While I can understand your worries and on 1 level I can agree, what you have to remember is that this is a brand new system. We are asking all of the lads to play a system we have been playing the exact opposite of. Yes the wee baldy man looks out of place at times, and he could be used to strengthen the defense. But once the lads are more used to pressing as a single unit in formation he is going to be of a great use. We are just using his amazing defending skills in an attacking way. The lads quite a good dribbler and also a good shot so we cant go into this thing 50% We have to stick with it. and have to fully commit to Sarriball and having the WBM playing further up field is a necessary part of our changes. And if you read his intervies he actually seems to like his new roll. There will obviously be some mistakes but I'm shocked actually we have had such a smooth start. 'm all for giving Sarri some space to make some mistakes just as long as we learn from them.

Sounds like our strikers eh Of course in a perfect world we would have at least 1 striker we could count on to give us goals but IF we could get ourselves a good balance for Eden - something we have needed and have tried MANY in that position to find one - then at least it wouldn't be so imperative to find a top striker and to talk him into joining us. I'm not skagging Pedro off as I do prefer his more direct approach over Willians fussy style. And I wouldn't mind at all us keeping him as supersub IF we could sign someone like Bailey.

I agree with both of them to be fair. Luiz is great for our spirit on and off the pitch. I also agree with the guys statement about giving it back if someone like Fellaini starts getting physical. I dont know if AC could handle that. And tho I cant hold a couple of bad games against him (cause Luiz has many more) but the games he mentioned Barca and Spuds really dont look good on ACs CV. I wouldn't want to lose AC as it would be a crime but in a perfect world I would like a hybrid of both of them.

It scares me that I have to agree with you mate.I can't see another reason that he won't renew. It cant be now that he wants to only join RM to get a CL win in his CV surely as I dont see it nailed down as it was with the peacock. BUT IF we could do some sort of deal for either Asensio/Isco or Varane and let us buy Mat K it would ease the pain somewhat. And yes the whole idea of Luiz as our main CB DEFENSE wise scares me. I dont mind some players 30+ but we do have a few and think it time we looked at getting some younger ones that we can put a team together that has the possibility to play together for awhile.

Tho my attitude on having a player in a position that he is trained for all his career has softened to where I find it acceptable for a more multi functioned player I would like us to finally have a proper balance to Eden on the RW. I wouldn't say he liked going deep but I do think he enjoys picking the ball up in our own half (not deep) and taking it with him BUT even tho hes good at it I think its a thing he has to learn how to stop doing in this system. We all know (or hope so) that seeing Eden in full dribble is a thing of beauty and one of his strengths But there are times when It does slow the play down where a quick pass would be better/faster. With all this chat about Eden scoring silly amounts of goals (lets hope he does)Even tho he isn't normally such a prolific goal scorer are we pinning too much hopes on this to happen?
