Pretty sure Spurs will beat Genk in the second leg so it's not a terrible result. You are saying it reflects badly on English teams yet Liverpool were runners up last year. Even though we won it getting knocked out of one competition and put in another is just acknowledging failure. Spurs who I loathe have gone from playing Europe's elite at Wembley to playing also rans and this could put in jeopardy their top four finish with this and there still in the F.A.cup so fixtures pile up. If we had by some miracle qualified for the Europa league last season there would be apathy from our fans especially in the league stages where I imagine we would be playing in front of crowds of 25-30,000 unless tickets were massively reduced. Mourinho's final game in 2007 was a Champions league game played in front of 24,000 and I remember going to a Uefa cup game in 2002 where the crowd was 14,000.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has welcomed his team’s soon-to-be-confirmed exit from the Champions League, insisting it will give him and his team time to focus on excuses for their ongoing domestic failure. After a first leg 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich, Arsenal are now left to focus on failing dismally in the premier league and FA Cup.

His record is more or less one in two and he was a better finisher than Drogba although Drogba was the better all round player. Don't know what you mean by defence force. 16 million was cheap compared to 50 million on Torres and 32 million on Shevchenko who I can't honestly remembering ever having a good game. As for Torres he's just fucking hopeless although both him and Shevchenko were both carrying injuries when they signed and it's pretty clear they weren't Mourinho and Ancelotti signings which I imagine can't be great for a player's confidence.

Can only think the person with the worst ever forum name Bernard NY Burgesson (he sounds like a retired colonel in the Trump administration) is about 12 years old Muz. Without being a grammar nazi have a look at his grammar and punctuation. Tammy Abrahams more prolific than Costa? he might as well have said Tammy Wynette.

Did you go yesterday BB because anyone who's ever been to Burnley comes back thinking fuck never again I can't take the bleakness . A mate of mine nearly moved to Burnley he saw an ad for a furnished flat the estate agent said '' There's the sofa and washing machine now if you would like to come inside !. Chin up son and keep the blue flag flying high.

Just seen the interview with the special needs one on MOTD another thinly veiled dig at us. Absolutely pissed myself laughing when he says you have to play attacking football when your Man United manager didn't see much evidence of that when you played at Anfield mate.

This is from a British show called 15 Storeys High. It has a cult following and didn't get the audience it deserved because the BBC put it on at stupid o'clock. It stars Chelsea fan Sean Locke here seen with the late great Felix Dexter. I absolutely love this show and like the man in the clip I'm trying to spread the word.

Don't know if you heard about that geezer Andrew Lawrence F.B he came out as a UKIP supporter. There was a Sky documentary about him called The Outcast. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/dara-obriain-reacts-to-bitter-self-delusional-andrew-lawrences-comments-about-balding-fat-comedians-9823733.html

Writing a column in the Guardian is hardly political journalism. David Mitchell ( British comedian) writes one as well you can't ignore the big issues of the day. British comedians have a history of satire going back to the early 60's with Beyond the Fringe with my comedy hero Peter Cook. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/nov/27/who-else-might-donald-trump-want-hire-for-the-uk-nigel-farage-ambassador

Such a prick. Any decisions that go in his favour and there's been fucking plenty of those down the years he doesn't see like a Gallic Mr Magoo. Any ones against him and he's up in arms something that Bellerin couldn't manage but Alonso could and which he did fairly simply because he wanted it more.

From about 1977 to about 94 the Northstand was full on only a few occasions by only a handful of teams. I would say Spurs, Man United (not always same as Liverpool) West Ham, Arsenal, Millwall, Boro play off game, Sheffield Utd cup match are all I remember seeing. QPR were given the whole end one year but it wasn't exactly rammed.

Fair enough son. 1984 we took Highbury over 20,000 Chelsea packed in the Clock End it was a great day. Then in 1987 they gave just the corner bit we were absolutely fucking crushed similar thing at White Fart Lane the same season. I only found out a while ago after watching it on Youtube that they left a massive gap because of segregation you literally couldn't see fuck all and I'm 6ft 1. No football fan was that surprised when Hillsborough happened it was just a matter of time.
