I brought this from another thread as it seemed a better place to carry it on. Theres a few different reasons IMHO why the types of supporter has changed and how its affected us. When I started watching us there was a mixture. Alot of shirt types, some families, 1 day tourists, a few hospitality types but the majority of us were just normal people who loved the club, liked a pint and shouting on the lads and giving abuse to the other teams supporters. Since our rise to stardom its changed alot. Money has made a big difference. I look around the MH Upper and its changed. I dont see the passion there was. Theres people that dont even stand up at the 'exciting times'. They dont join in singing any songs, they dont show any signs of disapproval or even look like theyre enjoying themselves. At times when we have a bit of noise going on they actually look disgusted. I know that we are all different and support us in different ways and IF they ARE Chelsea supporters thats fine but I know from a bank I used to work for they bought alot of season tickets and they would give tickets out to employees for gratitude and to clients and customers for different reasons. These people saw Chelsea as a kind of fashion accessory and would stand around the coffee machine or in the bar telling of how they support us and how they rubbed shoulders with nutters. I hate the fact that we have become just a stop on a tourists map and it tares me up seeing the stalls selling daft half n half scarves. Remember back in 2004 when they took 1/2 the shed from us to give to away lot. There was meetings down the So Bar trying to decide what to do. Nobody could agree so it meant all our main noisey lot ended up dispersing around the Bridge. Some stayed, some went to MH, some went East. So this is a big reason why we dont have the most vocal support AT HOME. When we go away of course all us noisey buggas are all together once again. What I would love to see happen when we get the new Bridge sorted (apart from safe standing) is for a big sort out. Let everyone that wants a laugh and a sing song get back together. (Would be great to get us all back in the Shed End.) It would be a big help support wise I think.

How about a draw? May not be seeing alot of you this season then IF things stay like it is now. None of us like knocking any of the lads but theres times when you just cant blow smoke up their arses and say what you really feel. Its just so confusing to see what a mess we are in general without picking on individuals and coming from a winning season to a shambles hurts! So if you want to look at the side thru rose tinted glasses thats your option and Im not telling you not to but please give others their own opinions if they dont agree with yours. Differences makes the world go round.

Not really sure how I feel about playing Happy in diff positions around defence Not for him or us. I know Mou likes Swiss army knife type players that are flexible enough to play wherever needed but I'm not a Jack of all trades kinda guy normally. These guys train for 1 position most of their lives so using them outside that role can only confuse them. But at the same time I would rather the lad play than be wasted on the bench. IMHO if we dont start using him when he sees hes better than 2 of our back 4 I think he will be tempted to leave. Its a shame to have such a great young talent unused. I know we got 3 lads on 1 year renewables so hopefully like Wenger they wont be round long but I expect more from Mou the defence maestro. With Chelsea renown for a great defence why cant he see the Bane/Cahill hole?

We have to look at the season this way. At least we wont have all that bloody extra pressure piled on us about breaking records and going for 4 chunks of silverware. Its better to get our losses out of the way and finish on a high (like the bloody north Londoners) I love playing the Mancs on their own turf and I always have a great time taking the piss out of guvnors. I would love us just to put on a positive performance with each of our lads full of fight and going out looking like they up for it. Even if we lost that way it wouldn't be for a lack of trying.

I find it strange that we can slag some players off that wont settle for being a team player and fight for his place instead of them wanting to be a definite starter yet others we say is totally understandable and kiss their arses and wish them luck so they can help the team I hate most in the world. As for Mou and our defence it does my head in. He seems to have this blind faith and love of old defenders right now. I understand having a blance of young and experience but when other teams can openly see that our biggest weakness for them to attack is Bane/Cahill (like today) then just imagine what a better team is going to do. Bane had a new one ripped for him today and its not going to be pretty. Its sad to see because as a man I imagine him to be as good for the lads as Drogs was. But I think as a player I dont understand why Mou keeps him.

We all know Mou has a blind faith for whatever fuckin reason in Bane so I'm afraid I cant see Dave taking his spot no matter who e bring in as a LB. Or we could have just brought in a RB. Im wondering right now seeing as its not going to be our year that we dont pay the blackmail we are being forced to pay for Stones/Baba and we spend the year finding and kissing the arses of the players that we do desperately need, I know both the lads are good and would both probably do ok with us but just maybe we could get better for the same amount or maybe even a bit more. It smacks of desperation now with the other clubs knowing our situation and how we do need these players badly so of course they want to get as much out of us as they can and who can blame the greedy gits.

Dont get me started about the change in our supporters bud. Who knows it may be the same across the league (but from what Ive seen on other teams forums its not as bad as ours - and I couldn't give a toss about anyone elses team anyway). But for whatever social and economic reasons our supporters have changed even from the time I started following us. It may just be the biggest thing that pisses me off.

The thing is about forums is that theres some of us that shows our emotions easier than others and we dont all share the same opinions about the club or certain players. but we do all share our love for Chelsea. I dont mind if I dont agree with somebody saying somebody is playing crap and I dont mind if I dont agrre with somebody saying a lad was playing brilliant. Different opinions is what makes the world go round. I dont know about anyone else but Ive had some right rows with our own supporters up in the stands when theres been a difference of opinion. We can be some right emotional gits at times but i wouldnt want to be anywhere else. As for our Eden hes gonna come good we all know that, Its just hurting to see him missing right now when we need him to step up and drag the other lads with him. Thats what great players do. Ive got the perfect tonic for him. Just brewed some Strawberry flavor cider! Would def put lead in his pencil.

We have to admit that the main reason we won last season is because we started off on a high and hit the ground running whereas our main opponents all had their own different issues. One big thing I'm at a loss to understand is we have BASICALLY the same lads that we had the start of last season. Last year and now I see and feel 100% difference between both the players and supporters. I felt prsonally that we played some of the best football I have watched any team play let alone Chelsea. We were attractive,fast,fluent,precise and even out tika takid Barca. I know Mou drills defence into the guys and Ive said it before but I'm wondering if now the lads have had their natural instincts to go for the goal drilled out of them and theyre too worried about defending?

I cant say much good about today but it seems if we speak negatively about the lads we are pessimistic. All I see is people not trying to make excuses for a team that I dont know why the majority of them even turned up. If even Mou cant get the best out of them then theres problems. Not just the obvious ones that get mentioned a thousand times a day but WTF is up with Hazard and Cescy? Our 2 most creative guys that looked brain dead for most of the time. Hazards wondered around like a lost soul so far apart from the final 10 mins. Its going to take weeks for us to get to a state to play anywhere near what we can, if we do at all. Right now Im just hoping we make Europe next season. What I would dearly love to be is a fly on the wall following Mou around and listening to what he truly feels and not just the BS he throws out to the supporters and the media. One good thing from the day is Ive just cracked opened my first homebrew turbo of STRAWBERRY cider and its bloody gorgeous!! Only followed a Youtube recipe made with Strawberry Ribena cordial. Ended up @ 9%! I was thinking about sending Eden a few bottles. I need a few to chill out tonight so Slante guys!

I woke up this morning (no its not gonna be a Blues song) and realized all is well in Ujs small corner of the world. I'm not skint, I got my heath, the love of a good woman and follow the best team in the land. And altho I cant say I'm happy with us right now and I'm scared Ive decided to go today with a fresh start. We are going to go out today and show the PL just what we are made so when the rest of the shitbags play us theyre going to rue the day! COYB!!

I would have clicked the 'Like This' box but I dont agree with the "I am very happy with our squad" part. I would happily upgrade 4 of our 1st team if at all possible. And our depth is awful.

The way I see it is I wouldn't want any other manager behind us. Yeah OK right now I'm not chuffed about how things are but its because I put Mou up on a pedestal and I'm just not used to having bad thoughts about him. The way his mind works theres got to be some meaning to his madness, Just right now Ive got no fuckin clue what hes playing at. All we can do is guess. But if we fuck up this season I cant imagine him doing it 2 in a row which means next year the world is ours. And if it means we go through a cycle like that while hes with us I could live with it. Whatever we do I'm going to be there shouting my damn fool head off.

Co Spot on. Confidence is catching and so is unconfidence. Like I said when Mou came back every single one of us was happy. The last 2 years Ive felt for most of it unbeatable. From the players to the stands we felt strong. Then starting from Jan time and the more defensive playing the confidence waned even tho we still was winning. It didn't matter we were points ahead the confidence was slipping. If we had gone into the transfer season with Mou saying look we got a great side but we need to strengthen a,b,c and he went out and got whoever it was that he thought we needed we would have gone into pre season buzzing. But he didn't.

Hes not daft then is he? Keeping the story alive and building up his hype gets both us and manure bidding and a couple extra mill hes got to give to Barnsley is back in their pockets. We gotta look at it like how we will feel next season after we haven't won anything and the Fat Spanish Wanker IF hes still there comes blowing smoke up Edens arse telling him hes going to build the club around him and make sure he wins the Ballon d'Or. We will be going bonkers when theres £80mill waved in front of Romans nose. Its going to happen.

So instead of buying specialists thats trained for a certain position all their lives we go for Swiss army knives. A small blade that works ok. A Jack of all trades and a master of none! I'm all for a AM that switches L to R or a LB that goes to RB it keeps opponents on their toes but an attacker we play as a defender is daft.

Nah, the last 2 seasons I was on such a high I bet on us every week no matter who we played. Last year there was a feeling in the stands that was electric till Xmas time and everyone felt like we ruled the world. There wasn't a bit of skepticism. All the guys I know that follow us are all feeling different scales of pessimism this season and I dont feel confident of beating Swansea.
