalent of United fans thinking they can sign Neymar from Barca. Think from Pogba perspective for a change, does the player wants this move? Pogba is going to stay at Juve for one more season then move to Barca after their ban been lifted. Is Chelsea more attractive to verratii and Koke then their current clubs? Imo alti and psg are better clubs atm, don't see why they would leave their current club so late in the transfer market.

Question does Pogba, Koke, or Verratti want to come to Chelsea? persoanlly i don't think so. Ultimitely the player holds the most power, if the player wants a move i have no doubt the two clubs can get something done.
-
There is also Sturrigde mystery injury before his transfer to Liverpool.
-
Interesting to each their own. I feel there is a uncanny similarity between martial and studge. In physics and their awkward kinda running. Very similar In that regard and also in playing style too, both forwards are very versatile. Studge idol was Henry, you kinda see similarity in style. Shame his career has stagnated due to injury he is a quality player. Back on Martial, potential top striker. Him and silva will be fun to watch this season.
-
Barca offerd 80m for Pogba and rejected? My openion it was a political ploy so Laporta can get elected, the new elected president didn't fancy Pogba. I don't think Barca made a bid at all.
-
Mou is one who believes a player should earn their position. Highly unlikely he would start Pedro and BAba from the get go.
