No we realy need both. We have hardly any form of creativity in the team from the back to the front of the pitch.And this has been going on awhile. With Golo and the wee baldy man running back and forth we need someone who can take the ball from defence and fan it about where needed. And if they can add a goal and assist it would be perfect. We just dont have anyone to compare to Golo or the playmaker we need.

Ive been among his more vocal supporters I suppose but I would take £60-70 mill for him happily as long as its not Manure or another PL team. Yes it would be difficult to bring in a GOOD replacement but we are going to have to do it for allot of other positions too so its no different than any other position. Hes been OK at a small club like Palace but still didn't set the world on fire. I really cant see what the hype is. What am I missing? Him playing for England only shows the lack of decent English CMs there are. I really think you give the club far too much credit mate. 1st you said we would probably show 'respect' to Conte and noy announce Sarri coming in till he was sacked now this. Now i love the club deeply but if they wanted to show Conte any type of 'respect' they've had mutiple chances while the media and players were slagging him off. All they needed to do was make a simple announcement saying the club had faith in him and had his back. Even if they blinkin didn't It might have made the season so much easier from January. One of our biggest faults lately. Thats how I feel mate I know that its only one player which in the big picture its not much but its difficult not to let your feelings go overboard when we haven't had anything to get excited about in ages. But when you take a step back and look at us. And IF the things that are APPARENTLY being worked on comes off, we might have at least the start of putting something good together. Rugani and,Golo should be excellent signings. We add a playmaker like Seri or Kovacic. A,Willi upgrade like Pulisic or Martial, Morata replacement like Higuain,Lewa, etc and we then have the makings of a team that can do good things.. Now throw in a good Tibo replacement like Alisson and if necessary a Eden switch like Asensio and we become real contenders. But you put them with an attack minded manager and I'd have difficulty not to involuntarily emit some sex juice.

We are rapidly running out of reasons as to why this deal isn't happening. This latest one seemed the most logical for our new FFP conscious penny pinching awareness. And if that was right we would presume that all the parties concerned had been aware of that plan for awhile and were just waiting for that calendar to roll around. Well that date has come.
